`Thanks.....I will look into that. Bit fearful of a big transition like that , but it appears I need to get on it.

I was the same, but when I actually updated it took longer to watch Sic's video on how to do it than it took to actually update and everything worked great immediately.

Agree with this. @Knightly's Migration Tool made it super easy. My biggest (and really only) gotcha was realizing I still had my old ini's open in notepad++ and not the new ones in the Next directory when tried to edit them.

So far the mq2shaman plugin is excellent! I have to wonder if there is a way to solve the issue of it always resetting to default when I log out and back in. For example, I often do not want group shrink or cheetah on, so I uncheck those boxes. However, each time I log back in, it has reset to default. This is a similar situation for setting the percent to use spells. Is there a way for it to remember the most recent changes between logging out and back in? Is is as simple as modifying the .ini file for each character or some master shaman .ini? Thank you for the replies.

When I try to change the mode/stance from Manual to anything else (Assist for example), it give some error about not having nav working and suggests two commands to run. The first runs fine, but the second will not. I don't think I have the nav files in the right place or setup properly. I let it do a full nav file compilation (took about 3 minutes to do over 500 zones). It's probably something simple that I've overlooked, but this error also pops up when trying to use follow me or come to me commands.

You using MQNext or legacy?
Next theres a walkthrough Sic did about it. you need to DL the mq2nav updater
and move it to the MqNext/resource folder then hotkey it to desktop and run it

as for saving.
/shm groupshrink off
always use the /shm command to save, otherwise its only a session based change.

Sic has a great page about hotkeys as well

All the .navmesh files are currently in C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local\VeryVanilla\Test\Release\MQ2Nav
I'm unsure if I have Next or Legacy; I just installed it 1 Jan 2022.

that sounds like old legacy mq2 - which the launcher can update the meshes for you

make sure to check the > RedGuides New User Videos <

Which is also mentioned in the FAQ. The FAQ is always a good place to check for questions

Q. Trying to go mode 1 but says I need a mesh?
A. The plugins require mq2nav for movement. You will need to run the mesh updater in your RedGuide's Launcher. Please watch the video > HERE <

Is there anyway to make this work from the character running plugin being outside of the main group to assist the main groups Assist/tank without being in a raid in raid mode?

Depends on what you're expecting the shaman to do.
You can use XTargetHealing and XTargetBuffing and add the characters you'd like to heal/buff to your XTarget.

Buffing requires the character you're helping is run on the same PC as the shaman.

I think this started yesterday...or I just noticed it yesterday. I got my 1.5 epic on my shaman. He uses that just fine. But since I got it, he's been using the Time's Antithesis from PoT. Which would be fantastic, except he's constantly casting it on my toons that I put on his Xtarget list for heals/buffs. (Same pc). He also occassionally uses it on the mobs

As far as I knew, there was nothing set to use the slow stick. Has anything changed?

show me your addclickies, because we don't use that item normally, to use it on a player you would have to add it to an addclick that was super weird.

/shm showclickies

Ok. I gotta figure out how to list them. But this is a new problem. Just started :) If I ever added it to the addclicky's it was a couple months ago
i literally said how in my response

/shm showclickies

we certainly didn't add anything to be auto used, and we haven't changed any of our addclicky stuffs either outside of not requiring autoattack to be on for offensive clicky --- so maybe this? which is why we had the autoattack requirement in the first place - but we can just check the target type instead if this is the issue

that's why i want to see where it is added, It might be swapping to heal, then offensive clicky going off

Ok, it's under Offensive. Yeah, you sure did. I completely skipped over that. I'll watch the shaman a little bit more and see. I posted after watching him spam it on my monk 5x

*edit* This is the first time since I got the plugin, which was probably in Nov, that he's actually using the Time's Antithesis period. He's never used it as an offensive clicky. Also, I noticed looking back he was spamming it while also memming counteract poison to cure Tash.
Not the end of the world if I can't figure it out. Can always remove the clicky

offensive, ok, cool. that makes sense with the adjustment that was made

@str8monkey yeah it was our removal of the attack on requirement, i can replicate the issue.

we'll just add some additional checks for next build and it'll fix it up

Thanks for bringing it up!

i have a question , ive noticed my new shaman is not curing the TOV random dot ? and i have cureall on and memcureall on ?
We cure curable debuffs with counters. Yup.

