i show'd you what i run mysettings and what it makes my loadout look like when you asked before > here <

Since i run an sk tank, no real reason to want to use growth
 
I have a question (which may or may not have previously been brought up by others). I did a cursory check and could not find any mention within the discussion.

My question is, prior to casting recourse (Zrelik's Recourse), are checks made to see if the shaman is already benefiting from Zrelik's Watch, Zrelik's Persistence, or Zrelik's Forbearance prior to casting?

AA's and spell foci can allow for spell refresh prior to the third wave of the previous cast to "proc" (lack of a better word). In this situation, if recourse is cast, Zrelik's Watch, will be blocked by Zrelik's Forbearance, in effect wasting the spell's CD.

The reason I ask is that, as the only healer in AE heavy situations, I'm seeing lots of "Your Zrelik's Watch III spell did not take hold on <GroupMember123>. (Blocked by Zrelik's Forbearance III.)" messages

we do check for stacking - but apparently, mq2 says that a new recourse and forbearance stack. I'll see if i can find a work around
 
With UseDot: On and UseNuke: Off - It still mems Direfang's Bite opposed to Chaotic Venin. Checking to see if this is intentional.

at least for now - yes - and venin goes in your 13th slot if you don't have alliance on.

but yup - and not really sure i plan on changing this. there are plenty of times someone may want to temporarily turn off nukes to hold them but not want to swap around spell sets.

if you want a custom loadout - byos is your friend.

Pretty new to SHM and got access to a lvl 115 and am using this plugin. I run an SK tank as well, by Growth are you referring to Frenzied Growth? And why off? I am at work so cant access game sites to read about he effects of growth so if you could give me little lesson that would be appreciated.
 
So I have been using MQ2Shaman quite a bit and I am trying to figure out what is causing the downtime between spells at times. A prime example of this would be during DPS mode. Group is full life, no heals are needed yet the plugin doesnt cast DoT's. Is there a way to for DoT's to be cast more while in DPS mode? I've also noticed this delay in healing mode when group is taking heavy damage. Shaman has plenty of quick heals up, multiple people low liife, spells aren't on global cooldown and nothing is being cast. I believe its generally waiting on swell to come back up.

nah there's no way to change for more dots > healing. it is not going to be a wizard instead of a shaman - you can adjust your priority for heals with the healing adjustments that are available to you, but iits still going to check the other priorities before going into its dps checks.

the plugins don't "wait" for anything outside of their state changes.

if healing and such needs to happen (outside of giftdd) its not going to end up getting to swapping targets to damage and melee and all that kind of "secondary" stuff - dotting, nukes, including slowing.

I haven't seen anything you're talking about but i'll keep an eye on it

Hi Sic, I've been playing with this on the test server and I'm getting the same crash dump as DarkPaladin was (OincomingChat crashed at address 0x57610 ).. I tried the dll you posted, but that just crashes when i try and load the plugin, i'm guessing it needs to be compiled specifically for test vs live...

Let me know if you want me to pm any crash dumps..

you can't load a live .dll for test.

no ty on the dumps - it was fixed same day and just waiting on a VV rebuild (which should happen today)

Does gift still go with squall on or is it all nukes?

if you have usesquall on - it is done in the other checks
if you have usesquall off its done as a nuke without consideration for healing parts

Been using this Plugin for a couple weeks. Never played a shaman and have gotten access to a 115 shaman so I have am sure this does a waybettr job than I could do. Keeps my SK and the rest of my group alive! Unless I go super man and get like 8 mobs or something, Shammy still tries but it doesnt always end well for the Group! hahah
 
Any plans to add an oh shit mode that would totem at a certain HP point?

Also, union is a great heal to use but I don’t see it being cast as well. Any way we can get this added as a rescue heal or on names?

don't plan on totemming at this time - for a few reasons - but i will likely add spirit of urgency

We do use union as an emergency on our MA - we also check stacking on it because it doesn't stack with some things.
 
Hey Sic/CWTN

Plan on purchasing this when it comes live. One question - is there a way to save the epic to sync with my DPS burns?

no I may make a toggle at some point for using epics so you could turn off the usage - this will be a broad change - but no - we're not going to wait just in case you may or may not have a class that may or may not have their items/abilities and such and then do "less shaman stuff" because of it.

edited: I'm going to mess around with an option where you can shmepic 0,1,2 - where 0 is never use it (so you can turn it off, and save for manual usage), 1 is during burn condition only (don't forget shm doesn't have burnnow - so burnalways, or burncount, or burnallnamed), and 2 would be just in combat.

Also - before it pops up - the cwtn plugins only do the automagical usage of the 1.5/2.0 (outside of cleric epic rez) - so no, I'm not going to add in the 1.0 click sowwy (but you can add to addclickys of course)

Just thinking of certain events where it'd be nice to save burns (The Call especially since the stupid mini dragons lock). This looks perfect!

well - it looks like i absolutely fucked a couple of things in a hurry to push this last stuff - so right now - none of that =p
 
but it should be set to check for forbearance- it already checks for stacking and i don't think its possible for your recourse to be back up before forbearance lands is it?

whatever case is - we're going to need a new patch :(

This would be a scenario where there are multiple shaman in the same group. Not certain if this is something you want to address. This might be considered an "edge case".



But it does lead me to wonder, do the CWTN plugins check for existence of other class specific buffs before casting their own? IE, if I already have AA (b/c another shm w/n the raid MGB'd it) will the plugin still cast AA? or will it still cast Composite Roar if I already have it, or epic clicks? Or would you consider these edge cases as well?

it checks for the stacking of the buff they're trying to cast - if they need it, they cast it. if you don't have it, and/or your buff stacks, it will cast it. if either you have it, or the buff you're trying to cast doesn't stack according to mq2, then we don't cast it.

its not going to cast it if you already have the buff. (just like the other caster/buffing classes we have).
 
I don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but I have a 60 shaman on Rizlona I turn off the use aoe slow and turn on use slow, but he still memorizes and only wants to use the aoe slow. Aside from deleting the spell from my book is there any other way to fix that?

I had the same issue, not sure when the AA unlocks, but the problem goes away when you have 1 rank of the Turgur's Swarm AA. Believe it's a SoD AA, so likely this won't help solve your problem for awhile, but wanted to mention it.
