Plugin - MQ2Monk 3.1.52471.11

Redbot updated MQ2Monk with a new update entry:

5/10/2021

- Will no longer fire EndRegen if you have revival sickness (will still fire with rez sickness).
- Breaths line will no longer fire in a safe-zone or if you have revival sickness.
- Turns out MQ2Monk never checked downtime clickies, or aura in between pulls in a pulling mode.
-- Fix't :tm:

Encountered something strange yesterday with my monk and this plugin. He stopped doing Flying Kick and Tiger Claw. Tiger Claw was selected in the settings, but for the life of me couldn't understand why it wouldn't fire. After looking into it a bit more I noticed the Fabled Shrunken Goblin Skull Earring was chain firing for some reason. I RemoveClicky Offensive and it fixed my issue. I haven't add the earring back (might do it manually) but I wanted others to see my fix if they by chance encountered it. Just glad to have my "Kicks to the Faces" back!

well that is because the fabled shrunken goblin skull earring doesn't give you the buff it says it gives you - and there is 0 reason to manually re-cast it.

it unlocks your Special AA tab "Aura of Rage" 3/3

the actuall buff window buff "Shadow of firefist" gives you nothing.
1621177316288.png

There is no reason to add it as an add clicky.

Had no idea. Been awhile and keep learning as I go. I'll put it on the list of what not to do. Went to Alla and read the comment section. Probably should have done that before posting. Thanks for the token teaching Sic. I'm still a youngling in this game.

It may be worth mentioning that any buff in the buff window beginning with "Shadow of" is useless for the most part.

Is there a way in-game to add a debuff to what you want purify to remove while pulling?

Just as an example, I was letting my monk pull in WW and it would occasionally pull mobs that cast a debuff (Skewer) that lucy shows as "Slow Push (-400) ". I checked through my EQ logs and it doesn't look like the monk ever ties to purify it, and it was the only thing in the zone getting the monk killed while pulling. From what I could tell the monk pretty much gets trapped under the mob and dies because it can't path back to camp.

no there isn't

and this doesn't report as curable matching what the AA can cure.

now some do "can do 1 detrimental effect" - but we're searching for SPA against what we know we can cure

I would also suggest using a chasemode/huntertank style hunting for areas where you have mob effects like that

Any word on when this will work for MQNext, if ever? :)
all of the cwtn plugins have been updated for next already. Until they're built with VeryVanilla and distributed with the launcher, you have to msg CWTN and if/when he has them available he will send them out.

Cool beans thanks friendo. Love yall :)

Is there a slash command to change the StickHow? Like, i'll have one of the options to be at like 95% for max melee, but i don't want that always. I want to click a button from my driver toon that selects that option from my monks instead of going into each individual toon an selecting from the drop down.

-- you can also swap with slash command /mnk stickselection 2

Yup, if you already have your stick 0-9 set up, you just change your stickselection like it shows in the commands tab

Here's a small thing I ran into today. Bug? Maybe. Just something I would let you know about.

On Test -

Group has 3 monks, so I've verified this across all three.

/mnk missing

You appear to be missing -> [101] Dichotomic Form

I purchase the spell in PoT and Scribe it.

this is because all of the progressive spells have multiple ranks, and those ranks are all checked against the other progressive spells. every time it checks one that you should be able to have, it is going to output you are missing it

Right, I assumed it had to do with the different ranks - I'm guessing there must be 8 ranks? Since I have Rank 1 and then it said I was missing the spell 7 times.

But, that being said. I guess I'm confused as to why the plugin reports "you're missing stuff...", I unload and reload the plugin, and then it says "nevermind, you're good"

because each time it doesn't find itself it gets added to the list of the missing spells and then gets spit out, it isn't supposed to add itself if it is already there - i'll take a look and see if it is reporting due to failure or intended - but that is why

so yup. turns out i was all like "hey if i don't have this thing in my left pocket, then add it to my right pocket, then I would check again in my left pocket to see if i had already added it. end up with a pocket full of apples and Werther's Original hard candies when I only wanted 1 apple and 1 Werther's Original hard candy

I've run into an odd issue the past few days on my monk. He's level 65 and on a TLP server. I have the Monk set as MA and Puller in group. The MT is a merc.