Make sure the person you expect to get a cure is a local toon on cwtnbuffs

and to confirm - just took some dudes out to tov to get restless ice, to confirm, and we do, still, cure restless ice

im sorry sic my new made shaman has not cured it today , its all on 1 pc and 1 eqbc client... maybe im over looking it maybe the dot killed him before he cured it? ill make sure 100 % before i ask again. thank you sic

We don't broadcast with eqbc, we use cwtnbuffs just like we do for buffing, but yup went and confirmed several times this afternoon, cures it with aas and with the cure spell with memcureall turned on

could framerate affect his casting ? im running 6 with 83FPS
no, plus you should setup framelimiter if you haven't and then it is a non-issue.

unless you're somehow saying that your toons are locking up in the background due to some computer issue - in which case, anything could happen

Hello, I moved over to mq2next and now when I try and load mq2shaman it says it cant be loaded? I did run the migration tool.
you don't manually download anything.

you use the launcher to update your files which appears you figured out after posting this, because you were trying to manually download the legacy mq2 shaman instead of letting the launcher download and place the correct file.

looks like you're all sorted now

Shaman does infinite "cannidance" when setting mode assist.
1642012922469.png
Since serveral days I can't leave "assist" mode on.
PluginsActive.png
No dubious plugin running nor any mac as far as I know.
Even no aggro on extended target window, the shaman attempts to use clickies like twice per second.
It could be a clicke set for dps orelse the feather for manareg or any other.

it is likely due server lag where the item is taking too long to show that you're casting a spell, and thus we sit you down because you have exceeded our timer to stay "i'm standing but i'm not doing anything, sit me back down". I'd recommend trying a mode other than assist - maybe chase/vorpal that only sits you down when your MA sits.

otherwise, you might want to take things out of downtime until your server isn't so laggy

we might have to adjust our delay to do so if the servers are going to have this kind of lag issue :( we'll look into it

cure seems to be working now when i turned on framelimiter , which i gotta say i love , ! only thing that happened since then , shaman seems to be a tad slower on healing , does this mean i have background to low ? or something ? my warrior is max aa 500k hp buffed 10500 / 3900 buffed... ? he should be plenty fine to tank with a shaman pulling ?

frame limiter should have 0 negative impact on anything, but yes, you absolutely want frame limiter running.

i go over it in the various next videos > here < and > here <

I run shaman as my main healer for my main group and have 0 issues with healing when heals are supposed to fire

suggested settings:

understood , I have a question or a request ? how about courterbias on and off clicker ? cause that HOT from that slow stacks with the other hots ? that could be additional heals ?

there isn't really a use for that in the current game. once we get our third reckless, we no longer memorize it.

you can always byos if you want to use some custom spell loadout, an option to load counterbias, sorry, but no

Is there a way to disable the Spirit of the Leopard line of buffs? My crew is level 65 and casting this on everyone every 60 seconds makes for a slow night.

I'm pretty sure the answer is use BYOS but I want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Ty for the fast reply. Chase is suboptimal in m y setting, as the ma is the puller.
Will check to understand if vorpal would do for me.
I understand, that you are going to change something, in order to fix it.
My workaround actually is to switch the shaman off/on between fights.
Can do that for some more days, feel already better, as I understand you have a clue about the reason and there's going to be an solution.

I dont know if it's of any importance, but the clickies the shamy attemts to cast are out of the section "Offensive Clieckies" when cannidance starts. That happens always in moments, when there is nothing aggroed.
A view minutes ago I did "shei Vintras". While inside the ini, all worked as expected, no "cannidance".
After the fight I went into the guildlobby. Nothing on aggro, but "cannidance" started ... this time in mode "manual" while I was trying to get a screenshot to show that the clickies are from the section "offensive Clickies"

then yes, offensive clicky issue is something else entirely that is already patched for next update
