just took my mage out to a place for easy demonstration.

tried multiple non-manual modes and manual mode

all worked as expected.

ensure your campradius is large enough for you to start doing stuff, since you're a caster and you're, for some reason, out trying to solo - set it to something like 100.

if you are using sic-tank (so you can keep heal memorized) ensure that as you move around you are utilizing the resetcamp functionality to move your camp to your new location you would like to sic-tank at.

or if you are planning on staying in manual mode, you can be assigned as group main tank and you will consider yourself "tanking" and memorize your pet heal spell.

I also did things in manual mode, just to cover all of the bases. when we're in a mode that doesn't have a camp (vorpal or manual mode) we use distance from the tank (or in this case our pet since we're MA) to the mob instead of the campradius.

Please do your testing in a lower level zone.

Once you get the scenario that you want working, move back to whatever zone you want.

this is the same as one of the first things i asked about you being familiar with the plugins and understood how they would work for the scenario you're trying to use it in.

it is definitely a good idea to set situated in somewhere a little more trivial than new content using gear/spells/stuff from previous content.

and iirc, they said during beta that pets won't have their normal increase in power until january or later - so you have extra, additional challenges ahead of you for doing this.

My phone was acting up I read over your things and I am working on finding what works for me
 
Just noticed that when the mage goes to hand weapons to pets it is not auto trading any longer. this is on MQnext fyi. Didn't know if it was just on my end.

hrm, haven't noticed any issues here

so you're handing a weapon to a pet and then it just sits there in the trade window?


you appear to have just started using next. make sure you get your framelimiter setup correctly and such

Yes that is correct. Maybe this will correct itself when I restart my computer. Will let you know the outcome.
not sure, we didn't change anything with the way we hand out items. I know some folks have been reporting some server issues, so possibly related? Are you experiencing any server lag? or other performance issues. I know dromel mentioned yesterday on a very laggy server getting stuck in his spell book, which shouldn't happen

but i'll see if i can replicate it and see if we can find a work around

No lag or performance issues here. Everything running is running like before using mqnext and frame limiter with your recommendations set at 60fps.
 
I just tried this on Rizlona, level 70 mage. Killed my pet, it resummoned another, initiated a trade but the trade window just stayed up. Hit give manually, it did the same for the second weapon.

unsure of timeframe to fix, but it will require a rebuild (obviously) so unsure of the fix and or timeline on rebuild atm

Gem #1 Spear of Molting Arcronite (110), Looks like Bolt of Molted Olivine (116) would be better DPS
Gem#6 Shock of Burning Steel (112), Komatiite Bolt (113) almost dbl the dmg
Gem#9 Scorching Skin (73), Burning Skin (113)

On the off chance these were simply missed. I bring this up.

yup I found out - we were working on some deprecations and next updates, and it appears one of our changes actually made everything stop when doing a trade instead of how it is supposed to function. this is why "nothing was changed" for pet weapons was true, and why i wasn't having any hand out issues :)

edited for clarity.

you can byos to use any plugin the spell says it has. so if you would prefer a different lineup than the one provided, you can use memorize and do that.

This isn’t a new expansion spell issue for the skin. It’s a 73 spell over a 113 TOV spell. I’m just confirming that I’m seeing the same thing.

yup it is because they are named the same thing (the 73 and 113 spell) and unfortunately we don't have a solution for it at this time.
 
@SgtRonin sorry for linking you the spell thing. I've answered that at least a half dozen times in the last hour.

if you want to use a different spell lineup than the plugin uses, you can byos and it will use any spell the plugin reports that it will use.

regarding the 73 vs 116 - dbg, in their infinite wisdom, has a few spells this xpac that are repeats of previous spell names. that is why it is memorizing the wrong one, because that's the first one we find

I understand how frustrating it is for you guys, getting hit with same questions. Sorry for that.
Yup aware of the BYOS feature, was trying to up everybodys DPS. Wasn't trying to upset folks.
The skin is spell gem #9 is a different issue since i am only lvl 116 it shouldn't be trying to load the 118 spell for me. So just figured it would be loading the lvl 113 spell Burning Skin. No worries i can fix that with BYOS as well. But I did not believe that is how you intended for the program to work. So again, trying to help, and made folks angry. Was not my intention, Sorry Sic.

Can’t you delete spells in the spell book? If so delete the lvl 73 spell from the book and it should resolve your issue until a better fix is in place?

If you can’t delete spells out of the spell book /curse EQ devs.

yup, because it finds the scorching skin above the burning skin, but the scorching skin is 73, i don't think you're understanding what i'm saying, but it is alright, we understand the problem and are looking to solve it.
 
Just got this plugin it does not seem to summon the 116 or the 117 pets am I doing something wrong?
 
do you have the correct pet selected? for example, if you have earth pet selected, it will cast the highest level pet you have, which wont be the air or water etc

hmmm it works fine on my mage, i selected the air pet (the first one we get) and it summons his lvl 116 air pet
 
If you had selected use highest pet, maybe that was it, i specify the pet type i want. Can be only thing i can think of?

I just levelled to 118 and got my new pet weapon spell. But my mage will not summon the weapons for my pet or for others. I rebooted and all. I am using MQNext. Not sure what other details to give.
yup, it will be in next update.
 
Just got this plugin it does not seem to summon the 116 or the 117 pets am I doing something wrong?

b: please make sure to take a moment and check the annoncements and stickied threads
c: it appears that up to your post this morning you were still on mq2 legacy and you were not using the new spells because youw ere not on next and didn't read the stickied announcement made about tol and new spells

I am using NEXT
CWTN Mage seems to be having an issue for me
... was running smoothly after XPAC Launch.... then I updated again on the 10th, and updated my plugins .
Since then Mage does this:
Cast
opens bag from green to brown

Grant Yalrek's Armaments​

opens bag from green to brown
tries to give pet a summoned silver shorts word and the sword stays in the GIVE window ultimately until I click give myself,,, and then tries to give the second one and same thing.
This happens on all pets until I have given all pets weapons MAGE does nothing

I must add I have 2 Mages.
I did not update RG till after 1st mage had hit 118 and had spell

I have had no problems on that mage, so maybe that has something to do with it(the level??)
mage with problem has not yet reached 118, still level 117 so still using level 113 spell
