MQ2War

Plugin - MQ2War (5 Viewers) 3.1.52471.11

Does this plugin have the ability to hanlde the new restless ice mechanic, or does it have an ability to add multi line command to send to healing char to cure the dot?

Since it's a plugin, if you wanted to handle restless ice with a command when you get restless ice you could do so with a macro. This plugin just does warrior things and lets other classes do their job.

However, MQ2Cleric which is built using the same engine handles restless ice automatically, and it's currently in your VV installation for you to try while it's in development.

Thanks, didn't realize MQ2Cleric was available. I noticed the cleric is not buffing with aego line when the tank is rezed. I can't find any documentation on what the cleric commands are, is there an option for me to enable buffing of tank after death?

It's also seem to be stuck in an infinite loop trying to buff Divine guardian if the tank is buffed with a similar line from another healer such as a shaman. Sometime it'll be stuck trying to cast that spell throughout the battle and sometime it'll reset and start casting normals heals again when a new fight until it tries to buff the tank with Divine guardian again.

for hp buff you'll want to manually memorize it in slot 6 to get it to cast - then unmemorize it afterwards

the curates, divine guardian, aego spam - that's fixed in coming updates --- you will also want to ensure you /plugin mq2kissbuffs for any of your toons not using one of the cwtn class plugins (even worth using it on the toons using kiss, since it updates differently than the kiss macro does)

mq2cleric/mq2bst/mq2eskay are in unreleased form so they have a few hiccups currently

hmm just noticed my warrior doesnt use kick while dual wielding.

If I switch to Sword/Shield he uses bash.

Would be a cool thingie if we could get kick to work on demand because of the "Stunning Kick" aa.

it should it has a check if they can slam or if they can bash and bash is ready - then they bash otherwise if kick is ready to kick

I'll look into this today to ensure it is working

oh i think i might know why - are you a barb/troll//ogre? i'll check with chat - i think i see how he did this and it might need a change

Edit - we're gonna change it to if you can slam and you don't have the stunning kick aa OR icanbash and bash is ready (means you have a shield) --- otherwise you'll kick

Im a dorf :-)

And I swear it doesnt use kick while dual wielding 🤞
lol dorf - hrm

well i don't think you're wrong lol - i was just snipping it using the updated function (i didn't mean to imply that you were wrong)

I'm finding a pretty consistent problem where if you are in pull mode 5 and switch to mode 4 after running in pull mode for a few hours I crash on the Warrior. No error messages the EQ windows just goes away.

yeah this appears to be an mq2map crash issue, i've had this happen too

Decided to purchase MQ2War after using MQ2Berzerker. Installed the .dll in the main as I did with the Zerker. Now, multiple changes. MQ2Melee does not load with other characters. EQBCS is loading where previously it did not. MQ2Berzerker loads, MQ2War does not.

What should I do?

Hrm - CWTN plugins don't do anything with eqbc at all - so should be no change there --- mq2melee only gets unloaded on the character running one of the cwtn class plugins (it doesn't unload it for other characters).

You said you "installed the .dll in the main" --- with the new launcher you don't have to and shouldn't be needing to move the .dll around anywhere, the launcher does that for you

Check >> THIS << video - it sounds like where you think you are installing and where you are launching mq2 from are different folders.

I reinstalled VV. It shows the zerker plugin working, but not warrior and no mq2melee. I tested it out and sure enough, not working as it did previously.

Should I delete the entire directory and start over? Is there anything else to try?

when you open your redguides launcher and go to your Plugins Tab on the lefthand side --- do you see MQ2War in this list? --- if you do and it prompts you to Update or Install --- hit that button

Apologies for not being clear. I have both the BerZerker and War plugins. I got the message in the bottom left of the launcher screen that all plugins successfully loaded. To be certain, I hit update all. They successfully updated. I loaded a completely new warrior from another server, Cazic in this instance. It is a level 58 warrior. MQ2Melee no longer loads (MQ2 does) and MQ2War does not load. MQ2BerZerker does load, although MQ2Melee does not.

that's why I'm trying to track down why mq2war isn't loading first

as far as mq2melee goes - CWTNclass plugins automatically unload mq2melee

Great plugin, thank you. Is there a way to change the pull item/Ability/AA? For example, when I run out of arrows (dont have huntsman clicky) the only pull option seemed to be running up to the mob and then running back to camp.

In one sense, that is unfortunate. I liked that my melee characters would move to engage and then stay engaged against push once I hit auto attack. When I played my monk, and I do not have the MQ2Monk plugin, the Monk would move into position once I hit the auto attack button if it was close enough, and then move behind the mob which was engaged with the Warrior tank. Now that I have MQ2War, none of my melee characters will do that.

Is there a way to delete the MQ2War so that I go back to MQ2Melee? It was working I think when I had the MQ2BerZerker installed. However, it is likely that I am mistaken about that as I think about it more.

It may be that the ability to use MQ2War will outweigh the loss of MQ2Melee, but nothing that I have tried will permit it to load.

Is there an easy way to uninstall the plugin and reinstall it? I've tried update all and the reinstall button from the launcher, but the MQ2War will not install while the MQ2Berzerker does install.

