MQ2Monk

Plugin - MQ2Monk 3.1.52471.11

Using enchanter, monk, sk and shm plugin. Occasionally vorpal mode stops working. Toons stop assisting, healing, attacking, etc. Buffing continues like normal. Only a hard reset of EQ fixes vorpal. The other settings (sictank, tank, assist, etc) all work. I was thinking a memory issue at first? But why does the other settings work if I switch over?

Any suggestions to duplicate or diagnose?

sounds more like you're getting to an area that is off mesh - even with vorpal mode you need to be in a mesh'd area.

are you using levitation? you could try turning that off

or also turning off the /monk UseSwimFix off and see if that is your issue (its called swimfix but its also does trying to move to your mob if you're levitating)

also keep in mind that vorpal while it doesn't set a camp still uses your campradius value before it target's your MA's mob. and if your ma's distance to your ma's target is greater than your campradius, you're not going to do anything

the assisting portion of vorpal is the exact same as chase assist, and the only difference (over simplified) between chaseassist and vorpal and regular assist is the camp to mob for campradius versus your ma to mob distance.

it is unlikely where vorpal happens to stop working but everything else does - it is more likely the mob/ma distance is greater than your campradius

the fact that you say it stops healing is pretty wild. we've never heard anything like that - healing checks are completely irrelevant of any mode.

are you sure you're not pausing the plugins?

I will play with it some more and try to diagnose better, giving more specifics. I admit I was kind of broad in the details, so I'll play with them to figure it out

i cannot confirm this is the cause, but this is the only thing i changed since it worked good.
So my mez on pulls are getting broken and i cannot see where. does monk have anything aoe that may mess it up?

Edit: nvm maybe i just had some odd pulls. all good

Heron Stance is a disc I use alongside Five Point Palm. FPP is triggered either in burn or normal, can't tell. However, Heron Stance is not. May I request it be added?

Crane is already part of the burn routine. yes.

Trying to set monk to pullerassist using the following command, have tried several variations but not working keeps going to assist instead.. I am guessing it has to do with the Mode 1 line and I need to change it?
/noparse /bcg //if (!${Select[${Me.Class.ShortName},SHM, BST]})

/bcga //camphere on
/war mode 7
/noparse /bcg //docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName} mode 1
/war resetcamp
/noparse /bcg //if (${Me.Class.ShortName.Equal[MNK]}) /monk mode 6

/noparse /bcg //if (${Me.Class.ShortName.Equal[MNK]}) /monk mode 6 <--- you are telling anyone who is a monk to go mode 6

if i hit that button from manual mode, i go in assist, then immediately to puller assist mode

its possible you have eqbc delay or issues
maybe try a /timed 20 /noparse /bcg //if (${Me.Class.ShortName.Equal[MNK]}) /monk mode 6

Ya, I've tried to burn command, killing named. Heron Stance is not triggering. I do have Rk. II, will that affect it?
nope, rank doesn't matter - its part of the tier'd burn while your fistdisc is up

Man this is a long thread!!! I took my 115 Monk out yesterday to give the MQ2Monk a go round. Was more no go than go. I logged in, signed in to /bccmd connect and then /plugin MQ2Monk load. Everything seemed to load fine other that I was missing a few tomes. So, I trekked it out to Frontier Mountains and went into the Temple of Droga (EoK), killed the entrance mob fairly easy. Then I dropped down into the main area and this is when things went haywire. There are too many things to list about what was going on. My Monk would hit some disc, fight, stop fighting, FD, stand up and all the while the 2 mobs below killed my Cleric and embarrassingly killed me. I know this is suppose to be an out of the box DPS machine ...but on my first try ...not so much. PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks in advance! Don't know that both or any are necessary but figured if you did want to look, here you go. What are you using to read these dmp files. Tried using Notepad++ but it was a screen full of didactic'd NULL!

these appear to be direct x realted eqgame crashes and unrelated to mq2monk specifically

it depends on the zone and what is going on

Are these things adjustable in the CWTN Plugins for the classes. If you can change those things ...please let me in on what I missed as I am sure I was told in the million videos and my feeble 60+ year old brain.