The plugin mode is set to Puller Assist and the CampRadius is set to 100. The pulling settings are:

Pull Radius: 250
Pull ZHigh: 175
Pull ZLow: 100
Pull Arc: 365

Pulling is working just fine. But, auto-attack doesn't always turn on once the mob gets into camp and the MT engages. This doesn't happen every pull mind you. Once the mob is in camp and the MT is engaged, if I then hit the auto-attack key, everything picks up and runs normally. ALSO...and this was what I found most curious...if I tapped the forward movement key until the monk was within 20 units, auto-attack would then turn on as well.

It seems that if the Tank merc engages the incoming mob more than 20 units away from the monk, then auto-attack doesn't turn on. This happens maybe 1 in 4 mobs. But, I'd to fix it if possible. I've tried toggling /assist on and off with no effect. Any help would be appreciated.

there is no "/assist on" as far as the plugin is concerned

sounds like you need to adjust your campradius, the mob is likely just outside your campradius, and you're not going to attack until it is inside.

i usually keep my tank campradius a little smaller than my tank's campradius when im not doing a huntertank or manual moving around style hunting.

also, don't forget that if you're using a cwtn tank, you have a campoverlapbuffer that gets used on anyone who is not tagged as puller - so make sure your monk is tagged as puller in your group window, so the cwtn tank (again if you're using one) knows "hey monkiedude is pullin, i'll not try and save em from an untimely death"

i have a feeling if you increase your campradius on your monk a little it'll fix you right up

Thank you for the quick reply @Sic. Camp Radius was my first suspicion as well. But, isn't the max value for that field 100? If I try and enter a value larger than 100, it auto-resets to 100. Additionally, if I look at the map as combat begins, the mob is well within the red circle. Here's a screenshot:

Immediately after taking this screenshot, I tapped auto-attack and he jumped into action. Notice that the distance to the mob in the screenshot is 21.24. As I mentioned, toying with it manually a bit by tapping forward a little, the monk will jump into action is the distance becomes less than about 20 units...despite the fact that the camp radius is set to 100.

the max box input field value is 100, it is unlikely that a person wants larger than 100, but you can change it larger with the slash command.

This does not appear that you have a Main Assist set in your group window, that is giving your monk a target to assist.

Puller assist means "I'm the puller and i'm going to assist the group's MA"

1626392167244.png

That's because I am the MA and Puller. Please see the UI window right under Target of Target.
You're not going to pick a target unless you are in a tank mode.

Are you using a merc? You can't assign them as assist, which is why I imagine you're assigned assist.

You'll probably have to Puller tank, and deal with the fact your monk will try and tank. In front of the mob.

@Sic just to circle back and kinda put this issue to bed...

This problem only seems to manifest when using a merc as MT. I brought in my paladin to the group and set him as the MT and the problem did not reproduce. I suspect that mercs don't initiate an attack call and that these plugins cue off that.

Chalk it up to an edge-case situation. I typically don't like to run mercs...but sometimes they ARE necessary.

Surprised no one has asked this before but is there a way to turn off sitting when returning to camp/waiting for a pull with assist? Nothing screams hey I'm automating report me quite like your melee returning to sit for that 1 hp regen on the early tlps. I've been using kissassist mainly to avoid this but it would be nice to just use the plugin.

Lots of people have asked. The answer is no, if you're in a camp mode you will sit. If you're in a chase/vorpal you sit when the MA sits.

To be clear, the plugins aren't trying to hide anything. They're bots and they will be doing bot like things. There's no plans to adjust the behavior.

exactly like chat said - if you don't want to sit, don't use a mode that sits. you can use vorpal or chase and it will only sit when your MA does, or use manual mode and then then call in for the attack.

they're bots.

Problem with vorpal is they will sometimes run too far away from the original camp. You can get around it by just setting a camp with KA or moveutils , just seems like an awkward way to do it. Thanks for the responses.

Quick question for the experts, I have a monk on TLP pulling for my group so he is in puller assist mode. I am noticing that his epic is not kept up. Is there some setting I might nave screwed up?

MQ2Monk FAQ
we don't automatically use your 1.0, did you add to to addclicky usage?

Love the plugin, use it daily at this point. Working on my trade skills and only need it to pull to specific mobs within the radius in the lowbie zones for mats. So far I've just been going around and manually targeting mobs I don't need and ignoring but this laborious and it would seem the ignore list has a limit. Anyway to tell the plugin to only pull a list of mobs? That would be a great addition.

Thanks!
