MQ2Heals

Release MQ2Heals

gave it a try today on a cleric, appears to be working here.

Though it did take me 3 wipes to figure out I left it on and it was breaking invis when the cleric aura was causing HPs to drop while group was moving... grrr

Learn something new every day =)

I am using latest ver of KissAssist 11.010 Beta ......... what ver of Kiss did you try it on? I have 4 computers .......... doesn't work on any of them.
All using Kiss Assist 11.010 Beta

being it is a plugin, I didn't run a macro with it. Just turned the plugin on and let it do it's thing.

That being said I use a modified version of RaidDruid. It's old and needs updating, but it does exactly what I want it to do, and I prefer the buffing set up, and pause =)

Perhaps I should have mentioned. I apologize for leaving that out. I try to use mq2heals with KA while KA is running. That has not worked since patch.

I did this before TBL (I’ve been traveling since it came out). The trick is to make sure you turn heals off in KA and do a “/heals on” with MQ2heals loaded. I also have zero dps things setup in kiss, with the exception of the reverse DS.

/heals on ........ /heals off is how I do this.
Spams mq window with endless loop and pauses KA or locks up and I have to issue //end through EQBC to get it to stop.
I have not changed any plugins since new expansion.

WARNING: Undefined variable Cast used on line [email protected] /if (${HealsOn}) /call CheckHealth

Code:
/healson 0
Will turn off heals in kiss

Is this what I want to do then. Thought I needed both running at same time to keep up with tank on tough mobs or pulls ( I have used them both together in past with no problem ).
KA has been getting slower to heal for whatever reason or reasons. I have needed mq2heals with KA to keep up on certain events when not playing cleric manually. Raid geared tank.

I tried MQ2heals after wiping like a hundred times to EoE mission in RoS. Using MQ2heals I won a couple tries later. It was just way faster with healing.

MQ2Heals alone is probably more than enough. I would use Kiss for buffs, and MQ2Heals for healing.

So, Are we going to be able to run Mq2heals with KA again?

Turning off heals in KA ( /healson 0 ) Turns healing off. Then turning on Mq2heals ( /heals on ) with KA still running causes same problem as stated above.

The cleric healed much faster with KA running with the plugin MQ2Heals turned on than just MQ2Heals by it self.

Anyone had an issue where Cleric continues to spam yaulp? I put DoYaulp=0 into the INI file but she's still trying to cast it, and it appears to be interfering with her ability to combat rez. Healing does take precedence though.

This is usually an issue with mq2melee.

I unloaded mq2melee on clerics and /heals loadini , but it still happens. DoYaulp=0 in the chars ini file, not really sure where else to check

Yeah I had the same yaulp issue and couldn't figure it out. It was only when MQ2Heals was active and changing the plugin ini didn't stop it.

It always breaks out of the loop to heal so it's not really gamebreaking, but it does seem to be impacting the combat rez and regular rez routine a bit so it is noticeable. Trying to figure out what is triggering it, and what is making it stop on it's own sometimes...is there something I can do to prevent yaulp from failing and just run with Yaulp=1 ?

I've been trying with the manual add of DoYaulp=0, just tried with Yaulp=0 and still no effect, continues to spam Yaulp during downtime

I think i worked around it by removing whatever was blocking taiko and just letting it use it.

Hm what is Taiko? It's not giving me an indication as to why the ability is failing or what ability it is trying to use at all so I don't even know what to look at.

No idea... my cleric is 100% a bot that i only dabbled with as a second box pre-MQ2 for a bit.

Regarding the Yaulp issue: If you believe MQ2Heals is the cause, try turning it off completely, and see if you have the same issue. /heals off or /heals pause would be sufficient. If it is the cause, /heals domed off should fix the problem. It's something I never got around to fully implementing. There's a /heals doyaulp off too, but it's not implemented yet. I'll put it back on my todo list. :)

I haven't tested MQ2Heals with kissassist, but I will do some testing later this week, and see what happens. If your cleric is healing faster with KA and MQ2Heals, you should try changing the MQ2Heals healpoints. /heals settings to see what they're set to.... If I am doing current content, I set them to 89 or so if I am using cleric Aura (so they don't toss a heal as soon as you get back with a mob in range and pull aggro). If this isn't good enough, I drop the cleric aura, and set the heal points to 99. Then, as soon as a toon hits 99% hp, the cleric starts casting. It will work out of the box, but the default is 70%. That won't work well if you're pulling multiple mobs, or current content mobs... This new shit hits pretty hard.

So, druid only healing is okay, but I am not an expert druid player, and am definitely open for suggestions. Don't get me wrong, it works, but it isn't necessarily the best spell rotation.

Edit: It will cast the slow spell first by default ("*vida" line I believe). If you want to change it around, you'll have to change the heal points.

