Plugin - MQ2Shaman 3.1.52471.11

talisman of unity is your group focus
the talisman of foresight was the GAgi (Group Agility) i was asked to add. I suspect that, they are overwriting each other.

what is strange is on a 115 with no other buffs i can't get that to occur, but i did have someone lower lvl who had a similar experience.

in the mean-time you will likely just want to block the group agility "Talisman of Firesight" ability

Thanks for the response. I blocked "Talisman of Foresight" on the Shaman and he then tried to do the same thing to the tank (MA). I blocked it on the tank also and Shaman stopped going into the crazy buff cycle and seemed to work normally. So thank you for once again helping me out.

Hello,
love all the plugins I am addicted to EQ again, so thank you.
my shaman has lost his Mq2shaman window.
watched the video so tried /reload and /loadskin default etc.
still works great but I need the window I am old..... and I need the window
thanks for any pointers.

a couple questions with mq2shaman and mq2bst, when the shaman is loaded on a different computer it will only buff the toons loaded on that computer, when everyone is loaded on the same computer it buffs everyone fine, ive checked mq2cwtnbuffs and do not have byos checked have made sure and tried both ways on all toons, also the beast is just not buffing at all besides spirit of blizzard on his pet, these are new toons and only level 23. ive watched all the videos for all plugins and read through the forums and searched but cant find anything related to these problems. All toons are connected to the same eqbc server and redguides account. has anyone else had problems like this across two pcs? and to be clear when i type /bccmd names everyone is connected from both pcs, not sure why they wont buff, and the beastlord is just not buffing at all even when everyone has no buffs.

Yes, it only sees buff on the computer it is running on. There may be a way to make it work across the network but that is over my head.

Q. Why does my shaman not buff the group?
A. You will need to run /plugin mq2cwtnbuffs load on all of your characters that you would like mq2shaman to buff. You also need to NOT be in /shm byos on mode. As "Bring Your Own Spells" assumes you want to handle your spells and your buffs. MQ2CWTNBuffs requires characters to be local characters (same PC, not across network or space/time).

Q. Do I need to assign what Xtargets to watch for XTargetBuffing?
A. Nope - Just toggle on UseXTargetBuffing and it will check all your Extended Targets to see if they are PCs and then buff them (they still need to be running mq2cwtnbuffs and be local)

All of the cwtn class plugins that use buffs require mq2cwtnbuffs locally (on your local pc - not across network or otherwise) to do buffing.

Please ensure you watch the CWTN UI video because it explains it here.

From the commands tab:
/shm show - Shows the CWTN UI window
/shm hide - Hides the CWTN UI window
/shm toggleui - Toggles visibility of the CWTN UI Window

anyway to stop it from casting the twincast heal nuke until the mob is at like 95 %
no, but it does respect the mob being within your campradius distance (regardless if you have a camp set or not) - since we use it for heal purposes, as soon as it's within camp we're going to do it.

if you don't like this you can turn off "usesquall" and it will no longer use giftDD to proc squall or check for the functionality of twincast etc for purposes of squall usage.

dam ok

I have an issue with Ancient Bargain Rk. II that MQ2Shaman keeps chain trying to cast, before the spell has reset. This results in the shaman perma standing and chain trying to buff that spell, thus preventing the spell from ever reseting. The fix is to pause the shaman and sit it down, until the spell has reset, or it is full mana.

can you show me your mq2shaman window where it is chain casting this?

we don't try and cast it until the gem is ready AND we also will only try and cast cannibalize every 5 seconds (which is useful at lower lvl when you have a 1.5second reuse timer.

also for a 115 shaman, i don't recommend running with usecannispell turned on - there's really no reason to at max level as the canni AA is more than adequate to cover

yup just turned it on, and as expected it only tries to cast it when the gem is ready. we use the same function to cast this spell as literally every other spell in the entire cwtn class plugins suite

Same here with RGmercs. After a wipe and I rez and go to guildhall to buff up, this happens to me too. And the timer on Ancient is up to 5 min?

this isn't rg mercs - and we have our own function to check if a spell is ready to cast.

until I see that somehow mq2 is saying that the gem is ready to cast and mq2shaman is chain casting I'm going to assume he is running something else - perhaps rg mercs if rg mercs has this issue as I can't duplicate it and the function that uses it wouldn't allow it to try and cast it more than once every 5 seconds anyhow.

yeah, the thing that got me thinking it wasnt plugin/macro specific was that the timer on the spell was all bugged out.