The game has been crashing, so that info what helpful. However, that is not what I was talking about. I was speaking about how my Monk was acting with killing mobs. They are to many to list but I will through out a few. The Monk would move forward on the mob so it was no longer hitting it, it would just go "Melee Off" ....CRAP!!! I forgot that when I loaded MQ2Monk the MQ2 window stated that MQ2Melee was incompatible with this plugin ...or something very close to that. Is there a list of commands that I should review for this Plugin ...if there is one of course. Important: I was alone and not boxing. In the end I got 2 mobs on me and they went after the cleric and would not react to every disc I was throwing at them. Ultimately they killed my Cleric and then beat me into Feign and it was back to the GH after that short test.

took me a while to try and find what you were quoting as it was back from december of 2019.

but yes, the pull settings are adjustable in the cwtn plugins either via command > mq2monk commands tab < or the interface (pull tab) like spoken about in the CWTN UI Vid - the pull tab looks a bit differently now, and there are some additions but the idea is the same

cwtn is a vet, I'm not, but thank you for the well wishes - best bet to leave it at the well wishes and avoid politics

Sorry, you're right ...I should not have said that. I am a 24 year veteran of the USAF. Two tours in Iraq, 1 in Saudi and 1 in Afghanistan! Was proud to serve. This is no place for political discussions and I apologize.

So did they fix fists of steel proccing with 2 handers? cause i haven't noticed it proc with my 2hb equipped. and the bando swap option is not working... what names do I have to add to the bandoleer for it to work?

i haven't seen anything about fists of steel being fixed - in fact, the proc is miserably slow with either 1h or 2 handers - its basically poo

you do not have to name the bandoliers anything - just like the vid and the faq they just have to exist

*however* - it looks like last adjustment i made i screwed something up with when the plugin checks to see if we have valid bandolier sets =p will be fixed next update

You are absolutely right good sir!! my bad on that. and yeah it doesn't actually change, but the 2hs is better dps you're right.

So I've been using MQ2monk and love the plugin. In an attempt to taggle Fists of Steel more frequently I turned on the bandoswap. I created the bandolier with 2 1hb maces and named it "1HB" and then a second one for 2hb and named it "2HB". With 1hb on, i get the proc for fists of steel but my bandolier does not switch to 2HB. Am i missing a step or did I name them wrong? I watched a video by sic explaining it and can't seem to see what I am doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you are unpathched.

you should run the patcher.

it is literally the post above you (tho you didn't post the mq2monk question in the mq2monk thread - i had to move it here).

and just FYI - FoS is still poo and you are nearly certain to have a dps loss using bandoswap on a monk.

ah my bad! thanks for the assist! and appreciate the help man!

Small issue with mq2monk. When I set pullerassist my monk will target a mob and do one of the following either run near them and stand there or just sit at camp. I have to go and hit Distant Strike to get the first mob pulled after that everything works just fine.

do a /monk debugpull on once and it should tell you why.

there's nothing that strikes me as "don't work until we do something the first time"

running near them likely means either a: an issue with your mesh, or b: one of those weird line of sight issues where mq2 thinks we have los but eq doesn't - this could be a pebble or a blade of grass

Yeah I gave /monk debugpull on once a go before I started pulling. It didnt return a value when I ran up to the mob and stood there. Its not a big deal since its only that first pull.

well - the monkdebugpull on once would tell you why you're not GOING to pull. I did explain that :(

like i said if you went to pull and stopped short - there's almost certainly an issue with your mesh or where the mob is causing an issue where mq2 thinks you have line of sight but you don't or your nav ends up putting you in somewhere that isn't line of sight.

I would definitely ensure you're not running poo background frames

Im running 60 background frame rates. I have updated the meshes. This issue occurs anywhere and everywhere I start pulling. It is not an issue with my SK when he pulls. You stated earlier "do a /monk debugpull on once and it should tell you why. " I did that and it didnt if you explained then I must have missed it sorry.
