Feature request: It would be great if shaman automatically shrinks pet, just like Eskay does.
we do with group shrink AA (and if we don't have the AA, we use the group shrink spell, or the single shrink spell.

you can also add a personal pet shrink item to any of our downtime clickies
 
There is an eq glitch that sometimes when you group shrink pets like shaman and beast actually grow. I've had to use the earring on my beast to correct it before. It's not MQ it's more eq stupidity.

this is why we only shrink to try and get something to below 2.04 height
some things shrink differently too. tiny companion might take something to .96, where group shrink doesn't

rawdog at 1.44 - we're not gonna shrink
rawdog -> scorpion illusion goes to 3.12, we shrink it ones to 1.56 (max shrink size for that illusion)
rawdog -> brownie is 1.04
brownie'd dogdog -> group shrink turns it to 1.56 (LARGER)

so we don't end up fighting stuff, we only shrink to get something below 2.04 height

there are a TON of #gotchas with shrinking and illusion and various forms of monsters
 
Okay. So I am clearly not smart enough to get this running as I keep getting this error message.

I installed the .dll file into the MacroQuest > Release folder but when trying to run it in game, I recieve the above error message. I am assuming I am just putting it in the wrong folder.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im also hoping that I put this in the right place. Im really not trying to get another warning lol.
Delete the dll you copied manually. Use the launcher to install and it will put it in the right place. It'll show up on the launcher if you have a valid license.

If you have already checked the RG Launcher Plugin Tab then read the following:
- The RG Launcher is unable to *delete* old files.
-- This means you will get an error box if you don't have a current plugin that matches the mq build
-- your options are:
--- a: purchase a license
--- b: delete the old .dll in your plugin folder, and/or
--- c: change your macroquest.ini to MQ2PluginName=0 under [Plugins]


Always use the launcher to patch.
 
I ended up repairing the installation of the Launcher itself. Then redownloaded/installed the plugins and it worked right away. I guess by manually adding the file to the folder it borked it up somehow. I dont know. It seems to be working now and I couldnt be happier with the performance.

120 Shaman, Live Server - question regarding curing logic? I looked at the FAQ and tried searching and came up blank, so I apologize profusely if this is answered somewhere. For curing, is this plugin using MQ2CWTNBuffs or some other method? I've had a non-boxed person in groups, and I have to manually cure them. I'm pretty sure I know how to deal with that with a react or some lem code, but I just want to make sure its working as intended and can only detect toons running on the local PC. Thanks!

as with all buffing and otherwise, for us to "know" someone needs a cure, we need to see they have a detrimental with counters. so they need to be a local toon with CWTN buffs loaded.

meaning, we don't know about non-local toon's buffs or detrimentals.

you could use mq2buffme and have them ask for a cure

Excellent, thanks Sic. I was pretty certain that's how it worked, but didn't want to go into some workaround if I had something else causing a problem. Appreciate the quick feedback!
 
Is there anyway to get the plugin to use lingering sloth?
what we call the ennui line? yes

we cast it on our MA (or if in raidmode also our raidma)

that's not really a thing tho, everything is continuously checked. more than likely you didn't have the character you wanted getting the buff set as group MA, or potentially that character wasn't running mq2cwtnbuffs
 
I don't think my shaman is using soothsayers intervention AA at all, even when it would be beneficial

Lvl 85 on mischief
nothing is different across the levels for using soothsayer's intervention.

We check our group to see if anyone is sub-30 health.

What rank of the AA do you have? and do you have the spell that your AA would cast memorized?
 
The spell I have is Antecedent's Intervention Rk. II (lvl 83) and i have 2/16 in the AA which is the max until HoT

I can't specifically say I've seen him not cast it while someone was under 30% but I don't have a single instance of him using the AA in my log and have had plenty of wipes and/or deaths in that time

"AltentiveSpirit" is not what the command it.

you don't need to go through every command and command line - we're currently in the process of redoing our UI and going through all our commands/etc

Once again im sorry, i was just working on a project to change my settings for different scenarios. Un aware that you and CWTN is revamping the UI. All i was doing is reporting them. not arguing just thought i report them as i see them.

I just don't want you wasting your time thinking you need to go through every command for us =p

and sometimes they're not in the command tab on purpose

thanks for the pm tho, we can continue there - it will lower the "whack-a-mole" responding in so many different places
 
How do you set it so that the shaman will buff my mercs as well?
We can't buff mercs, because we don't know what buffs the mercs already have or don't have, or any buff information at all about the mercs. You can click off group buffs and it will buff them as a byproduct of rebuffing yourself. Bit like having a pet except we can actually see the pets buffs.

Fair enough thanks :) yea wont be an issue with group buffs later on. I'm just leveling a little group of now in the 30's no group stuff yet just single target, so i was curious. All good! Thanks :)

Long time EQ player.. and just got redguides and this shaman pack tonight. Def makes boxing way better. I have to learn a nice bit on how to set everything up but that'll come in time with reading and asking questions.
 
The CTWN plugins seem to like my spell sets LoL. I can't wait to see what it does with my DPS Shaman set. Or well basic as I call it in my saved spells.

I have 1 basic set that is pretty much awesome on every toon.

nope you can't, and we don't plan on having a way to import or whatever.

since eq allows you to save sets you can turn on byos -> eq command to load your spell set -> byos custom set

Is there a command to save your settings? Every time i reload the game i'm having to adjust " Pull Radius" or things like uncheck " summon food/water" "use Malo" " use maloaoe" etc. It would be nice if the setting would stick vs having to adjust them.. I'm sure there's a simple way. I did read the commands page but didn't see anything. Thanks!

Thank you! haha i just went to the FAQ's and seen it was the very first thing there and felt dumb for asking went to edit it but you're on the ball and replied right away! Thanks for that! Super cool program so far. using it on a shaman.. and a mage.

Ideally i think i'll end up running SK, Ranger, Bard, Shaman. Mage is on the same account as the Ranger so likely wont use that as much but we'll see.

but awesome work making this and maintaining it man. cheers.

Thanks Sic, I've just started using BYOS and I added the above to my toon's cfg so that it sets it all up when I login.

I also agree with Robren911, the plugins are awesome & BYOS really allows some painless tweaking.

Evening all,

So found out my Shammy Cleric and Chanter who all have CWTN Plugin, are no longer doing GH Buffbot group buffs.

I can request individual spells... and they will be cast.. but the group buff commands no longer work.
IE /tell shaman buffme groupall
/tell enchanter buffme grouphaste (or) groupmanaregen
/tell cleric buffme groupallaego

I also saw that now out of guild cant ask.. so turned that on. But still not sure whats going on and after a search didnt find any existing threads here.

Thanks for the hard work.. and thanks in advance for the new expac fun to come.
