I'm not sure I understand your question. The launcher installs the release folder, and the files that go in and below it, at the location you told the launcher to install them (or a default location if u didn't specify)Im curious if i'm missing something now. Download launcher on my new pc but not seeing a release file?
- Added MQNext as a server type
- MQNext can now be downloaded and tracked through the Very Vanilla tab
- Macros for MQNext are working
- Plugin downloading for MQNext is not currently supported in the launcher.
It's for Live, and no there is no Test or Emu for Next.@r1pt1de is "MQNext" for Live or Test?
Shouldn't there be a server option for each?
There is a launcher update
Make sure you go to your launcher's Setting tag, and check for updates if you're not running the latest verison

might have to try and deleting and reinstalling the launcherIt says I already have the latest version. RG works fine on my laptop, desktop has the 12/31/1969 date.
1 - delete your AppData - paste this in windows explorer search window (any folder) %LocalAppData%\RedGuides and then delete the contents in that folder
1b - Did you skip step 1? if you did, go back and do step 1 :)
2 - then go to add/remove programs, and remove the redguide's launcher
3 - reinstall the launcher
4 - open launcher
5 - point the re-install to your existing mq2 directory
6 - boom - back in business
7 - get a snack/drink - you earned it!
I deleted the local app data, reinstalled, it seemed to work. was busy in game so couldnt try it, but it wouldn't let me reconnect.
I logged out of eq, re-ran patcher and am back to 1969.
Rather unusual date when loading up the RG Launcher.
Of course it's patch day . . . So I would not expect a working version to be released for live servers quite this soon.
But this date was showig for Latest Version for Live, Test, EMU, and Beta . .. .. and couldn't goof off with MQ2 running even on the test server (which supposedly had the update earlier than live servers) because MQ2 refused to even update or load.
Kinda puts a kink into an already lousy day .. .. Bad enough to be jonesing while TheyBreak fucks up something new and unexpected.
Can you both try now? I removed your api keys server-side, let's see if making new ones fixes it.

Thank you for helping to debug this. I'm not detecting your new api key on our server, which should happen when you log in. Are you logged in as Kallieboxer?Did, logged out of forums and relogged in there too. still 1969

I removed a few old access tokens server-side, I will do that for others as well. Thank you for your quick responses this evening!@Redbot I think it was because i had it running on my laptop. I did the unistal Sic mentioned on both, re-installed on desktop and its the right date now. going to log in to check.
Thanks!

have you tried clicking "logout" and then logging back in on the launcherI opened the "RedGuides" launcher as I normally do and tried to run MQ2. When I did, I got the error that I needed to update the version ect. When I went to click the Reinstall/Update button it didn't work. I have been trying to run this all afternoon. When I went to download it from the link on the HOMEPAGE it installed it into a COMPLETELY new location that I cannot access at all from my PC and I have having issues trying to get it to run at all.
Anyone else having the same issue?
What version are you usingit isn't even showing that on my launcher
says v0 lol
yeah, this shows that mq2 is running the last update, and not the one from todayMQ2 expected eqgame Date and Time to be"
May 14 2021 14:19:57
But eqgame's Date and Time is:
June 10 2021 10:05:29
Do you need to patch one of them?
Loading of MQ2 can not be completed.
Ok well I cannot update it with the patcher how do I go about doing it?