There is a known issue with spell/ability cool downs showing like they are available when they are not. Doing mission runs every day several times and this occurs in maybe 10% of the time after having zoned into a mission instance. This forces me to have to wait it out a bit until things are back in sync.

It doesn't have to do with mq or the cwtn plugins, it's daybreak themselves being dumb with their servers. :/

interesting - We still wouldn't do it more frequently than every 5 seconds.

but that is pretty wild eq bug i hadn't heard of yet

I have had to disable UseSOW on the shaman since she got this AA. Normally, i run both the bard song, and the shaman's sow, as my bard i sometimes leave behind, or my group gets spread out enough that i lose his song. I've had both show up in the buff list, so I don't think its an issue with those two speed buffs on the same target. Any way to keep this enabled and avoid the loop?

howdy Bregan,

what do you mean "keep this enabled"?

if you mean have your usesow setting stay to off - then you should use the slash command to change your setting as explained in the very first item of the FAQ

/shm usesow off

Q. The UI Window Doesn't save my settings?
A. This is intentional. The UI acts as a "hot swap" allowing you to adjust on the fly. If you want to "save" your settings, adjust it with the slash command.

I want to keep it on, but if i enable it, it will continue to try and cast Lupine Spirit, even though SOW is already applied to the group.

I don't think i understood your question the first time - I thought you were saying you keep moving out of range from your bard song, and then you cast sow afterwards.

hrm, well we check for stacking (tho mq2 does report incorrectly some stacking stuff at various low/mid levels - im not saying that is or is not the issue here) and we actually check specifically for the movement speed value you get from the spell to determine to use the AA or not.

the SoW spell we check if the character needs it or not.

can you PM me, and send a more detailed instruction on how to duplicate this something like:

toon b has xyz buff from toon a
toon a moves out of range
toon b loses xyz buff
shaman casts buff on toon b

are you getting any red "would not take hold/effect" messages on whomever it is trying to cast upon?

also - what lvl are you? and what rank of lupine spirit.

you don't get lupine spirit until like 75 with SoD - so my assumption you were rizlona isn't correct

shammies get tala`tak at 74, so are you missing spells also?

/shm missing

well we got to the bottom of why - the bard song is actually overwriting the sow spell, but the sow spell will cast over top of it, so we recast it because "it stacks and you don't have it".

looks like you're going to need to pick one or ther other otherwise they're going to cast over top each other.

Is there a way to prioritize rezzing the dead over buffing? example if I wipe and campfire back my shaman will fully buff himself then rez a group member then buff then rez ever single toon in the group and after thats all done he will target his own corpse and rez that and buff himself.

I'll take a look - we actually recently made changes so it wouldn't buff itself if it was waiting on refresh of rez spell (which it doesn't

Click byos before you campfire back. When your coming back for a combat rez, or into a hot fight, it sucks that rezzes start going.

we only memorize spells and do that kind of buffing while there are no mobs on xtarget just fyi

Ill edit that, maybe not buffing, but shaman has deff rezzed my tank and himself while hes engaged trying to reset camp..

we don't rez ourself while in combat, and we don't call rez someone who is physically there

if you're talking about a mission where the mob goes off x-target (think the call) - nothing i can do about that

Its not call.. its using my staff of forbidden rights then?

Can you turn off Unity of the Spirits? My shaman is chain casting it and never recovering mana. I'm guessing this is not overwriting something?

Edit: UseFocus? After disabling that, she seemed to simmer down and I was able to get busy.

yup, if you don't want to use focus, turn usefocus off.

you likely have something else overwriting what you have and its recasting because of it. or something that mq2 (not mq2bst) says stacks when it doesn't, so it recasts because you're missing it.

you can also block whatever of the 4 sub-spells is causing you that issue.

Any thoughts to adding a pet attack on off while healing, shamy pets suck but dps is dps. When i'm in heal mode with her, her pet won't assist the MA/MT or defend her despite having the use pet on selected in the gui.
