You under estimate my ability to leave a game untouched for years and the effectiveness of blowing all the dust out of the cartridge. The real trick was putting it just on the edge and slamming it down like a rugged piece of steel (as opposed to a sensitive electronic cartridge)

Q. I am having a lore-group issue with a summoned item.
A. Currently we don't have a way of checking "do i have an item from this lore group that is different than the version of the spell i have". So if you summon an item, then get a new rank on your ability, you're going to try and summon a new one without regard for the new item. Hopefully this is something we can resolve, but in the mean-time it is what it is, unfortunately.

I don't think this is an MQ2Mage issue, I have had issues with this even in KA, even right now i have UseParadox turned off and its still casting it over and over. it's getting stuck in a Sub with the pet buffing and giving weapons, even restarting runs it back to the top of the sub and gets stuck in the tail of the sub. Also noticed once pet weapons handed out the bag didn't get deleted, I lost a spell because it auto bagged into it when i was trying to delete :bang:

Apologies this didn't post last night... probably fell asleep reading it over... it was like after 2am...
 
It is an MQ2Mage issue. Sic wrote a solution to the lore group items, then I rewrote it to extend functionality since initial reports. Was a matter of finding the information we needed and beating it into submission. That isn't to say other things don't also have this issue. Just that it's an issue in the plugin and just because other things have the issue, doesn't mean it's not an us issue in this case. For things that aren't yet solved, when possible, we try to solve it.

Re: UseParadox, doesn't do that to me. can anyone else get this to happen?
Re: deleting bags. We don't delete bags, read some of the posts where I discuss this earlier today for details.

well I did get the Wand to quit casting by putting it in weapon slot instead of inventory. sent pic spell still being kept memmed with paradox being unchecked

The deleting bags is the summoned bags, it's part of the routine of giving summoned items to pets and then they get deleted, all but the weapons summoned bags were deleted as expected. sorry if wasn't clear on this, I am going back over to relook at other posts as I must of missed.

you are literally running a macro in this image. your mq2 output window is from a macro of some kind.
 
Also, before someone says something. The plugin does not delete items. So if you summon a bag of weapons, then the bag itself will remain even if we use all the weapons.

If we do consider specific weapons from the bag of weapons later on down the line, we won't destroy the excess weapons either.

The idea that some bug could potentially destroy something important to a player makes me take a step back from destroying items.

I did find your post... so with this in mind, it's only half true, the summoned bag of armor did delete, the summoned bag of weapons did not delete... but it also still had weapons in the bag, armor bag was empty... I'll see if can get it to repeat tonight and screen capture it. (In KA the bags would delete upon dispensing the items to pet, remembering that if pet dies and you re-summon pet, the equipping process starts over)

you are running a macro. as i mentioned in your post before this.

We don't delete your items. nor do we summon armor

uhmmmm.... I told you when i came back to play i can and will find ways to break things.. I was wondering if some how someway KA is still running while MQ2mage is running?

kissassist is a macro
mq2mage is a plugin

you can run multiple plugins and 1 .mac macro at a time.

you should *not* run a class automating plugin like mq2mage while trying to run another automation suite like kissassist as you *will* have conflicting behavior and it becomes impossible to give you support - especially since you're saying mq2mage is doing stuff that kissassist is doing.

Drak, hit /end , as it looks like you may be running KA and that is what is deleting the armor bags. I don't think you broke anything (yet). Just two things controlling your character .
 
So I tried it out last night (and still going today), For a Version .10 you guys are doing great. I used a level 100 that was not geared up and missing lots and lots of spells. So I ported around and gathered some and happily saw MQ2Mage update things and mem the new spells and cast buffs and items and weapons and such, each new expansion the mage would go unmem old versions nd rem mem new spells. Worked good. The lore items (as you mentioned) were needing manual deletion to fix the forever casting routine, but simple enough to fix. My guy is a FTP, so while I DID see a bonus to his damage, he's still limited a lot. I'll do more testing on a Gold 113 later. I would like a deletion of the weapons and bags.. but I think I understand not wanting to deal with those potential issues, and I was happily surprised at something I had always wondered if was possible: opening the weapons bag WITHOUT needing to put that bag in an open primary slot (JOY) ! Some macros and plugins do that type thing so I had been curious. I would like to put in a request for that only Fire, Ice and the third damage proc weapon are only used to give out to pets and group pets. A minor but nice dream request would be to have a choice to say give him one fire and one ice sword...:P ( I know, I know)

