Quick Question, What would keep me from being able to turn Switchwitma on, only have an issue in MQ2Mage. Every time I try to Click the check box it auto unclicks

it reports out in your mq2mage window that there is not an option to turn off switchwithma.
it resets it to "off" because it doesn't actually use the switchwithma logic, but it will always re-acquire the MA's target

as of the patch notes i've posted in a couple places, it will be removed from the window if you either download the newest version in this thread or wait until VV updates and download that.

hey Sic and CWTN, you guys are doing an amazing job reacting to bugs/suggestions and getting patches out super fast. Imagine if the bugs in EQ were fixed this fast!

I'm already a convert to mq2mage. Absolutely Loving it

I imagine with EQ patching is a bit more complicated as EQ is millions of lines of code and they keep adding new people to the team who have to learn the code base. I figure at most we have to go through about 15k lines of code for any given plugin, and typically we know where things are based on information provided in the bug reports which makes it a lot faster to get to the area of code we need to look at and make changes to. Not to mention we're the original coders of the plugins, so not only do we know the code, we also know the thought process behind pretty much every line of it.
 
Current version won't cast if it finds an item in the same lore group on your person or in your bank. It's good to have a list of things for people to check if it's not casting though :-)

I have not tried the latest version Sic posted today, but I am wondering if, by what you said Chat, that it would help to have a message that states something like:

"You have a Lore item already and 'summon-item' spell will not cast because of it, please delete xxx-Lore item"
 
Not sure at any of the difficulty involved in having it say that item name/ID, but what about it just letting you know a generic message? What I'm trying to get at is that if the spell does not cast and I am never aware that the spell will not cast, will I forever but at a loss from the lore item being cast and used.
Another possibility, can the plugin just use up in battle 9or downtime) whatever lore item I do have (lets say a level 80 spell item sitting in a bag) and then since it was used and gone, cast the newest level spell (lets say level 100 item). In that way it auto catches me back up to have the newest lore type item always available?
 
You would end up getting told many many times a minute that you have an item already.

Same with using an item you don't need to use. We're not going to do that.

These sound like solutions in search of a problem.

These summoned items are temporary items that disappear after being logged out a period of time.
 
Thanks for the update Sic, Second Wind is working perfectly and Servant of Ro is working as it should during a burn.

did you try turning on useaoe? it already has some aoe stuff in there.
 
So I am not sure what is causing the issue however I notice that when the plugin is running great, spells fire off back to back with little delay. On the other hand there are times it runs very sluggish with 1-2 seconds between spells firing. I notice it happens more in raid then group settings. YES I know these aren't optimized for raids however I would like to figure out what is causing this. I've noticed the same issue occurs on the shaman. Things ive tried to fix the issue have been, reloading the plugin in combat, using a /reload in game, clearing target and retargeting, changing plugin mode and more. I looked through the INI thinking there might be some sort of delay/pulse setting but was unable to locate one. Also, before it suspected to be user error, computer related and/or internet related.... I've tested this with other who also have the same issue, live in completely different parts of the county with obviously different isp/computers. Sadly its an intermittent error so its hard to reproduce on demand thus making troubleshooting even more difficult. If there is anything I can do to assist in troubleshooting or aiding you to address this please let me know.

What is your NukeManaMin in relation to your mana?

It sounds like you're getting to NukeManaMin and it's not doing anything until mana regen gives you enough mana to do something else.

Possible computer resource issue? You running with spell effects on etc? Being in a raid with everyone doing their thing vs just your group could be overloading??
 
Ok, so i ran this in tofs and velk for hours yesterday and i worked like a charm, bloody brilliant work you´ve done here guys.
But i have a question, i read every post in this thread and i havent seen this adressed before, but i may have missed it, but, does it summon food and water? I have´nt seen it do so but it may have spammed away, the mq2clr and mq2bst summons food and drink, or aelast has the option? Not the biggest issue of course, just wondering.
And again, very good job on this plugin, i like it a lot, and the other plugins too of course.

