MQ2Heals

Release MQ2Heals

It should only be used on whomever is set as group MT (unless using XTarget heals). It should proc a heal before it's applied again.

Awesome, thanks!

Absolutely love this plugin and have only one issue. When using XTarget heals, if someone dies, my cleric tries to heal the corpse repeatedly instead of rezzing and places the healing of said corpse in a higher priority over healing other group or XTarget members.

This has been going on with IHCMercs for months also, but only when the Tank is using KA and the healer is IHC .. it started happening again last night, so if you could let us know what you find Jimbob, might help others.

Thanks !

Yeah... There's been an issue with determining if an XTarget is a corpse or not for a while. I thought it was fixed, but I guess not.

That would be great. We like to use MQ2Heals for any heal bots we have on our raids, it works great as long as there are no deaths. As soon as there is a corpse in XTarget it goes down hill. MQ2Heals won't even rez group members, as it just continues trying to heal corpses on XTarget.

Not yet. I may have some time to work on it this weekend when I make the changes for the fade nerfs.

So, I added the fade code (/heals dofade on/off). I also looked at the XTarget heal code. It should only be casting heals if the HPs of the XTarget are >= 1%. I am not sure why it is casting anyway. I will have to do some debugging with EQ running (maybe Monday after work).

So I am about to give this a go. Does it have a chase or a camp here thing?

no, it literally only heals (and cures, iirc). I use a blank kissassist.ini along with this plugin. I let the kissassist.ini handle buffing, and then let the MQ2heals plugin handle all the healing.

MQ2heals was the only way I could beat EoE group mission back in RoS. I never stopped using it after that.

Wonder how this compares to Sics Cleric .ini? His is pretty damn good and that's what I have been using - my cleric heals like a beast.

Alright thank you going to give it a try any advice? Lol what % you got for heals? And does it use dicho heals?

It does use dicho heals. You can customize your heal points. I use 99% for current content. It's hard on the cleric's Mana, but it works well for me. I'm still adding the ToV heal spells. Got my crew to 115, so I can add the spells and test them.

Will the plugin handle AA abilities or is it just spells?

@jimbob can chime in authoritatively, but I’ve bootlegged AA heals into my rotation by adding them to the kissassist.ini that I run in parallel with the plugin.

The ETW corpse issue hasn't been fixed yet. I will see what I can do this weekend. I don't usually use the ETW unless I am PLing a toon.

It does use AA heals, but doesn't use other abilities. I am considering adding some for nameds and such (like I did for MQ2AFNUKE burns).

I believe I've fixed the problem. It appears that pSpawn->Type is a valid variable to check to see if a spawn is a corpse again w/o string parsing for 's corpes... :)

Edit: Also added all healer spells. :) Shaman, Drood, Cleric...

Sum can you post or sent me a copy of the InI you use for buffs/aas you use, and where do I go in to change some of the %? for heals on an ini for Mq2heals

Overall this plugin has been working great for me.

Could you possibly add a setting to disable auto stand when ducking?

In most scenarios, you would want to stand to do a heal when needed. However, attempting to do Icebound Avatar, I lost both my Cleric and my Druid because each of them stood up just a bit too early to heal the tank. This pissed off the Avatar of War who then punished their corpses in untold ways. To be able to disable standing would be very helpful when doing this task, then can turn it back on after.

I posted exactly how to do this with my plugins and MQ2Events on the Icebound Avatar thread I made a while back...

I do, it's better than KA and it's included with VV. I use it for my cleric atm and I'm probably going to put my shaman on it soon. In fact, I box my cleric for my raid group running MQ2Heals while I play bard. Awhile back, the raid leader sends me a tell "how are you healing so much more than every cleric on the raid? you're almost 5x as much as the next closest healer." This was before he knew I was using MQ2. I couldn't hide it any more after that.

mine will have a price attached to it eventually and if your intention is for this to remain free I don't see the harm in continuing to have it for those that don't want to spend the money on one of my plugins. Your contributions are appreciated and it's not my intention to replace the freely available products, or push them into an unmaintained status.

I do, my shaman only heals outside group with mq2heals...on ihc i cant make it work the way i wanted

I understand, and I didn't intend to give off the vibe that I'm going to stop supporting MQ2Heals. As long as I play EQ, it will be supported. I use it to run my Cleric, Shaman, and Druid (not usually all at the same time), and have used it for progression on the last 5 or so expansions with tons of success.

I'm just curious who's still using it, so I can try to get some constructive feedback. I haven't added many features lately, but I am still working on bugs and refactoring code (lots of technical debt from learning the MQ2 API). I am also working on issues with meditation, and considering adding buff support (I had it in the original pre-release version, but it was expansion/level specific, and didn't track group buffs). Eventually, I plan to merge this with MQ2AFNuke, so there will be one plugin that does everything that both do now. This will de-conflict some issues with Druids that heal and DPS. Right now though, MQ2AFNuke and MQ2Heals work well together. I just intend to make it better.

I had originally planned for buff support, but presumed I'd use something like MQ2NetBots to share buff/debuff information. I'm not sure that's the ideal way to handle it now, given the MQ2KissBuffs plugin, but I'd like to support external users as well. I don't think either of these really handle that sort of information. I think ModBot used to do it by targeting each player in the group, waiting for buffs to populate, then tracking it from there. I may use some sort of hybrid approach, but haven't decided a way forward yet (It's only been like ~5 years since I started this plugin).

Much like KissAssist and ModBot, the code for these plugins is fairly modular, so I can customize support for every class much like your individual plugins do, but have one core code base.

Also, I always assume that I am the primary user/tester. I originally wrote this as a test to learn how plugin development works, and learn more about the MQ2 API. I do, however, value feedback from the community, and try to resolve issues.

I do appreciate the feedback that I've received. I'd like to know more about the shaman heals. I've never played a shaman, so I don't really know how well it works. I have one that I recently made for buffs, but I've only used him with a Druid as a backup healer. I don't know much about his AAs, capabilities, best way to use his heal spells, etc...

I'm curious... Since MQ2Cleric came out, does anyone use my heal only plugins any more?

Your plugins run alongside my kissassist.mac every single day. My wizard/enc/ranger (not sure if ranger is supported lol) run mq2afnuke and my cleric runs mq2heals. When I was doing EoK progression MQ2Heals was the only thing that got me through the fuckin meteor mission.

Because I run it with kissassist, I don't really care so much that buffs aren't supported. I just run my buffs with kiss. I would, though, love to see HoTs and Group HoTs fixed. I don't use them much with my cleric, but I could see scenarios where it would be nice if they were working.

Ranger is most definitely supported by MQ2AFNuke. It's decent support for close melee, but won't range at the moment, will cast, use burn AAs, and at least one disc (Copsestalker's Discipline). Ranger heals are supported by MQ2Heals, but it's basic support... Set your heal points low, so you only patch heal yourself or team. :)
As for HoTs, have you tried /heals hot on? If so, let me know what's not working, and I'll see what I can do to fix it. Someone else posted a HoT issue in another thread, but it didn't appear that HoTs were on...

Edit: I have a ranger lying around somewhere I can do some tests with, but he's not AA capped or well geared, so DPS wouldn't be representative of what you can really expect.

I love this plugin but it's been crashing my toon (only on raids never groups). I've got a few dumps I've sent to EQMule but I can send them somewhere else if needed.
