Plugin - MQ2Mage 3.1.52471.11

Unfortunately he's f2p so he'll stop at 120 lol. No real rush on the fix though since I rarely run him without a pocket druid, just thought you'd like to know. Thanks as always!

- adjustment to target while MAing or in a tank mode
I think I'm seeing a problem related to this. MA/MT in tank mode keeps trying to reapply Burning Skin (113) when (I assume) it fades after the 4 hits. It will sit and have pet targeted while it waits for the gem to refresh. It seems to happen with all mobs, but is especially prevalent against nameds. Here's a snippet I grabbed, though it has me pausing and unpausing to try and get it to work (and also not die).

ETA: Here's another in case it helps. I wish it had timestamps, but I counted up to about 12 seconds of inactivity between the first Burning Skin and the Time to murder

That isn't related to the changes you mentioned (it didn't have anything to do with buffing or anything like that.

this is just because you have on UseDS, and DS would get recast when it wears off (if it is ready) before most other things. There's nothing that says "don't do anything else", (and we're dont sit down for it).

Can turn off UseSkinDS

the UI does not seem to come up when I put in /buffme displayui I get

do AA buffs work too? cant seem to get the enchanter to do Glyph Spray

Hmm ok roger that. I know you probably get tired of hearing this, but I haven't changed anything (this is first time I've played in a few days) so I'm not sure why this new behavior is happening. I'm also only seeing it on the mage running as tank if that could indicate anything. I have another in vorpal mode with an actual tank and he seems to be behaving fine.

well, we didn't change anything there (with skinDS) - and that sounds like what we're talking about

the thing changed that you quoted had to do with snapping back to a previous npc target during a certain time period manually clicking away - unrelated to SkinDS, pet management, buffing, or anything like that, but i think im now following you about the targeting, and i think there could be a situation where now we're targetting our pet to do something and now we think that is the mob we're supposed to fight

lemme try and test it and i'll work on cleaning that up.

Yeah of course, always happy to help! I think we get our wires crossed sometimes cause the programmer in me tries to help diagnose when I should really just describe what I’m seeing and let you handle it. Apologies and will try to do better with that in the future.

Great plugins! Thank you for what you do.

I've been running 4 mages / enc / clr with CWTN plugins for awhile now. 1 Mage is set as tank, all other characters set as assist. Starting yesterday the mage set as tank doesn't cast when the mob enters camp, he just sends pet and casts DS. MQ2 and plugins are updated as of a few minutes ago and match EQ version. I've unloaded and reloaded the plugin, even restarted my computer and relaunched EQ. I've changed the mage set as tank, same thing. Not using BYOS. Mob is definitely within camp radius. Use Nuke is on. Use fire and magic are both on. Fire spells are scribed. Plugin is not on pause. If I nuke manually the assist mobs engage but if I stop casting then they stop casting too, except the cleric who keeps healing. INI is attached. Any ideas please?

Sorry if this is in the wrong spot but was not sure where to put it. Have been using the mage plug in for some time and love it and how it works. Today for some reason while playing he stopped summoning his pet clickies and paradox clickies and he wont camp out. I can hit camp and the program will pause and he will sit but then he stands up in like 5 seconds. Have tried out of group and in group and same issue. I have to /exit to get him out of the game. His box (/mage show) is also setting back to default spot as well. I updated the game, updated the plug in, unloaded and loaded the plugin again and it is still not changing anything. Any insight would be appreciated and thank you again for some amazing plug ins.

Currently running SK, Pal, chanter, zerk, rog, wiz, sham, drud, cleric, mage all at the same time on same comp and all the others are working perfect, I would be running MQ2Bard if it was out.
 
you should probably post under the mage plugin to make sure more users see it.

Each resource on RG has an Overview / Discussion Thread and either a link to their wiki or tabs with FAQ, Commands, Etc.
Please make sure to post in the respective discussion thread, and check the FAQ/Commands/Wiki for information before posting.

mq2mage actually pauses you when you camp out - and won't unpause unless you do something to "abandon your camp". so there's nothing mq2mage is doing to cause that - but you might have *other stuff* doing things, like autoforage, or conflicting Lua/macro/other stuff
 
Yes it did/does but now after a few seconds it un pauses and stands back up. When i go to load my pet gear spells from saved spell set he will get maybe 1 memd then stand up and i have to click the spell set again to get them to start loading again. its very odd. Only Lua i use on him is /cauldron, will turn off forage and see if thats it

we only unpause if you abandon your camp. which is when eq says "You abandon your preparations to camp." we don't unpause you for any other reason.

so something is causing you to abandon your camp, not mq2mage.

re: loading your spells - you need to pause / byos / whatever - we would also post that we're changing spells.

I don't know what cauldron is, but you should start there.

re: your ui "resetting" all imgui locations are stored in your macroquest.

I haven't been able to find it if it is there, but is there an option to toggle pet taunt while using this? It seems to always keep it off.

you need to have pettaunttoggle turned on. and then if you're tanking (tanking mode or assigned as group maintank) you'll turn on taunt - or if your group MA is dead you'll turn on taunt
 
I'm not sure why but my mages are not casting Thaumatize Pet at all. It's listed on the abilities list but will never be cast when loaded, even with no mana. Would be really nice to have this fixed.

well, we haven't made any changes or adjustments to that since i added it in october 2021

you need to be byos (or otherwize memorized), you need to not be invis or have a camp set, you need to not have any mobs on xtarget, and you need to not have the buff (and it stacks)

I dont see any reason if it worked previously, that it would no longer. I'll take a look at it sometime soon - but pretty low priority

Little misleading. I thought my subscription included what this site had to offer.
all the cwtn plugins are included with your lvl 2 subscription for the test server build, so you're welcome to us them there with your level 2 sub. can you show where you think something implied "... subscription included what this site had to offer"?

There is no statement of additional cost for certain content nor is it implied... Full access to me means exactly that, full access. I like most people have no interest playing on the test server so that means nothing. By all means add it to your pricing to allow people to know they are getting partial access.

It is posted in the FAQ for MQ2Mage that you need to buy a license:

Q. Where do I download it?
A. MQ2Mage is now rull release, so you must purchase a license for live server usage. For test server it is included in your lvl 2 RedGuides subscription. Use the launcher, and it will download automatically. then just load it in game /plugin mq2mage load
 
The website is. It was asked where it said or implied full access to everything on this website and I provided it.
Redguides didn't create the resource. Redguides gives you access to it. It's up to you to purchase it or play on test. /shrug
 
Hi All,
I noticed that my mage is not auto accepting a 90% rez but my other toons (mq2war,mq2enchater,mq2shaman) do auto accept the 90% rez. I did not see a setting for accepting a rez. Any suggestions on what to check that might be causing this for my mage?

MQ2rez controls that, not MQ2mage. Your post will be moved, but EQ button, MQ button, MQ2 rez, lets you set % and time delay.
