Cant wait, mage is my main, have mq2eskay, and mq2berzerker so far, looking forward to trying this one out!

Just watched most of the video. Now I'm no expert mage, but i think im decent. Ive never parsed the monster summoning, but the only time I use it is to get mana back. So, ill suspend my water pet, make a pet with monster summoning, then reclaim magic (full reclaim aa's) it with Staff of elemental mastery earth: https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=526 With this i can go from no mana to full mana in just about a min. If someone has parsed the monster summoning pet let me know. When i get home from work I plan on giving it a go.

Water is still the best.
 
Trying to load this up with:
plugin mq2Mage load
with no success. I have "watch" the MQ2Mage page, but the plugin does not show up in the RedGuide Launcher page. It has MQ2Shaman, Mq2Eskay... etc but no MQ2Mage. I tried "refresh" and "Update ALL" still not showing it.

Any help please?

Thanks for putting in all the hard work cwtn and sic. Gotta start leveling a mage now, always thinking of trying one out

it casts buffs as you would expect. We never include a "don't click xyz buff" for every single thing you would cast. if you don't want to buff, use byos, or have the buff blocked.

the only one that has an "aura option" is enchanter since they actually have choices you can make with their auras.

so yes, it is intentional that there is no option, as it is something we're going to keep up

You didn't see the arcan distillect because i had my aura window closed, however

I even read the spell groupings which included PetAura: Arcane Distillect

literally pasted all over the video in giant letters it will be in the June 16th Wednesday 2021 patch =p

Wednesday June 16th is eq patch, which requires a VV build, so it will be part of that

Can't wait to test this out with my Mage. I know you mentioned no plans to add CoH, but maybe it would be nice to have CoH option available to rescue the Puller and/or reduce downtime due to waiting for a bad pull to clear.

Something like use CoH AA if criteria is met:
- Puller is further than X distance from the group and
- FD duration exceeded X seconds/minutes

Meh, I did check the list in video, but somehow missed it. I will now retire in silence, cause I obiously have no reading skills for this kind of thing(s). :D

if, and its a big if, we did add some coth usage, it would be by request, like a tell, and absolutely not automatic.
but as mentioned, at this time, we do not have plans to add that at all.

I parked my Mage, Enchanter and Shaman, when I decided to try Bard and 3 Zerkers. Maybe I should make 2 more mages and do a full group of nuts, and put the shaman with the melee's, cleric with these these.

Edit: I think maybe I'll do a Aliase for /plagin in the MacroQuest.ini lol.

I fully expect the Shivery Earrings of Summoning on sale across servers will disappear. Chase mage earrings prices are going to go through the roof again
 
I am excited to try it but have to say that the RGMercs version has done great for me as well. It is very nice to have so many play options to choose from. I am sure this will be just as good as the other fantastic CWTN plugins. Wish there was a way to subscribe to get all active plugins annually (at maybe a slight discount). Wish they sold a faction bonus pot for wives as my current subs are spaced out and I have to grind faction periodically to justify my periodic reup expense. Overall still way cheaper than booze and strippers but that excuse goes only so far....

To answer your thought about why to use Monster Summoning, they are rubbish pets indeed.... however, they have a massive mana cost to summon (highest one costs 13k mana) and you can get 300% of that mana back with the Reclaim Energy spell.

They literally just exist for getting mana back quickly when rezzed/oom.

If that's not planned functionality, you could take them out ... noone uses them as a pet

there is no increased cost for purchasing them individually; there is no "package" to purchase either, this allows folks to get what they need, and reup them as needed, and even spread them out over different months.

also, all the cwtn plugins are included for no additional expense on the test server with your lvl 2 Very Vanilla - so that might be an option for you

Hey Sic, I know and understand the flexibility with the current business model. I was just tossing out an alternative for those that get them all and a way to hide/justify our addiction to our loved ones that may conduct an intervention! Keep up the great work and we appreciate you guys. Looking forward to when the Rangers get some love but you guys give me plenty to work with until then.
