MQ2Rogue

Plugin - MQ2Rogue 3.1.52471.11

These abilites dont seem to be activating:

Veiled Blade (Timer 20), Level 124
Shadow-Hunter's Dagger (Timer -1), Level 102
that's weird - we definitely use both those lines and looking in a character to test, it is using it exactly as expected

Having an issue where rogue keeps attempting to hide and sneak even while in combat - doesn't appear it's attempting to do anything but sneak while in combat.

/rog usehidesneak off has been set, it is set to 0 in the ini as well.

Pretty strange as I have another rogue that is doing just fine with the same ini. Not running anything else, just the CWTN plugin and other basics. Any ideas why this might be? If I click Sneak or Hide off while out of combat, the plugin output immediately goes to Using: Sneak or Using: Hide.

Confirmed that if I unload the plugin, the behavior stops.

As someone who’d never played a rogue before, I added one to my group a while back. After a hiatus from eq I’ve recently returned and have found the mq2rogue cwtn to be outstanding.

One of the bright spots about rogues is how relatively easy they are to gear. Plus they need far less AA’s than some classes to reach full dps potential. They work great in melee groups, and if you run a tank + sham + bard, everything is aligned with a rogue.

Aside from just pumping how good I’m finding my rogue to be, something I only started using yesterday seems to be a nice bump in dps. Poison is easy to overlook, especially for a toon who may just be a dps bot. I was looking for ways to improve the toon and ran into the FAQ note on using poison. If you have pants (even older ones in a bag) this is an easy button for creating/using poisons that will boost your dps. Anyhow, it helped me and I truly appreciate the cwtn plugins and all the dev team does to make the game more enjoyable…so thought I’d bump this:

Q. I still don't know where to add poison or pants for addclicky.
A. :
hold your poison, /rog addclicky downtime
then
hold your pants, /rog addclicky summon #, where # is how many you want to summon.

The message about being silver and hurting dps. Does this hold true if you have the RK II perk from the db store?
Rk II isn't the end all be all. You still can't use rank III. You can't wear best gear. You can't use most augs. Silver will effect you regardless if you're using the plugins or not. It's more to let people know they are silver, in case they didn't realize they were silver (Krono wears off) and you're about to launch your group into what you think is a reasonably easy fight, only to wipe 3 times back to back because you're silver and not gold.

Having this same issue. Rogues enter hide and sneak and refuse to leave. Tried loading and unloading plugin. Making sure /rog usehidesneak off , tried using 0 in ini.

Group have a corpse in the zone? That's when using hide AND sneak is applied outside of the normal UseHideSneak when out of combat.
I recommend against manually editing the INI. The plugin has all the tools needed to make adjustments without ever opening the file.

Hide is used when in combat as it reduces your aggro. This will not be a toggle. It won't actually hide you when you're in combat. It merely ducks off aggro. It is possible that it will use hide right as a fight is ending, but it wouldn't sneak. Any movement would break it without sneak. Any lack of movement will be handled by the fact that you will melee engage with targets making it a non-issue.

Are you fab1us on discord?

The list of stuff /answers I gave you are important.

If mobs are outside your camp - you're not gonna attack them.

Check your red circle on your camp.

Set your puller campradius smaller than your assist toons

I am getting a crash everytime I switch persona on my Rogue. I have a Ranger and Shaman also on this toon, and I can switch between Rogue -> Ranger, and Ranger->Shaman, Rogue->Shaman, Shaman->Ranger but Ranger->Rogue and Shaman->Rogue produce a crash consistently.

not sure it is mq2rogue related, it says here eqgame itself crashed

have you unloaded mq2rogue and then tried to swap to a rogue?

we don't do anythign special about personas, so there's nothing we're doing directly

if you don't already have the new eq ui engine disabled, you need to do that (for mq)

I did a search on disabling the new UI Engine but found nothing. Can you point me at the resource?

Thanks

Bumping this, Shadow-Hunter can be used with Queseris and is part of rogue regular disc usage (they do both simultaneously) - is there a way to add that back to list of disc to use?

I'm not entirely sure if that's what the OP of that first question was asking either but figured since it was similar enough to my issue that I'd jump in.

Thanks for the future update, as far as I'm aware this was the only disc with this problem.

As of the latest compile/MQ2rogue release. I cannot get my Rogue to inject at all. Crashes immediately with the newest MQ2 release. All other plugins seem to be working.

an image of text is not very useful - but thanks i'll take a look. thanks

ChatWithThisName updated MQ2Rogue with a new update entry:

10/24/2025

- revamp of the corpsedrag functionality
- - now grabs corpses based on class priority (tanks, priests, other rezzers (nec), then dps)
- - no longer waits around while one corpse is rezzed, will go and get another one
- - takes corpses to group or raid rezzer

Read the rest of this update entry...

lol well that doesn't make much good sense - it is all the same library function, there isn't mq2monk vs mq2rogue code for this

edit: your monk should be having same issue

after i made those changes, cwtn and i refactored the whole thing, which i think introduced it back :p
oh ha. monk has passed the level and gotten ecliptic so I wouldn't see it on him, but I was a little surprised it wasn't all one function. I unfortunately know your pain of reintroducing bugs though lol