Thank you.

Update: Last night I used a suggestion to unload the warrior plugin and reload it nonauto. That apparently cured the issue with other melee characters not having mq2melee (they do now) and it also solved the issue of mq2warrior not loading at start. It does now. So cleric now auto attacks, MQ2Warrior now working and MQ2Melee now working again.

the /maploc remove is the one that causes the crash. It doesn't happen every time. I've not had a chance to look into the crash.

After 3 days of using this, there is an issue that Warrior will not turn attack on for certain named. Have tested two machines, and two zones. Still happening. Often causes wipes because warrior pulls named to camp, and just stares at it while it wipes us. Any ideas? Thank you

Not using kissassist. "/war ignore" is empty. Default V.V., with MQ2war.

need screensnip of /war showsettings

can provide a screensnip by pressing Shift + Windows Key + S
Then paste it into the box here.

Make sure to expand the MQ2 Window as much as you can so that you capture all the settings

That is a very very small camp radius. I might do 15 or 20 in a dungeon in a tight corner, but 10 is probably too low

Hi Sic, I've tested with 50 & 60 camp radius (essentially the entire floor ground of the room im in), no go.

Have also tried:
.. BurnAllnamed = off and on
.. BurnAlways = off and on
.. AutoAssistAt = 98 and 100

Trying a bigger Zradius at the moment. Haven't got named to pop in a few hours though.

Have also tried with assist on at 98.

=(
the only time i've experienced this is if my character ended up going off mesh due to a knockback --- can you do a /nav ui and click render mesh and see if you are off mesh if/when it happens? (spitballin here)

Also - what zone / named?

"the arisen admiral tylix" on the mesh. Warrior Didnt attack entire fight. The zerkers (love mq2berzerker!) killed the named after this ScreenShot.

.. changed zradius from 100 to 300, 500, 3000 during the fight, and the WAR didnt turn attack on.

yeah definitely on mesh lol --- is this screenshot with the war campradius still at 10? because he's at 13 fighting here - I wonder if its a 3d distance thing since the mob is floating
I'll get with chat about it - he'll probably know

Just for clarity sake - the war radius and zradius are the pull radius (blue circle), the /war campradius distance is the red circle that you will watch for mobs entering etc

>> Here << I explain the modes and the use of the campradius and such (I'm not saying you don't already know these things, just the zradius wouldn't have anything to do with reacting to the mob, so just wanted to clarify)

.. camp radius is at 15, ya.
.. i've tried camp radius 50 and 60 at this same spot, which covers a lot of the floor you are seeing (and still wont attack that named)
.. i've recreated this "non attacking" error with a different named "Vermistipus" which also happens to be a floating NPC... but there are also non-named floating mobs that she attacks just fine :bang:
.. i was trying zradius because im a newb and thought it might help attack a floating mob!
.. FYI beeponnamed wont fire for the named until I manually turn attack on. (if this helps debug)

My war is spamming "is waiting for target or valid agro" when there's no more mobs in range and he's sitting and standing constantly looking like he's trying to break dance. Is there a setting where I can fix this?

Also is there a list where I can add ignore target to pull?

@Mikey02 use the /war ignore command while targeting the mob you want to ignore.

I'm not able to reproduce this sit/stand issue on my warrior.

@scoops420 I'll take another look at floating mobs. I've personally not had an issue with them at this time.

As of currently I'm unable to reproduce the behavior mentioned. That isn't to say it isn't an issue, only that I cannot recreate it on my end. I will probably try a zone like Howling stones to see if I can recreate the issue.

So best I can tell the only place you would fail to get a target on a spawn is here in validtarget function where I attempt to verify the mob is a valid target by getting their spawntype.

C++:
bool ValidTarget(DWORD dID) {
    if (PSPAWNINFO pSpawn = (PSPAWNINFO)GetSpawnByID(dID)) {
        if (GetSpawnType(pSpawn) == NPC || GetSpawnType(pSpawn) == NPCPET || GetSpawnType(pSpawn) == OBJECT || GetSpawnType(pSpawn) == PET) {
            return true;
        }
        if (bDebugging) WriteOut("\ap%s -> Failing ValidTarget check, body type is: %i", pSpawn->Name, (int)GetSpawnType(pSpawn));
    }
    return false;
}

I've needed to take a better look at this anyway due to some of the newer plugins that are in development that get stuck trying to attack player pets. But some NPC pet's come back as a pet, some come back as NPC pet, so it's hard to differentiate. I'll need to get the master spawn type if they are a pet type.

In this case I'm not seeing anything specific that should prevent floating NPC's from being an issue, but I'll run some debug code through the checkfortank routine to see if I can find where it's failing.

Thank you. The sit/stand issue seems fairly localized to the herbalist camp I was at in Ry'gorr mine. Doesn't' seem to be doing it anywhere else.

Loving this plugging, the responsiveness and the pulling ability is second to none. Just need this for bard next!

Is there a way to get the warrior to switch targets and have agro on everything? Right now if the aoes are down war watches everyone die.

Also anyway to get the war to bring a mob in the outer radius back close to the camp point instead of tanking it way out near the edge?
