Weird because I swore i had the latest last night and it was pulling fine. Im assuming it has to do with hitting 127. Thanks for the fast response

lvl 10 Paladin wants to spam Courage on a lvl 10 cleric that has a higher buff on.. Not finding a way to stop that from happening outside of using BYOS.. Thoughts?

inb4 sic copies from the faq (sorry on mobile so lost the pretty colors)

Q. I appear to be chain casting Brells - or some other spell?
A. There are a few of these buffs that eq/mq reports stack that do not or will chain overwrite other buffs and you get into a buffing contest with another toon. You either have this situation or some other issues. I would suggest checking for the red error text that eq gives you to tell you WHY it didn't successfully take hold and then go from there. You can block anything you don't want cast. This is a built-in EverQuest feature - right-click on the buff and "add this spell to list of blocked spells" or go through the eq menu -> character -> blocked buffs

EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Buffs
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)

/blockspell add me id
/blockspell add pet id

You can also turn off using brells /pal usebrells off

I've got paladin grouped with a cleric. I have groupwatch set to Cleric only but it is pausing for a full group med when just the paladin is oom as well. at around mid 40s range paladin is just burning mana on nuking and cleric is full

is there something I'm doing wrong or is this correct behavior?

This plugin changed my perspective. I used to be a "Warrior" box but then, realized paladin can do much more with plugin help and he became my main tank.
Its helpfull concentrate in a lot else and yet, let the plugin rez, splash and more.
One of my "need to have" ones.
If ya not tried it yet, do it!

Show me where group watch is reporting the rest of the group.

We *always* watch ourselves. So if you mean "the paladin" instead "full group med"

Adjust your med start and med end.

If you don't like the load out you can byos

Yeah, I've run a few paladins from 0 to max (or stopped them at specific level rangers for pl reasons - 60s, 85/90, 110), I think they're underrated.

I don't like *driving* a paladin as much as a war or sk, not enough of their toolkit has kept with SK and "modern" gameplay with regards to insta or nsar insta cast spells

Is this what you mean?

[MQ2Paladin]:: Paladin: Mana Current: 29.0 Starting Threshold: 30.
[MQ2Paladin]:: I need to rest.
[MQ2Paladin]:: Cleric: Mana Current: 76.0 Ending Threshold: 90.
[MQ2Paladin]:: Paladin: Mana Current: 29.0 Ending Threshold: 90.

Starting med is 30, ending med is 90
groupwatch set to "Cleric Only"

I don't dislike the loadout. I want him to go through his mana, but I just don't want him to stop pulling when he's low.I just added that in my comment because it's around this level that the paladin first had mana issues relative to the cleric

yes, he is resting for himself, which we always watch

You basically have to swap to a different puller if u want to ignore the mana that the pally is at, and only worry about the cleric. (so a monk/bard/anything else that might not go OOM b4 the cleric) OR, set your pally to use less spells at that level.

I may have accidentally discovered one cool trick™, but is paladin meant to hit shield flash and deflection simultaneously? Seen it a few times and not on my sk so wasn't sure

no
we use shield deflection first, and then we check that you don't have deflection up (and it isn't ready) before using shield flash.

you might be having the server lag where your active disc takes a while to register

Hello,

Still learning the ropes and tried looking into this my self but is there a paladin ability that knocks back? i have tested my other boxes and its defiantly the paladin thats causing it.

What would be causing this ?

some spell lines have "push", what is it you mean by "knockback" like LessonStun

Divine Stun AA also has it

Hey thank you so much. The second you said divine stun AA i realzied i recently swapped it in to try.

Also push and knockback for me are the same thing. are they different in EQ?

i just wanted to clarify - sometimes when people say knockback they mean like a "get the fuck away from me" across the room kinda thing rather than a "back up" kind of shove
