Ok, I'm new to trying out the cwtn plugins, so far on the ones i've tried and got working they are nice. If i can get them all working i plan on getting the latest p2p versions. Heres my question, my cleric and shaman try to chain cast their buffs when i have higher level buffs on me, i read in the faq about blocking the one i dont want, but in this case it isnt an issue of not wanting, its an issue of just maybe having a higher level clr or shm buff on me. Is there a way without blocking to ha e it check stuff like that? (i would like to keep the higher level buff when its there without chain casting my lower buffs, but i would like it to cast my buffs when the better ones wear off.

Would need to know specifically which buffs are an issue.

as mentioned, there are buffs that report that they stack and will overwrite that don't.

Working with brainiac on a spell reporting issue for next, it is very possible that the changes to macroquest for next actually resolve these issues as a by-product.

in the time being, there isn't really a way to fix it. if mq2 as a whole is reporting "i don't have this buff and it is going to take hold and stack" than that is what mq2shaman things. for shaman/bst it is usually focus, which you can just /shm usefocus off to turn it off for the time
 
Hi, On the EMU version the shaman will not use Cure Disease to cure Rabies at low levels. UseCures is set to true. Also Pause doesn't seem to work on any of the plugins for EMU, everything I click it the pause logo comes up and then when I click my bag or something it will unpause. Thanks!

what emu are you on?

does your emu's version of rabies not have disease spa with counters in it?

clicking the pause logo in the cwtn ui window unpauses - are you sure you're not hitting that?

I am using a PEQ fork, no real changes just self hosted. I will have to check the db to see if it has the counters.

Anywhere I click in the client will unpause it, only pauses if I click the logo.
 
How do i use a mount with this? All i can find is the autodismount toggle.
 
how well does this function with tlp servers? specifcally with ferine avatar in combat?

you could /tescopy your characters to the test server and give it a try without any obligation for purchase since you it is included with your lvl 2 VV.

but yes, it uses avatar.
 
oh thanks. i forgot you can test them on test. you probably told me before when i bought the clr one
 
Here is a clip of the pause issue I was talking about , its a private server on EMU I am not concerned about the names. Maybe I am doing something wrong? Only happens on EMU not live. The clip might take a few to process.

Also it feels like canni isn't working as expected at lower levels (lvl 30). My shaman will canni down to 60 and heal himself for a net loss of mana.

Also would it be possible to get a "BuffPets" and "RegenSelfOnly" options? Feels like a waste of mana to buff pets with single target buffs at lower levels, and casting regen on every one every time minutes my shaman never gets mana back.

not sure why it would be different on emu than live - it is very difficult to support emu as so many emus are different. that is why there is no cost for them

you should adjust your canni and heal values if you want them to be different,

/shm CanniAAMana # - the mana value you want to use your canni AA at
/shm CanniSpellMana # - the mana value you want to use your canni spell at
/shm MendingMA # - the health value of MA you want to use the mending line
/shm MendingNotMA # - the health value of Non-MAs you want to use the mending line

I'll ask cwtn to test next time he updates/test emu

I can't replicate trying to use blood of nadox to cure anything other than poison / disease counters as it is intended

Here you can see turning on memcureall, so we memorize blood of nadox
I get the Sunscorch dot on me, which gives 16 curse counters
instead of trying to use the already memorized blood of nadox, I memorize eradicate curse,
while i'm waiting for eradicate curse to come up, i cast mending on myself, then eradicate curse
after curing the curse counters, I re-memorize blood of nadox since i had "memcureall" on

if I didn't have memcureall on, (out of combat) instead it would just straight memorize the eradicate curse

Here I get Plague, which has Disease resists, because blood of nadox does disease counters, we memorize it and cast

If I already have it memorized, due to memcureall, and i get the same disease counters, i then cast it

Can you replicate this and while this is happening, PM me your toonname_Buffs.Ini in your release folder- because it sounds like mq2cwtnbuffs thinks you have disease or poison counters, and if for some reason we think you have those poison or disease counters, we're going to cast blood of nadox

or is there anything else important to know about your situation/circumstance that might be helpful?

Blood of nadox doesn't say it is only group, but was this trying to cure a raid member (it would obviously still be a toon that is local on your local computer as it still needs mq2cwtnbuffs

@Raidien1 took forever, and i still can't duplicate it, buuuut, i think i might know what the issue is. We have an extra earlier cure check specifically to catch curses because of how brutal restless ice was when they put it in.
so this was definitely a messup on my part
I can see where there would be a usage issue there, and why i couldn't replicate it on myself. I'll fix

out of curiosity, are you in byos?

I have a question on AA Canni. I'm having difficulty getting my shaman to use the AA canni. I have canni set to be used at /shm canniAAMana 60%, but he won't use it. Granted that using canni will take my shaman down to around 10% of its life, Is there a HP check built in that won't allow canni to be used?

yup there sure is, it won't use AA canni if it will take you below 20% health, and it won't use regular canni if it will take you below 20 health (or 30 if you have mobs on xtarget - this is for lower lvl toons so they don't get low hp aggro)
 
Is there a way to disable casting these short duration melee proc spells? Lasts for 1 minute and continues to cast it on the 4 melee in my group so it's burning up a ton of mana.

