MQ2War

Plugin - MQ2War (2 Viewers) 3.1.52471.11

Just /unload on all characters and hit the reinstall button for VV. It said mq2war was updated ( last update was yesterday), loaded back in all characters and issue still persists. /nav reload says mesh is loaded, echo says true.
Also tried making a war on my other accounts and even though it says mesh loaded in the mq2 window, the same message appears in mq2war

Really not sure how I can help. The CWTN Plugins access the MQ2Nav plugin API directly. If the API call says the mesh isn't loaded, then it thinks the mesh isn't loaded.

Yeah dunno there @oogey - never heard anyone have mq2nav say it was loaded and ready to go, but not actually be ready to go per the api call

any suggestions on how I can wipe all the files clean and start over? macroquest is a really full folderand i am afraid to delete the wrong ones. Could another mq2 program be causing it? I was able to see the mq2nav overlay from the toggle box. not sure if that means anything

if you have everything setup as you have said you have, then there really isn't anything to "start over" with. I'm really at a loss.

I have a few minutes available now - if you wanted me to remote in and see if i can figure it out - shoot me a PM

Are there any good instructions on how to use hunter mode effectively?
There's nothing to it. Set your radius like you normally would and war mode 8, instead of pulling back to a camp, you run to the mob and fight it there.

I generally drive with my bard, looking forward to a MQ2Bard in the future! With that said, which mode would work best to have the warrior follow (or come to) the bard, and tank anything in the camp radius that's on the extended target window? With Kiss running on the Warrior, I can just have him follow and if the bard pulled, or agro'd anything, once it's inside the camp radius he'll start doing his job. With MQ2WAR I need to switch his mode in and out of "Tank" for him to do stuff. This is mostly because all the tanking modes seem to create a camp.

Looking for any suggestions, or maybe a new mode where he'll tank whats in his radius, but not set a camp so he can move around freely.

Thanks a bunch, love the plugins!

there isn't a mobile tank version where you're not driving with the tank where it will auto-start fighting stuff. you should strongly consider driving with your tank.

if you set your bard to ma, and the tank is in an assist mode, it will assist that target to attack - and if it was main tank in the group window it would still do tanking type stuff, just based off the group's ma.

however you have a couple of options - if you used sic tank mode with a ginormous camp radius it would autotank anything entering that camp radius on xtarget

or you can utilize /war resetcamp

Is there any ignore settings? My warrior keeps attacking quest mobs in that mode. Also, can i make it just go after specific stuff?

from the Commands tab

/war Ignore - adds your target or typed name to the pullignores.ini file in your release folder - will skip this mob in the pull routine.
/war Unignore - removes your target or typed name from your pullignores.ini file in your release folder.
/war ShowIgnore - Outputs a list of NPC's being ignored. May show the previous zone if you haven't gone into puller mode in your current zone.

re: specific stuff we already spoke about that last time you asked - nope, it pulls mobs that are in your radius/zradius that match your pull settings.

Hey, I appreciate it, and when moving the group around on a manual roam, perhaps i'll stop trying to beat the system and just run the warrior. Bard is typically played just because of pulling, but when i'm doing anything special with mez/splits/etc, the group is happy at a camp with Tank/Assist modes set. So perhaps when i'm traveling around or killing on the move (when bard pulling skills aren't required) i'll just drive with that tank.

Thanks a bunch for the reply, as well as the suggestion to try /war resetcamp.

My warrior is only lvl 60 but he has all his discs and AA's for that level.

Currently he only uses the following skills: Knee strike, taunt, berate, bash, disarm, evasive discipline.

Is that the expected behavior? None of the other discs are worth using? I am new to warrior so I have no clue.

Fortitude and Furious will be with you for a long time...i still use them at 115

I know it goes in a little bit different direction...but i prefer to mobilize my team with mage CoH. Something to consider...run one, summon all

warriors don't have a whole lot of stuff at lvl 60

Need a little help, my war does not seem to use any tank disc on named. He seems to be using Mighty strike and brutal onslaught but nothing to keep him alive while tanking (115) is there an option that i have turned on that is causing him to use dmg disc instead of tanking ones?

if you are using brutal onslaught and mighty strike this means you are not in a tank mode and not assigned as a group main tank as those are during the "not tanking" mode.

he tuants and keeps aggro, he does everyting the tank should do, except the tank disc, hes useing dps disc

Can you show me your mq2war output where it shows it taunting and then using your timer4offensive/onslaught etc?

I'd like to kindly request (not knowing the level of work involved) a toggle option for our Composite Shield ability. While less important for some of the other classes, the warrior's ability to manually time the use of this ability is important. Especially with the increased AE damage found in the missions and raids in this expansion. I would also suggest it for the Cleric but I am mainly advocating for the warrior.

My opinion can be swayed but I believe that a lot of the ability is wasted when triggered immediately on a single mob. I feel it's more of an oh shit ability.

we have 0 plans of changing that for either mq2war or mq2cleric at this time.

What's the setting that makes Warrior look up/down/around at mobs that its tanking? Im gettnig tired of tanking Zlandicar while looking at the ceiling.

Is there a way to make the war only shoot one arrow per pull instead of turning on autofire?
no, he's going to shoot until mob comes on xtarget which is us knowing that the mob is aggro and is successfully being pulled

But he continues to shoot even after the mob is on xtar. The first arrow or 2 and the mob is on xtart, then he shoots 10 or so more depending on speed of mob. If it is a caster mob, he will shoot forever until it reaches camp radius, then engages.

Also, is there a way to make the toon not look "up" when they stick to a mob?

are you huntertanking or pullertanking?

if pullertank once mob is on xtarget it runs back to camp and waits for the mob to arrive

re: looking up - you can scroll wheel back on your mouse so you're not in 1st person

I'm huntertanking. Pullertank does only shoot until onxtar, hunter sees the mob and continually shoots until inside camp. I can just remove arrows I suppose.

I don't like scrolling back on view, i like first person most the time. It bugs me when I do a /nav to something also and the guy basically looks at the floor (not an mq2war thing)

I've seen this issue a couple times, see if it makes any sense. I stupidly (ok unknowingly) setup camp right on a spawn point of a non kos target (say a bunny rabbit in WW). Warrior is in puller mode. Bunny spawns. Everyone just sits and stares at each other. Warrior doesn't go pull anything. Just stares at the bunny, daring it to make the first move.

you can do a /war debugpull on once and it will tell you why its not pulling
