MQ2Shaman

Plugin - MQ2Shaman (6 Viewers) 3.1.52471.11

beginning to think might have another issue that could be causing... have mage in group and they fighing for pet buff superiority tween mage aura "Earthen Strength" and the Shaman buff "Spirit of Might"
yes mage aura will overwrite your unity buffs - and you will get in a pissing match with the mage aura.

you will need to decide which one you want and either: turn off usefocus, stop using mage aura, or some combination of those buffs added to your blocked buffs. if you're missing something and mq2 says you can have it, we're going to cast it on you.

Trying to block it on Mage pet as less mana for shammy to have to spend, then i can ome back to the Avatar issue. as I not seeing it be cast, 6.5min buff and it not showing as getting cast...

well. did you go through the list to ensure you don't have some other buff that would make it not stack as i mentioned?

if we have mobs on x-target, you use useavatar turned on, and avatar is memorized, you will check if you have an MA, if your MA can have the buff (needs to be a local toon on mq2cwtn buffs like all other buffs we cast on others), and then casts it on the MA. if you do not have an MA and/or your MA has the buff or can not receive the buff, it will then check your any melee toons in your group and cast it upon them.

All good got Spirit of Might blocked on pet, and Tank got Ferine Avatar cast on her now... so it was all about who was getting top

I think the battle for dominance was keeping the pet on xtarget so wasn't buffing the Avatar... and was doing other subroutines due to getting into battle and not getting the avatar routine due to other healing and the buff

Like said it now all working with just blocking it on mage pet

still working with @boeufmaster the debug says mq2 thinks they're in combat.

waiting to hear if its a bad custom UI, or the mq2/eqbug where it thinks mobs are on xtarget where there isn't any

Just wondering if there is a way to make the shaman hold off on epic until all toons are in camp (actually just the puller)? At the moment the shaman is just popping it as soon as it's up, which is fine, but .... playing a shaman as my main this is really irking me :)

There's a couple of consequences to the early clicks:

1. The obvious one, the puller misses it a lot
2. Less obvious, for longer pulls half your epic click might be gone before the mob is in the camp and the group engaged.

Cheers again.

Try changing your "assist at" value so that it won't do things until the mob has taken a bit of damage.

you have 3 options for your epic.

Always - it will pop when you have mobs on xtarget
Never - never
Burn - when in burn conditions.

so if you want it to do outside of those 3 times - you can put it on never, and then manually do it when you want to. that is literally why the option exists.

sounds like you're wasting a ton of time with pulling to a camp - you should consider taking the fight to the mob and halving your total non-fight time ;) the cwtn plugins have huntertank mode.

Soon ... sooon. For now, the team is a bit shit since I've just come back from a long break. Once they're up to scratch, sure, efficiency will get a lot more attention. For now, nice and steady wins the exp gainz =)

Ok, so, maybe it can be a feature request for the future? As in, a 'OnlyWhenEngaged' flag for certain clicks and spells /shrug ? No rush, it was just irking me as something I would *never* do when playing the sham for real.

Another totally random question: When mq2shaman loads up it does its checks etc, and I notice next to a couple of spells (Pure Spirit and Balance of Discord) it's got the text 'Nice!' ... haha, so, cool I guess ... is there any more 'Nice!' flags for the Shaman? And I don't get any on the warrior, are there any for that?

Cheers!

no, the 3 options that i added will be the 3 options that exist. I will not be adding another "only when engaged" option. for several reasons.

Since you want it to play like you do "for real" feel free to use the never option and then click it when you would like for it to be clicked.

for all the cwtn plugins anything that is lvl 69 says nice - its an internet meme.

Sounds like they need to make a react at an HP percentage with an or mob range less than 75. Epic range is 100.

not everyone melees with their shm, not even has usedots and usenukes on - and some folks are in positions that they might end up in a spot where they can't waste the time clicking in combat at the start of the fight with the "ramp up" time of shaman.

this isn't a bman_the_main_Shaman replacement. it is mq2shaman.

so if you're seriously pulling from so far away this is a problem, I'd suggest taking your fight to the mob - your kill count will go up significantly

Is it possible for me to tell my Mq2Shaman when he is in Assist mod to cast AA specially the AoE root. When I say tell I mean press a macro from my SK that I use to run my whole group? Please feel free to give me another idea if this not possible.

Thank You Guy,

Q. Root Punt / Paralysis AA?
A. We won't be doing any punting of mobs. It can quickly turn into a bad time if you're punting mobs around.

nah, mq2shaman won't be using any punting or rooting of mobs.

but you can always pause your shaman and have it do something you want it to do

Thank You Guy,
can set the "if shaman" "target" "do ability xxxxx" but its not a set feature in any of the tools afaik..

well you could do something like

/bct shamantoon //alt act 171 and it would make your shaman cast its virulent paralysis then and there

if you wanted to get fancier you would have to tell it what target you want it to cast on, and then have it face a direction you want the mobs punted, and then tell it to use its aa

but that is outside of mq2shaman since we won't be doing any punting

Can you help me with a macro that can pause him, he can cast the AoE root and then to get him back too Assist because he is my heals. Thanks Sic, like always u have all the answers. I love the plugin he is awesome healer.