Possible computer resource issue? You running with spell effects on etc? Being in a raid with everyone doing their thing vs just your group could be overloading??
Unlikely as I mentioned in post my computer is very high end and often times run 12+ copies of the game at one time with no slowdown and using only about 20% of computers resources. Also as I mentioned it happens to friends that also use plugin on their own machines.

I havent seen it on Mage yet, but my MQ2SK and MQ2BST start to lag after several hours (18-24 accounts, 3 sks, 2 bst).. A reloadui clears it.. havent seen it on the 3 mages yet (clocked 8hrs fri, 10 hour sat, and 5 hours sun)..

a couple of people have reported an issue with pet classes on a couple of servers (but not all) which is unrelated to the class plugins, but related to certain classes that spit out swarm pets / have pets. I wonder if this is what you're experiencing.

without more information of the specific circumstances on what you're describing, and without you putting limitations on the responses that cwtn and I can give you - it is pretty tough to help you.

random ideas that adhere to the limitations you put on the possible reasons/responses:
is it possible you're still under a burn condition? something like improved twincast is up, but you're waiting on spell refreshes?
is it possible the mob is outside of your campradius?
is it possible that you have the wrong Raid MA set, and are not getting a mob?
is it possible that your RAMA is changing targets, like a paladin targeting someone to heal?

question that possibly breaks one of your rules:
and are you *sure* it is not the macro that you're running pausing mq2mage to do other stuff?

We won't (at least at this time, possibly ever) do the Gift of Zev / Gift of Daybreak because then we'll need to deal with the summoned pack etc

How will character nuke in manual mode? Any command similiar to /nuke start or /nuke stop which are commands of mq2afnuke
no, it still nukes in manual mode based on your campradius distance, your autoassistat settings and your MA etc

@Sic I am open to trying anything to assist but I was trying to give some information that its not isolated to one machine, user, isp etc. Nothing more.

1. is it possible you're still under a burn condition? something like improved twincast is up, but you're waiting on spell refreshes? - When it starts it keeps going on for a long time. Once it starts it tends to keep going for awhile. I believe its unlikely its waiting for a spell as it does it on MQ2Shaman at times too and no twincast is involved.
2. is it possible the mob is outside of your campradius? - I have my campradius set to 500 on mage and 200 on shaman. The mobs im fighting are well within that radius.
3. is it possible that you have the wrong Raid MA set, and are not getting a mob? - On raids I run a full group and I dont use raidmode, I have my own toon set to MA and as such im my own group MA.
4. is it possible that your RAMA is changing targets, like a paladin targeting someone to heal? - As per #3, I am the MA on a pure melee that doesnt switch targets so no.
5. are you *sure* it is not the macro that you're running pausing mq2mage to do other stuff? - It happens when im not using macro as well as when I do use macro. I believe you have seen the code and it is based off Reacts so the macro is only running for about 30sec when mana is low. Otherwise its turned off.

I only ask because the recourse is 225 mana regen increase. (Ha ok i got lucky getting the highest possible regen)

anything that gets updated/added will be responded to and in the patch notes if/when they get added
but no, as of this time, no, it'll get added for byos, but i don't think at this time, we intend to memorize/cast it, as with all things, stuff might change.

I do not know, if you all have noticed, but when I turned /mag useskinds off and /mag useveilds off, My overall dps went +100 dps per mage.
So, definately, do not use em, if you got more than one mage, atleast.
 
I don't have more than one mage in a group, maybe I should try it. But would it not be beneficial to have one mage still have those on, while 2nd or 3rd have them off? Is the bonus due to alliance type spells or the swarm bonus? I'd like to learn more if anyone could explain it out.
 
I think it is off from casting everything else, due global cooldowns. Spell itself is fast to cast, but the global cool is taking time, so, no direct damage is casted meanwhile. and there you go. Lost dps. and this thing is casted multiple times on one fight. 4 charges. not mentioning the another one...
 
That's why some things have toggle options. So you can turn them on and off
 
Sooo.. I feel dumb asking but I tried following the instructions to download this for the test server and I cannot find the “release” folder anywhere. Any further advice or instructions as to how to find it? Please don’t hit me!! **ducks**