Current spell is Spirit of the Puma

Lioness is cast upon melee members of your group - if you don't want them to receive the buff, then block the spell on the person you don't want to have it cast upon.

EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Buffs
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)

I added a mage into the group with my shaman. All accounts are running from my local machine. The shaman is chain-casting Unity of the Kromrif on the mage's pet. On the mage pet, I blocked: Unity of the Kromrif, Kromrif Focusing, Preeminent Foresight, Mammoth's Force, Spirit of Volition and Spirit of Celerity. The shaman still keeps trying to buff the pet. I did not see any red text telling me what was blocking the spell, so I paused the mage and put him in a group w/ only the shaman and then I removed all of the mage's pet's buffs. With all of the spells that the Unity spell includes blocked and no buffs at all on the mage pet, it is still chain casting Unity of the Kromrif on the pet. At this point, I am at a loss and hoping someone has some other things I can try. I have other group members that can benefit from this spell, so I would prefer not to turn off UseFocus if it can be avoided.

I can't imagine that it would cause a problem, but to be thorough I should mention that the pet does not have a generic pet name; I drank a potion to assign it a name. The shaman's pet also has an assigned name, but he doesn't chain-cast focus on his own pet...

does your pet have the same name as another member/player?
and just to be double sure - you mean "symbol of Celerity" and not "spirit of Celerity" correct?

well couple things:

i believe there is a stacking issue with pets and mage arcane distillect > as mentioned here <

but if you have everything blocked, we wouldn't cast it - unless if you have a naming conflict with your pet being named as another character that you have locally - I guess that is a possible reason.
 
It's not the same name as anyone in my group, but I have not checked to see if there is a character w/ that name on the server.

Yes, Symbol of Celerity.
 
Just tried to create a toon on the server and apparently that name is in use by someone.

on server doesn't matter. i just meant if there was a local toon with that name we might be looking elsewhere for bill's buffs

I would double-check the mage aura isn't just overwriting the buffs forcing the buff to disappear and then your shaman to re-cast because the mage aura overwrote
 
With shaman and mage only in group, no buffs on the mage pet, the unity buffs blocked and no mage aura, I still have the same issue. :mystery:

yeah dunno - I would maybe relog everyone.

you can see mammoth's force not taking hold due to distillect (but not overwriting either direction)

can see i memorize it to cast, cast it on gonober, and then re-memorize my spell as intended

but you have a deeper issue if you're adding stuff to blocked buffs, and it is still casting.

can you show me (in pm if you like) where mq2shaman is chain casting it on your pet?
also your blocked pet buffs with spell names shown
 
now regarding the Arcane Distillect - if the aura fades, or you move out of range in a way that your pet no longer has Arcane Distillect, you will memorize and recast "Unity of the Kromrif" because you're missing "Mammoth's Force III" and it stacks now you don't have arcane distillect.

This is why I'm interested in looking at your pet's blocked buffs to ensure you're blocking the correct Mammoth's Force, which would be "Mammoth's Force III" in this case.

You can see here EQ is treating "Mammoth's Force" and "Mammoth's force III" as 2 different things. So in this case, if you're not blocking "Mammoth's Force III" then it isn't blocked =p

The below screen is showing that mammoth's force is blocked, but mammoth's force III lands

so if you're going in and out of range of the aura, or the aura is otherwise dropping, and you don't have MF3 blocked, you're shaman is going to re-cast the ST focus spell
 
You are correct, sir. I had to block mammoth's force III AND preeminent foresight III to get it to stop! Thank you for your time!!
 
Hey, good morning.

TL;DR: If you're shaman seems to be stuck in PAUSE ON or PAUSE OFF, just unload /plugin mq2shaman unload and reload /plugin mq2shaman load MQ2Shaman to clear this problem.

Bug Documentation

For the first time since I've been using MQ2Shaman (which is f***ing amazing btw), my Shaman has been getting stuck in PAUSE ON of PAUSE OFF mode.

So, I just wanted to start documenting.

Yesterday in Discord I commented that my /status check reported that my Shaman (using MQ2Shaman) reported back as PAUSED regardless of how the MQ2Shaman window displayed it. It also consistently reported TRUE when typing /echo ${CWTN.Paused}, even when I toggled between /shm pause on and /shm pause off.

This morning, the opposite is happening. My shaman appears to be "stuck" in unpaused mode. I'm also using MQ2Berzerker and MQ2Eskay, but those two seem to be fine.

Toubleshooting

I suspect that that the PAUSE status is getting stuck/locked either at logout or logon. It doesn't seem like any other plugins would be affecting it, but I can't be sure.

Edit: Tried camping to desktop and loading back in, but the PAUSE issue didn't happen again. So much for that theory lol.
