Plugin - MQ2Mage (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

I am using NEXT
CWTN Mage seems to be having an issue for me
... was running smoothly after XPAC Launch.... then I updated again on the 10th, and updated my plugins .
Since then Mage does this:
Cast
opens bag from green to brown

Grant Yalrek's Armaments​

opens bag from green to brown
tries to give pet a summoned silver shorts word and the sword stays in the GIVE window ultimately until I click give myself,,, and then tries to give the second one and same thing.
This happens on all pets until I have given all pets weapons MAGE does nothing

I must add I have 2 Mages.
I did not update RG till after 1st mage had hit 118 and had spell

I have had no problems on that mage, so maybe that has something to do with it(the level??)
mage with problem has not yet reached 118, still level 117 so still using level 113 spell
 
My mage keeps casting Restless Symbiosis over and over. I have even blocked the spell but still casts it.
can you screen snip me both your mq2mage window saying you're casting it and your blocked buff spells showing specifically the name of your blocked buffs?

I was not wanting to subscribe yet on my mage but I did and that fixed it. it is no longer casting it constantly. I have Rk. II spells when subbed but not when I am silver. I am having a similar problem with my rogue but will post in that section.

ah. yeah that is an issue with MQ atm, it is going to happen on any toons that are silver with rank 2 abilities unfortunately we have an open issue > here < for the MQ devs (not that it helps you, but just know that we know about it)

and thanks for the follow up (and for offering to post the rogue thing in the rogue thread) - we do know about the issue so no need to write it up there

since this might be getting lost in the thread.

the "stuck on handing out weapons" thing is fixed next rebuild. as well as other stuff

MQ2Mage -
- Handle duplicate spell name for Scorching Skin.
- Should no longer get stuck handing out weapons.
- Added Grant Shak Dathor's Armaments - and its weapons.
-- While the spell itself was added we didn't have the details on which weapon was which ID's so could add the use of them.
-- Thanx random person for summoning me a bag - Because nobody has updated the info about this spell and what it summons.
 
Current situation: i have UsePetWeapons option on. That works fine, however, it keeps getting stuck on handing tyhem to pets in my grp, as in it awaits the receiver to click Trade. Is that an autoaccept issue ?

My Q2mage was working fine but somehow I lost the window that allows me to set her to things like chase.

you likely either
a: need to reload your UI (which would have been said in your mq2 window)
or b: do a /mag show from the > MQ2Mage Commands Tab <


Also obligatory "You should upgrade to macroquest 'Next'" > Guide Here < as we're only doing updates for MacroQuest "Next" > as stickied here <

I just purchased MQ2Mage do I have to do something special to get it to show up in Next? My other CWTN plug-ins are here but when I refresh not the mage.
 
noticed todaymage is continually memming and dememming spells...going from exothermic veil...to armaments...throw in a COH there to and back....plugin has been great till I saw this today
 
didnt thikn I had but I m open to anything right now...I restarted the pc gonna go in again ...thanks for the sounding board.
well considering we don't memorize coh, then yup, definitely sounds like you're running a macro.
 
Spellbook stuck opened blocking dps once a while

About once per our ish one of my mages doesn't close the spellbook and stops dps'ing.
When closing the spellbook manually the mage proceeds doing well.
During the last 3 ours I had to close mages spellbooks 4 times (3 mages in the team).
For me this feels like new behavior since last update of the plugin.
Any idea what I might change to improve?

would make sure you don't have anything weird going on with your background toons while they're in the background. there's a mention of this in the FAQ, but should mostly be a near-non issue with using framelimiter in next. so if you're not using frame limiter you should. > MQ2Mage FAQ <

We haven't made any adjustments or changes to our "is our book open" checks in quite some time - the background frame issue was a huge problem that caused a lot of headache

activated "Draw game UI at simulation rate" in the frame-limiter. Will report back if that feels to make a difference.
 
My mage keeps summoning weapons bags and trying to give them to my Chanter's charmed pets - but when the charmed pet refuses them, he inventories them to the point that his bags are full of summoned weapons. Is there a way to turn this off or make it more controllable?

Without turning off PetWeapons, I mean.

Q. MQ2Mage is trying to give a charmed pet a weapon, but it won't accept it
A. You will want to turn on /mag SelfPetWeaponsOnly on to only do your pet.

The activated "Draw game UI at simulation rate" in the frame-limiter didn't change behavior.

After keeping an close eye to the mages behavior I noticed that they battled over the group-ds, as any mage wanted to have their "Circle of emberweave coat" to be the one active.
This caused a lot of memming of this spell and others in the swap-spellslot.
I deactivated DS on 2 of the 3 mages and it seemed to have imroved the locks, but did not solve the problem.

Finally I stopped cauldron.Lua with "/Lua stop cauldron" on all mages.
From that moment, I didn't see any of the mages keeping their spellbook open.
Despite there is no need to mem spells to use cauldron, the long casttime of the cauldron seems to be the reason, that once a while a mage got stuck and kept their spellbook open.
The last 90 minutes there was no problem anymore, maybe just a too short timeframe to be sure, that this solved the problem finally.

Is there something like a "me.casting" condition issued before attemting to mem another spell?
Does anyone else use cauldron.Lua while farming stuff?

1000% if you're running something else that is doing other things that mq2mage isn't trying to do, you can and will run into conflicting behavior.

If I naturally go outside the camp radius while hunting , the mage will stop casting spells and only melee, it won't have the pet attack with 100% certainty either. Is there a way to increase the camp radius beyond 100 or to match it to that of the hunter pull radius(typically 500-1000 for my current usage)?

Plugin works fine in group in various modes but sometimes I like to go out in the world and farm. This is trivial content btw 80-85 as a 115 mage.
I noticed this with MQ2Shaman roughly a year ago (haven't tested since ) but no issues with MQBst/Eskay/war/zerk/rog while using the same parameters where applicable (I assume it is caster functionality as has been mentioned)

well 2 things

campradius != radius (which is your pull radius)

you can increase your campradius more than 100 with the slash command

but it sounds like you're mixing things up.

you *probably* don't want a 100 camp. use 45 or 60.

adjust your "radius" which is your "pull radius" to the appropriate value you want

your blue circle (radius) is the area you will hunt in.

well to be clear.

you WILL go outside of the radius you think you are setting with your campradius. as you are not actually setting a camp, but you DO use that distance. which is why i don't think you want a 100+ campradius, and why i mention you might be confused. if you're not confused then perhaps you're just wrong =p

you will roam in the radius (blue circle) radius. as that is your pullradius.

well there are some times and circumstances where you would be able to have empty slots depending on settings.

also, are you missing spells?

what lvl are you, and are you missing spells?

what are your settings.