Update - This might be an issue with my enchanter using chaotic(mq2enchanter) - I turned it off and don't have the issue anymore

yes, for live it is active as a pre-release
as mentioned in a couple spots - test hasn't be rebuilt yet - so once test has been rebuilt, it will be live there too

2. nah isn't this the explode pet thing? prolly cool in era, but doubt its super useful for 115 - but we'll look into it
3. every sending of a pet includes a pet swarm
 
@Medicman if you are meaning on Test Server, see what Sic said above, or if you are asking is it in a beta trial on Live servers--the answer is yes it is, you do not see it on your plugin list on the launcher because it is still in beta and only will show in that list once it goes to a paid format. To access it right now, just log on your mage and type /plugin mq2mage load

I worded it poorly, once chaotic deception is cast by the enchanter (above), the mage's swarm pets (both Host of Elements or Riotous Servant) won't engage the mob again and stand around. This is normal and requires the "/pet swarm" command.

Thanks for the other update also.

well the mages are only going to send in their swarm pets if their pet gets sent in.

so if their pet was backed off from a mob being mezzed, then the swarm pets will get resent when the pet does.

we're cant just spam /swarm pet non-stop 24/7
 
Is there some kind of mode with PetTank in this plugin? Every tank mode I put it in the mage its self will not melee anymore(since I turned it off) but it still sticks to the target with a greater risk of getting 1 rounded in higher level zones. Sometimes the pet wont engage and the Mage just nukes, for this to work I need the Pet to engage right away. Any advice?

well at least in the meantime - if you're in a tank mode you're going to tank. as its not adjusted for "pet tanking mode" at this time. - its just "Tank Mode" currently, meaning you want to be in front of the mob, and attacking and doing tanking type things.

so I would either a: not use a tank mode for the time being, or b: turn on usemelee, and get used to being up in the mobs face - you could also try turning off usestick and see if that helps resolve your situation for the time being.

Just loaded it up and she will not stop casting Grant Icebound Paradox. How do I get her to stop? Tried deleting all the mod rods in her bags, but it put them back and will not stop casting.
 
@Medicman, it probably means you have another Grant Paradox line item in your bags. Those items are Lore, so delete it if you have one. Then your mage will use the newest level version you have available.

if is definitely worth looking at FAQ, just like with the other plugins. It is very likely that if you have an issue with 10 seconds of loading the plugin, it isn't a "your fault" situation. In this case we knew this ahead of time, and was one of the first things added to the FAQ before the plugin was even available as pre-release. Its mentioned several times in this thread, as well as has been corrected for next live update. I stayed up pretty late last night solving the situation, and then chat spent a good chunk of the day expanding it to allow future usage for other items / situations.

        - You should no longer give up on buffing if you don't have a pet, and don't have reagents to summon one.
        - Add Symbiosis line to slap your pet around in exchange for mana.

Tried that, she casts 2 other mod rods then starts casting paradox and won't stop. Going to see if I can find out how to turn it off. I did a FIND from inventory window and I can find nothing that would cause her to be seeing it or any other item like it. I search Paradox, Icebound, and Sliver and there is nothing like it in her inventory or bank. Don't know.
 
You also want to check housing.
You can turn off paradox by toggling UseParadox to off. But you will still want to find why it's happening.
Should probably mention you shouldn't be using a macro at the same time.
The way to know it's MQ2Mage casting it is if it's in the Plugin Output tab, and it has [MQ2Mage] at the front of it, and it will be colorful. If those things aren't true, then it's not MQ2Mage
 
Iirc, there is an item that you get from the cauldron that is the same lore group as the paradox. Can't remember what it's called, but I had that problem with Kiss a while back.
