MQ2War

Plugin - MQ2War 3.1.52471.11

Can we add Flash of Anger rk1-3 line to multiple mobs and boss line? It's a very important ability. I haven't been seeing it trigger at all for both mass pulls and bosses.
we currently use it as an "oh shit" if you're under 50% health, of if the mob is a named mob and you're under 70% (and not in 2h stance). no plans on changing that. so if you don't see it trigger, then you're doing pretty well :) it is also on a not-insignificant (but not overwhelming) timer, so we're not going to use it every fight
Also, regarding endurance. As a end game raid warrior main who has been playing warrior as a main since Velious I see the tool is a bit too aggressive with some of the abilities even on trash mobs where it is a bit unnecessary. This is causing a high amount of endurance usage. Will pull a parse and reply in line with some observations. Otherwise it is has been working great.
we're currently happy with usage, if you want manual play for "trash mobs" you can always pause the plugin - many people do for their "mains" that they've played they way they play it for infinity years. the automation isn't going to throttle itself for no reason. It can't/doesn't know that this particular mob isn't going to kick your ass, it is just using its abilities when it is fighting when we're asking it to. I'd rather use an ability and ensure the win than not. The only real exception is "Throat Jab" which if you have "Modern Regen" we use at the end of our routine, whenever possible, as there's no way to really know if a mob can cast or not (Warrior mobs sometimes cast spells etc)

Lots of folks are of the opinion (and message me about "things being broken") because we don't just willy nilly hit every button during combat every fight - which we're not going to do either :p - we're pretty happy with how we've allocated things

you can also LEM / manually use convalesce (as long as you don't mind the "negative infinity bazillion haste") - we don't (currently) automatically use it because of how important white damage is

Sounds good. I am very happy in how these plugins reacts to changing encounters and not just mashing buttons. I work in infrastructure and cloud dev ops so I'm very accustomed to ensuring that the product is good for many scenarios. I would never expect it to do better than I can manually for main; but for classes I am weaker on these are top notch! Amazing work on all these plugins!! These plugins have increase my alt dps 10x fold!

Also, thanks for taking time to reply to all of these posts, really shows your passion for it. If there is ever anything you need help with, or need test toons, let me know.

Hi Sic,

With RoF unlocking on Mischief, we've got Imperator's Command. Any chance you could have the plugin check to see if there's currently Imperator's Command in the song window before we pop ours? Having my one warrior overwriting the other's a few seconds after it's cast, so getting about 40-45% uptime instead of the 66% I could be seeing with two wars in a group

Thanks again for all the work on these plugins, they really are impressive

Hrm, sure will take a look tomorrow, this is likely a "it'll overwrite so let's overwrite"

@Hihi should be good, I went ahead and added a check - I wanted to get it in before the new MQ build - should work, but i didn't test it (which is not usual)

ChatWithThisName updated MQ2War with a new update entry:

7/30/2024

- added toggle for gutpunch
- changed "Dicho" reference to "Progressive" ex. UseDicho -> UseProgressive
- - UseDicho is still the ini setting, and UseDicho would still work as a command
- Corrected longstanding issue where using "T2DefensiveOnly" as a command line option instead of "T2DefenseOnly" would not save your option.

Read the rest of this update entry...

I love the plugin but the one thing I would like added is a toggle to pull with range over melee. My war half the time just runs up and hits mob and doesn't use his bow. then it will use the bow and i just never know which one he will use. Is there an open to always use range for warrior? yes, have bow equpped and arrows in slot. the summon arrows part works great
thanks.

Q. Why am i having issues with bow pulling?
A: Make sure you have your bow equipped, and arrows in your ammo slot.
We nav to the mob and if we find eq->mq says we have line-of-sight on the mob we'll throw some arrows. EQ is slow to update bow pulling because arrows have travel time, and then also take time to populate xtarget window. I would recommend considering using huntertank mode with everyone else chasing - it actually will net you more kills and less downtime. if you want to have a better pulling experience on a warrior - i'd suggest getting a staff of viral flux.

We don't actually try and "i don't want to use my bow" we try and use your bow - sometimes eq->mq doesn't say you have line of sight when you do (think mob toe in the ground), if mq doesn't think we can shoot it, we don't try

I was wondering if there has ever been any thought to turning Rage of Rallos into a toggle command. I say this cause with our new weapons any time I am not in tank roll and the plugin uses this skill I pull agro on raids. I have starting to click it when not needed just to have it on cool down before boss fights. I pretty much never want that skill used until I want it used and will click it manually. Thanks for all the work you devs do on these plugins.

no current plans on changing it, we only use it during burns, you might want to adjust when you're burning (lots of folks ignore adjusting burncount)

Yes that is kind of the issue. On raids and on Burns when the warrior hits Rage of Rallos they pull agro from the MT in dps mode with 2 LS raid war only weapons. SO the only way to counter that is to go 2hander or click the spell before you burn on named. A few times it as wiped me on raids I do with a few others with alts because the other wars grabbed it off me on burn and we did not move out of fire. Just some food for thought.

Yeah I get it, but I mean 2 hate weapons and hate mask, and war melee dmg already likely getting close and/or gonna rip anyhow :p

This aa makes you proc your weapon more often, (as you know, explaining for other people), so using it while wearing hate proc weapons means lots of hate.

Its not really a "food for thought" situation, I fully understand the ask, and I understand what you're saying, I just disagree this needs a toggle, because of the other things I mentioned.

I believe you could also block the buff, or click it off (using LEM, for example).

