Sooo.. I feel dumb asking but I tried following the instructions to download this for the test server and I cannot find the “release” folder anywhere. Any further advice or instructions as to how to find it? Please don’t hit me!! **ducks**
MQ2->Release

your release folder is the "main" folder that has all "the goods" in it

this is the folder with all the .dlls like mq2autoloot.dll


My personal Release folder is E: -> VV Live -> Release, all the .dll files go into that release folder (not macros, not mq2nav, not configs, etc)

I do not know, if you all have noticed, but when I turned /mag useskinds off and /mag useveilds off, My overall dps went +100 dps per mage.
So, definately, do not use em, if you got more than one mage, atleast.

Thank you! I turned /mag useskinds off and it was a large dps increase. Veil seems to hold on the MT long enough to not make a noticeable dps loss, would almost be better as a downtime buff to cast.

Gem 6 - VeilDS will get replaced with Firebound group if it's off. Meaning you can resummon new orbs mid combat. With UseVeilDS on, you have to wait until combat is finished to summon new ones. Which it can fail to do if you get new combat before it's memorized a new one.
UseSkinDS would only matter for the time it takes to cast as if we aren't using SkinDS there isn't currently anything that will replace that gem slot.

Personally I run with SkinDS, VeilDS, Minion, and Servant off.

I’ve used this on my 115 mage and my alt group which has 3 level 30 mages. So far so good! I prefer to use kiss or RGmercs for handing out pet gear because it handles weapons and gear for the group but otherwise 9/10.
 
Just thought I'd give some feed back here. Is there anyway to remove Agro weapons from the roster of weapons given? They usually tend to be situation specific. Also can you add the summoned mask to the line up of gear given out to other pets? I know that since mage pets don't need the masks this might be a bit difficult to program in, just an idea.

excluding the aggro pet weapons unless you're pet tanking is probably something we can do - but its a "long term" thing, and not something we're going to address right now - like mentioned, there's no specificity for the weapons. I'll talk with chat later today and see if he has an issue with just not using the hate swords for the time being.

cwtn has said he doesn't plan on us doing other jewelry and items, but that may change - again if that is a thing, it would be a down-the-road type thing
 
Been using it for a few days. AWESOME!! if I can add a suggestion, is it possible to add Pet Pull? Just an idea. I know zero things about programming so... just suggestion.

nah, we won't be adding pet pulling to any of the plugins, likely ever, but at least not any time soon.
 
Haven't been able to find a way to turn off pet heals, my cleric keeps up with that easily and would rather the mana for nukes? A toggle on/off for pet heals?

Thanks this plugin is very nice!

P.S a pet tank mode in the drop down would be awesome so the mage doesnt rush in to close to mob your killing.

Sounds like you have the mage assigned as main tank or are in a tanking mode.
Yes it is in tank mode because I use my pet as the group tank, although when in tank mode the mage jumps in and will melee even with it disabled in the UI and with a command of /mag UseMelee false. To be fair many Mages wont be tanking at higher levels.

As mentioned in a few places and the faq, you should turn off usemelee and use stick if you're trying to pet tank. We don't currently have anything special for "pet tanking" so with usemelee and usestick turned on, you're going to get all up in their bizness

And currently there is no value adjustments for the petheal (will probably be in next live build)

I have Meleeoff through the UI and by command yet it still uses melee. Even tried /assist off and he still melee engages, I have to back him up after engaging so he starts casting again and wont start with melee. I use the cleric and eskay plugins they are start them up and forget about it, this plugin works well but I have to constantly babysit and move mage after engagement.

we only send in pet when we go to do stuff - which all happens in your campradius, so there is no reason for a pet attack distance.

Just trying to be helpful with input. Would love to see this plugin work as well for me as cleric and eskay.

so idk if its going to be an update but using the "shock of" line of spells that procts steel vengence seem like a missed out dps. the steel vengeance line of aa when maxed procs a 74K nuke off of the spell case from the shock of line of spells

you'll need to be more specific on which DS specifically, as a: i don't know which one you're talking about, and b: we already check stacking on it.

do you mean SkinDS (which has a toggle), VeilDS (which has a toggle), DSGroupCircle, or DSSingle?

igneous skin, the 110 group Damage sheild that lasts for two hours, is that toggled by SkinDS?

nah, the "SkinDS" line has as toggle like i mentioned earlier the DSGroupCirlce and DSSingle do not. When you load the plugin it tells you what spells are in what group

the SkinDS line is the "Burning Skin", "Blistering Skin" etc

Igneous skin is from the DSGroupCirlce "Circle of Igneous Skin"

MQ2 must be giving back stacking information, at this time my best suggestion is either a: go byos on your lower lvl dude, or b: block the lower lvl spell on folks

Not sure if its MQ2Mage related but If I use find and I hit a wall (Sirens Grotto otw to WW) there is NO control I can't move my toon at all Ive been useing mq2eskay and mq2rogue for a while and hasn't been an issue. seems since I started usine mq2mage is when I started experianceing this issue I had to do /unload to gain control as /mqp or anything else I tried had any effect But I have been waiting on MQ2Mage for a long time and will def $$$ it

no, that is mq2nav (the navigation) and easyfind (the easy finding).

/mqp won't do anything, because /mqp is to pause a running macro, since you're not running a macro, and the macro isn't the one doing the running at the time anyhow, mqp won't help.

you can adjust your "break behavior" in mq2nav
/nav ui to open your nav tools
then settings tab
then "break behavior"
i use "stop navigation"

you can also make yourself some hotkeys to stop all novement be it, stick, follow, moveto, nav, or advpath

When you use find and then get stuck you have to /nav stop to regain control. It has nothing to do with any of the class plugins.

So, Has something changed recently? I used to be able to just use the down arrow to stop the auto navigation although when useing follow me I have had the same no controll issues at times
Although a Minor issue can sometimes be a PITA aka dead toons :)

did you change your break behavior like i suggested?
or did you create the hotkeys like i shared so you can stop any and all movement?
 
Added this to my watch list, but it does not appear in my plugins list. Is there a direct download, or what am i doing wrong?

To stop Follow Me you do /afollow off from the character following. This isn't a recent change.
 
Any chance this will be available for the Emu build?
yes

emu gets built less frequently than live/test do as there are much fewer reasons to rebuild them. when emu gets rebuilt it will have mage in it - looks like last emu build was 4-28