OK, I didn't read all 7 pages of this thread, so you can yell at me if it's there and I got lazy. But it's an easy question to answer. I looked and couldn't find a MQ2Heals.ini. Looked in MQ2\ and MQ2\Macros folders and couldn't find it. What I did find was a 1 line entry in my Clerics \MQ2\servername-charname.ini file. That one line is:

[MQ2Heals]
HealsOn=1

Which when compared to the ini example listed in this thread is totally different. Is it because my Cleric is only level 18? and I need to fill in the spells?

Thanks for any help you guys can throw this way.

Have you ever run mq2heals in the past?

Ie - do a /plugin mq2heals

that will then create some ini files for you (either toon specific, or a single ini with toon sections in it)

Lor thanks for replying?;

Yes I had just started it day before yesterday. I thought it would follow the same path as most other MQ2plugins. Load the plugin, then execute a "save", then go and edit the ini file to customize your characters traits. That when I discovered the problems with can't find the ini file.

Now after the patch every time I try to start MQ2Heals with the /heals on command, it crashes my cleric to the desktop. I tried re loading the plugin, crashes. I can do a /heals settings and it shows the settings which seem to be the default that is shown at the beginning of this thread. The example ini in the OP. There is also another command that I found from further reading, the /heals saveini command. That crashed the cleric too.

Kind of at a loss here, any ideas guys?

@Vrakenor

Check out the Resource for MQ2Heals: https://www.redguides.com/community/resources/mq2heals.81/

/heals saveini -- Will save all the settings to the .ini file. (Edit: I need to add this to the resource page :) )
/heals loadini -- Will load all the settings from the .ini file.

It does not automatically save the default settings to the .ini as soon as you load the plugin, however I could certainly make that happen.

As for crashes, I will see if I can replicate your issue. There could be several causes, especially after a client update (it's usually internal to MQ2... MQ2Heals uses quite a bit of the core code, structures, and pointers).

Edit 2: This was likely the cause of the crash. If so, it's probably fixed. I will test it now.

Edit 3: MQ2Heals is working properly in the latest RG compile.

@jimbob Thanks for this lovely plugin. Fastest response healing as far as i see.

Though Im having this bug, when you put a PC on ETW, then he died, my cleric will spam the hell out of "Undying Life". Could you check that logic plz? Thank you very much sir.

P. S. Another problem is that there are two identical options --HoTHeals on /heals settings

I will check it out when I get a chance. Hopefully some time this evening. The HoTHeals showing up twice is probably a copy/paste error, though it appears to be using a different flag variable, because one shows on and one shows off.

Just to toss it out there... is there a specific way to put the mount item into the plugin? Or is it having a problem clicking on items that are on the mount ring?

And about Shm/Dru

Shm won't use the AA "Soothsayer's Intervention"

Dru won't use the AA "Wildtender's Survival"

They are both a patch heal AA been added since ROS. They are an alternate version of their group patch heal spell and don't share the cd with the spell. Could you consider to add those plz? Thanks a lot!

/heals mountitem "Name of mount item"

I am not sure whether or not it works with the keyring... If not, I'll work on a solution. Also, the meditate / mount code in Heals may be a bit buggy... I never really worked it out because there was no easy way to determine if a zone permitted mounts (Generally Indoors zones don't, but there was no way to properly determine that at the time). I believe @eqmule added the functionality later.

I added these AAs to the "click" heal category (ClickHealPoint)...
I also removed the double HoT entry in /heals settings.

I haven't tested any of this, so... :)

NP hoss, just wanted to add to the "to-do" list while you were fixin to tackle stuff.

Redbot updated MQ2Heals with a new update entry:

heal fixes

Removed duplicate HoTHeals in /heals settings. Added Druid and Shaman AA group heals to ClickHeals and Group Heals (lowest priority in group heals). Updated some code to determine XTarget status (i.e. Corpse, etc..). It just checks for HP>1% now... XTarget and RaidTankMode won't always prioritize the XTarget over the group any more (unless XTarget HP is "critical").

Read the rest of this update entry...

Not sure what I did wrong. Turned heals on with KA running and got this error.

Not sure if this caused by the same issue that Young God was having in discord, but he has kiss turning off mq2melee which turns off mq2cast. Mq2heals needs MQ2cast running.

you can check by /plugin list and see if MQ2cast is listed, if not you need to /plugin mq2cast

Thats gonna be it then. I turned off Melee because it was causing an issue when I needed to med. Would just sit and stand over and over. Will have to turn it back on and get that sorted out. Thanks dude.

I tried turning this on today on the Cleric and Shaman and both were in endless spam loops even with mq2cast loaded.
Kiss Assist was running and the KA heals were turned off.
