Plugin - MQ2Shaman (6 Viewers) 3.1.52471.11

So if i want him to break invis in Chase mode (which is what i keep all my toons in at all times) he needs to have melee on? Is there any way for me to change that? The reason i ask is because two months ago before i took a break, my shaman would break invis when i would engage while he was in chase mode and it worked perfect

there is no way to change that, no.

the behavior has always been the same, since pre-prerelease - same with mq2cleric.

if you want to break invis in chase mode, turn on usemelee, or use a hotkey to drop your invis.

it is 100% intended this way, and will remain so
 
If you're using MQ2EQBC you can /bcga //makemevisible to broadcast the command to all group members so that all characters will break invis at the same time.
 
hey a question if it can be added but on use responsive spirit can you add use atttentive and responsive they stack and in case of some ae events its nice

it will be defaulted off but as expected "/shm useattentivespirit on" - i suspect some folks might need/want the buff slots so not going to default to on

Usually I use this on hard shit where I'm not nuking(minus gift) and there isn't a cleric in the group. Situational but the heal is nice topper on hard stuff.

yes, anything that everquest says is in the available spell list for your level - tlp or otherwise - it is going to list. Everquest doesn't "lock" spell information behind expansions.

you should work harder and become a big stronk shaman and defeat the enemies and find new lands, and maybe you too can find the super sweet spells that are only spoken of in whispers and shadows!
Just a quick question regarding the "Vorpal Mode" in the CWTN Plugins. If I am running a sedentary / stationary group with a Puller Tank ...which is better and why?? Vorpal or Assist? The reason I ask is because where I am killing in Eastern Waste there are columns of ice everywhere and sometimes I find my tank on the wrong side of things and the group trying to go through the wall. Would Vorpal make a difference over Assist or will I just run into the same problem do to zone layout? Hope that makes sense because I have not been making my sense lately since my doctors have been playing with my medications!

Mode 1 - Assist --- assist your MA and returns to camp
Mode 3 - Vorpal Mode (Assist but no camp or chase)

this would have no effect on your team trying to go through a wall - that is something you would want to adjust with your mesh, or fight in a different area

assist just sets a camp, and returns to it (sitting down)
vorpal doesn't set a camp, nor sit, and assists the ma

i suggest assist mode, so your toons dont wander and they med properly between fights
 
Thanks for the feedback! One more question, I use my SK on Mode: tank puller and the burnnamed is checked. He is not using his Epic Clicky nor Visage on a burn. Suggestions?
visage and epic are part of the tier'd burn - it doesn't click it willy nilly
please don't ask mq2eskay questions in the shaman thread.
 
Found a bug on Rizlona with Blood of Nadox(LoY group poison/disease cure), it's thinking that any curse counter spell can be cured by it and ends up just spamming it without actually curing anything.

Thanks, I was so confused when I saw the spell gfx going off for it every 6ish seconds, I couldn't figure out which idiot in my raid was mgbing celestial healing on trash, til I looked over and saw it spamming.
 
Something else I noticed Sic, and it dawned on me this must have been happening during all of Luclin on Rizlona, is there an los check for casting Avatar in the plugin? It seems when my shaman can't see either of my melee, it just stops casting the spell, even during combat.

yes, we check los in our cast check for all spells in all of the plugins
 
Fair enough. I don't mind casting it manually, just wasn't sure if it was a bug since you can cast through the walls anyway.
 
Having a problem with this. Shaman won't stop trying to cast focus on a cleric with self buff. Over and over. Cleric is running mq2Cleric and wont let me click off the self buff. Is there no way to turn off the cleric self buff or make the shaman stop chain casting Focus on the cleric?

Decide which buff you want to keep, block the one you don't using everquest's buff blocking. The plugin will see the buff is blocked and not try and cast it again for that character.

you will want to block whichever of them you don't want as CWTN said.

this is applicable to the FAQ item below - there are some spells that say stack and they either dont or they just overwrite each other.

Q. Shaman is chain casting something?
A. There are a few lower lvl / mid level buffs that eq/mq2 reports stack that do not. You either have this situation, or some other issues. I would suggest checking for the red error text that eq gives you to tell you WHY it didn't successfully take hold and then go from there. You can block anything you don't want cast. This is a built in everquest feature - right click on the buff and "add this spell to list of blocked spells" or go through the eq menu -> character -> blocked buffs

This worked great, thanks! I'm new to the forum and RG....I just downloaded this recently and loaded CWTN Shaman to box with my necro.....gotta say, loving it so far!! Should've done this a long time ago! I drive with a necro which is my main and cwtn shaman works fantastic. Guess no way to make pet MA for shaman growth, etc? I'm thinking of adding a 3rd toon now, a SK (would have to get mq2eskay). Never thought I'd consider playing 3 characters at once before! You think driving with my necro if I add a SK would work ok? Thanks guys!

i drove with a necro for years - but once i got into trying to do missions and such - 100% driving with tank
 
Just started with this plugin.
1. How do I get my shammy to assist in Hybrid mode, but stay put. He keeps running up to the mobs. I have melee off and stick off.
2. Another toon in the group keeps casting invis. If invis is up, shammy does nothing unless I click it off. What's the best way around this?

Have you reviewed all the information about usage and such for the plugins?

1. you will want to ensure you have a group main assist set in your group window, and your campradius is the size you want it to be. once mobs are inside that campradius, and are being targetted by your group main assist, you will start doing stuff to them
2. you will break invis to do things if you have a camp set - assist mode has a camp, so you will break invis to do things - this includes buffs, heals, dmg/dots/assisting.

it sounds like you might not actually be in assist mode. Check that link i posted.

if you are not in a mode with a camp, you will want to have an "visible" social - using eqbc would be /bcga //makemevisible - you can see this in the how i move my toons video that i have in that "getting started with cwtn plugins" link i shared.

Thanks. I think the issue was I was using Vorpal, instead of Assist, thinking not using a camp would prevent him from running to mobs.
Been using Eskay for a couple months now, but sometimes the exact behavior of the different modes still confuses me.

Turn off usemelee if u don't want to melee.

Yeah, I had melee and stick both off. But in Vorpal mode, shammy still kept running up to mobs. But I think the reason is that in Vorpal mode, no camp is made, right?
 
no camp is made in vorpal. but it's like a "chase assist" except it doesn't chase in that respect. It will still use nav with usestick off.

If the MA engaged a mob, and the mob is within melee range of the tank, the "vorpal" toon will assist.

Assist mode (Mode 1) will wait for you to bring it back to camp.

yes, vorpal still moves to the mob to melee if you have usemelee on. it is still an assist mode, but doesn't set a camp (so you don't return anywhere or sit down).

it is not going to move anywhere with usemelee off and you're not going to stick with usestick off. but you only need to turn off usemelee and you won't melee to begin with.

if i turn on usemelee - instantly starts heading to the mob to melee, as expected.


I often have lesser geared healers in chasemode with usemelee off, sometimes with a slightly higher chase distance - so they still stay near the tank, but don't run to the mob.

Strange then. In Vorpal, with melee off, he would still run up the mob. He wouldn't melee, but he would stand right next to it casting.
Edit: Oh, he was probably just running up close to the MA, not the mob.

Anyway, Is there a table, or spreadsheet, that shows what each mode does and doesn't do? This would be a nice addition to the general text descriptions you already have of each mode. =)