since I don't know otherwise, I'm going to assume that you're going to target the mob with your tank that you want the shaman to punt

/bct shamanname //multiline ; /shm pause on; /stopcast; /timed 5 /target id ${Target.ID}; /timed 10 /alt act 171; /timed 25 /shm pause off

this above says "send my shaman a msg on eqbc to turn pause on, stop cast if he's currently casting a spell, .5 seconds later target id the mob i'm currently targeting, then .5 after that (total of 1second since start) use my virulent paralysis, then 1.5 after that (total of 2.5 seconds later) unpause.

you might have to tweak around those timed numbers, but i tested it a few times and it worked fine.

a multiline's /timed isn't cumulative - so to make them do an "order" you stagger them increasing the amount of the timed by how much you want it staggered by

/multiline ; /timed 5 /this is .5 seconds since we started; /timed 10 /this is 1 second since we started; /timed 20 /this is 2 seconds since we started; /timed 60 /this is6 seconds since we started

/bct shamanname //multiline ; /shm pause on; /stopcast; /timed 5 /target id ${Target.ID}; /timed 10 /alt act 171; /timed 25 /shm pause off
thanks

Disclaimer: I'm relatively new to most of these plugins, and a lot of the assistance in previous posts assume a level of knowledge of how these plugins interact which I apparently do not have yet.

My shaman running MQ2Shaman is nonstop casting Inner Fire because it won't stick due to the MQ2Cleric's Center. This is just one example, but I've run into this a few times. Is there a simple way to tell the Shaman not to cast Inner Fire unless I direct him to? This is on emu if that's relevant. I would assume there's a exclude command or blacklist I can alter?

you would add it to your blocked spell list on toons you don't want it.

Q. Shaman is chain casting something?
A. There are a few lower lvl / mid level buffs that eq/mq2 reports stack that do not. You either have this situation, or some other issues. I would suggest checking for the red error text that eq gives you to tell you WHY it didn't successfully take hold and then go from there. You can block anything you don't want cast. This is a built in everquest feature - right click on the buff and "add this spell to list of blocked spells" or go through the eq menu -> character -> blocked buffs

(i'll merge this into mq2shaman thread)

INI:
GHBuffBot - Turns on the "Guild Hall Buff Bot"
GHBuffSilent - if On will not ever output a reply with the buffme information
GHBuffGuildOnly - if On will require the person requesting buffs is ALSO a member of your guild. We already require them to be in the same zone as you, and within 50 range of you, but this adds an additional layer of protection/security.
BuffRequestPhrase=buffme - this can be changed to any single word - /shm buffrequestphrase gimmedagoods then you would /tell shaman gimmedagoods GroupFocus

Usage:
/tell shaman buffme
- shaman will reply with available buff types and information on how to request buffs

- You can request a spell by mq2shaman spell group
-- Options are: STFocus, GroupFocus, Sow, Regen, GroupRegen, Haste, GroupHaste, STAgi, GSta, GStr, GAgi, STAc
--- Example: /tell shaman buffme GroupFocus
---- Shaman will add Group Focus and then buff them with those spells.

- You can request GroupAll
--- Example: /tell shaman buffme GroupAll
---- Shaman will add Group Focus, Group Regen, and SoW for the requester, and then buff them with those spells.

- You can also request a spell by name.
-- Example: /tell shaman buffme feet like cat
--- Shaman will verify that they have a spell "feet like cat", that it is a viable spell to cast on another, and then load it and cast upon the requester.

Redbot updated MQ2Shaman with a new update entry:

I dunno about you, but I sit at my computer when I'm playing.

Are you planning on posting this on every resource or just this one?
Neither do I. I didn't mean any offense! I personally like buffbots, I was just commenting that I hope no one does AFK with it causing attention to be drawn to it that people start petitioning, then DBG starts more ban waves. I wish this feature was implemented into default EQ, personally.

Well a few things we did to try and mitigate some points of detections. I pushed for a custom keyword to trigger it. Then Sic has it only work in the GH's, has the guild member only. I mean, my shaman is essentially a buff bot anyway, only difference is I have to manually switch to that screen and manually load the buffs, and manually click the spell. The buffbot portion of this does require user interaction to do anything. It's not like it's automatic, like the plugins are with local group/raid/XTargets. If anything this pulls it back a notch imho. This doesn't doesn't provide any real advantage to a player vs a player without this portion of the plugin. If someone without it happens to have a shaman they too can buff themselves.

So I don't see this as being a target anymore than anything else we do at Redguides or with MQ2 is a target.

Hiya,

is it possible to add clicky a rez tokken or is it used by the plugin itshelf? or is there any other Battle rez options for Shaman?

rez tokens aren't something you can add at this time

but built in functionality for the OMM staff like cwtn posted - i go over it in the mq2shaman video.

I am currently running MQ2 Shaman and MQ2 Beast. They work great when fighting mobs, love it. However, I noticed that at level 18 they both fight over buffing strength spells. Shaman will cast Talisman and then the beastlord will cast strength buff. They continue to over write each other until they are both out of mana. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks

I just merged this into the shaman thread even tho it is both bst and shaman.

You will have to block whatever spell you don't want. or you can turn on byos on one of them so they don't buff at all