Definitely get your point, and not trying to argue about it.

Adding options means more likely people who don't know some of the finer nuances doing things to unintentionally neuter themselves, which is one of the many reasons toggles are almost always a "no". So the considerations we put into things are much deeper than something that probably looks like "a no brainer" for you - and for your style and use case it for sure is a no brainer

NP.. just thought I would ask. the 2 I box raids with we have got a work around just would make it easier. But I can understand your point too. The lem is a good idea will work on that.

If you are a dps warrior, you should absolutely be using a 2 handed weapon. There is not much reason to ever be dual wield as a warrior, especially in a raid environment (tank = sword-n-bored, dps = 2H).

Thank you for this. I was shocked I did not notice this on last nights raids..... Also note my 2 handed weapon damage is 1617/36 with 1 proc. My 1handers are 1147/35 and1090/35 and both have healing target of target procs (means healing me). I have never seen my dps parse of 2hander beat my 1handers.

Wrong forum
I am pretty new to these plugins and love them. I am sure this has been answered before and a link or quick answer would be greatly appreciated. I recently was playing and accidentally swiped my MQ2War screen halfway off the screen and cannot move it back down as I cannot grab the banner at the top to move the window. I've tried reloading the EQ UI, searched the ini files for some window settings but to no avail. Is there a place where the UI can be reset to be on screen or even uninstall instructions so I can re-install.

/mqoverlay reload will reload all of your imgui window positions
you can also eq button -> mq -> overlay -> reset overlay

all imgui locations are stored in a file macroquest_overlay.ini - it isn't really something you should attempt to try and edit manually - the reason i'm mentioning it is so you know it isn't in eq, or even in mq2war settings file

in your eq button -> mq -> overlay i would recommend turning off viewports, so you don't have to worry about dragging your stuff off screen

Perfect. Thanks a ton! I figured it was something simple. Advice taken!

any chance there's a command to remove the rez sickness check for pulling/roaming?

i've been doing low level stuff with my war but he still dies because the geometry occasionally just insta-gib fall damages him for no reason. yet it's still my favorite spot to grind so far. just wondering if i could get him moving before the 3 min rez sickness has worn off, because the debuff is not noticeable in this spot

There is no way to disable the check. I would say an EQ bug falls outside of the realm of normal and reasonable as a reason to add a toggle for something.

yeah it's pretty rare.

i could also solve this by adding a levitation clicky... or get my bard to keep casting aainvis for the shauri's lev effect somehow
realized what was causing this... after having the issue follow me all over the game. it has nothing to do with cwtn plugins or the zone i was in. if anyone's interested:

i was using an inventory full of very heavy expanded bags. figured it was fine enough since my character had loads of heroic strength. my guy was running at around 90% of total encumbrance/strength.. for some reason or another the game had moments where 1000+ stone registered him as ultra-encumbered even though he was not, and some short drops turned into insta fall damage deaths

got rid of the heavy bags and it doesn't happen anymore

Lol thanks for the followup

How does the plugin manage pulling? I have a bow and summoned arrows but he keeps running up to the mobs and getting hit, which causes all sorts of problems. I definitely would rather pull with the bow.

resolved: minor issue: Incarnadine BP click during combat

recently messing around with a low level warr that happened to be wearing an incarnadine bp.

Realized when warr hit 50 that the clicky effect on the bp (gather shadows) is being cast repeatedly. I previously noticed the spam "insufficient level to use this effect" in eq chat and could have done something about it sooner, but I was focused on other things (also lazy). I resolved it by giving away the incarnadine bp and becoming a D&D beserker wannabe, tanking with no bp. Low levels are so easy!

I've only recently started experimenting with the plugins and I suspect the answer might be something like "get a different/better bp you fool!" :) but thought I'd throw it up here in case there were some mechanisms or methods to prevent this particular clicky in combat that I've missed in my ignorance.

Edit: Thanks to @Sic suggesting below. i looked a little harder and it seems these pros have thought of everything. Theres a nice little GUI button to 'deactivate' the click effect under the "AddClicky" tab

you can disable clickies that are automatically added, this one is a "special clicky" that is used during burns - but yeah just disable it

Just an FYI - Pulling mobs in The Outer Brood. Puller Tank mode will not target and pull mobs that are flying, even if they are not high above the ground. For instance, in Aureate Covert "a scalewrought skydefender", or "a scalewrought curator".

I have set the pull high/low to 100, 150, 200, 250 to get the tank to pull the flyers, no luck.

If you try

/war debugpull on once - this will do 1 cycle of all the mobs and tell you why it isn't pulling mob by mob. This will notify you if you have no nav path, or out of zradius, or regular radius, or on ignore, etc.

maybe that will explain why.

Some mobs like this are actually slightly under the ground, or are otherwise "off mesh".

You can do what ESF said to see the specific reason why something isn't pulled

I’m having a weird issue during hunter tank mode where the warrior nav’s to the mob, but the mob is non kos, he just stands there next to the mob. It doesn’t target it or attack it, it will stick to it and follow it if the mob roams around.

With pulling debugging on, I see it’s not stuck, it has los. If I target the mob the manually it still won’t attack it. If I move back or forward manually it will sometimes engage it. I can /nav target, and it navs fine just doesn’t engage it.

No mobs on ignore. Happens only with the same mob type, doesn’t happen with all non kos mobs.

Anything else I should look at to see why it won’t attack it in hunter mode? It’s pulling with melee, no arrows.

Thanks.
