while doing don;t fear the destroyer , my group will get stuck and not move to the next area. I have to manulay move my tank around a little then it will decide to move on its onw to the next area. any idea how to fix this?

There are commonly two issues that I'd like you confirm:
1) Lots of people run Bard on KissAssist and leave Selos running which will over run a location and possibly get it off mesh and stuck (if that's you, please either block Selos during grind or update your KA config and use a grind ini file which does not include the use of selos.
2) Possibility that the mesh you have (mq/resource/mq2nav/...) might be out of date, I recommend grabbing the latest from Mesh repo

Now, in order to get quicker support about a problem, the following will help me, help you efficiently:
  • Which instance are you running
  • What classes you are running and how (e.g. war running mq2war, bard running kissassist)
  • Help me understand where you are having the problem, for instance "At Grind loc 25 my toons get stuck, I see that they are off mesh and my location is 804 -1230 -2
  • include a picture of the map and your toons location (avoid sharing toon names!) Don't be hyper zoomed out or zoomed in, but somewhere in between so I can appreciate where you actually are on the map

I am trying to use this on my laptop and keep getting the "Docommand - Couldn't parse '/grind ui'". I am not sure what I am missing.

The plugin is in the plugin folder. the .ini is in the config folder.

Oh this should be a simple one to resolve, try: `/plugin mq2grind load`

i had same issue as him while back, and when you gave me your mesh it fixed it. not sure what page that was on though, hopefully same issue.

I'm having the same issue.

  • Which instance are you running (Restless Assault)
  • What classes you are running and how (e.g. war running mq2war, bard running kissassist) (War MQ2War, Cleric MQ2Cleric, Enchanter MQ2enc) Running 1 2 and sometimes 3 DPS mercs) I think my problem is with the mercs. Seems like they are out of range??? If I move my tank back a couple of meters to the group, the tank will do his thing. Also If I drop a merc the tank will run to the next spot. EDIT: I just ran a test and it seems like my issue is with the distance my mercs are to the group. I had 3 mercs in the group, I dropped the closest one and nothing but when I dropped the one farthest away, The group took off again.

What is your groupGap set to? I'm going to guess < 50 ?
 
I usually hit the follow me hotkey to get the group back together if one of them gets stuck.
Turning off selos, shaman/bst cwtn shrink stuff helps runs pretty solid usually streaming shows and look over occasionally and see a toon or two at 90 range hit that and off it goes.
Running 6 person crew on TLP doings about 120ish kph should increase a good bit with 86-90 a lot of power increases for the classes i use when HoT unlocks.
 
Hi, for a while the error for getting the heroes forge mission stopped, it seems to now happen only when i use safe mode. The tank tries to get the mission gets this message and everything stops.

Hi Kruuger, I'm not sure what version you are running (I did search and gave up after 25 pages of searching ...)

The error that you shared was removed from the source code as a fix was applied for the bug you're dealing with. Would you mind updating to the latest version?

You've got a few things asked here, let's separate them a bit:

1) What's a good gap to set?
Answer: I would recommend a gap of 50 -> 100 max

Answer: This is most commonly due to not having the Tank configuration set up properly. Most times I find that people who share this issue either don't have arrows while they have a bow equip'd and the tank configuration is set to /range or they are running a warrior and have a shadow knight configured to cast spells which the warrior doesn't have. Please have a look at your tank configuration and ensure that every option relates to your tank that you are running it on. If you struggle with the configuration feel free to send me the mq/config/MQ2Grind.ini file in direct message and let me know how you run your tank (class, what automation tool you use, useful insight to help get you set up correctly.)

yup have warrior and wasa set to /ranged and i dont have a bow , switched to ALLCWTNTanks top see if that fixes it
 
Enjoying the plugin so far. I did want to offer a suggestion: when using WaitForGroupFullMana, it would be nice if the plugin didn't pause the bard (if the bard is full mana and stamina). As downtime while medding to FM at the end of the run would go quicker with the bard singing.

Edit: I have tried deleting the bard pause and end commands, but the plugin is still managing to stop the bard playing while pausing the group as they rest at the end.

Something seems wonky with the group tether functionality. I was noticing in Don't Fear the Destroyer that members of my group were occasionally getting stuck. Not moving or anything, just sitting next to a wall or behind a corner or something. So I changed the groupGap down to around 20 and noticed the issue was even more prevalent.

Seeing comments here that this was likely related to the nav mesh, I confirmed my nav meshes are up-to-date per Mesh Updater. Also I've noticed the chars seem to immediately run to the MT when nudged in any direction, even towards the walls. I can also sometimes get them unstuck by clicking 'come to me'. So I don't think this is an issue with the nav mesh.

When I checked debug I noticed it was stuck in tether mode trying to call the group together over and over (see screenshot below). After this, I upped the groupGap all the way to 150 and haven't noticed the issue since (until I set it back down to 50 or lower). I've even set the groupGap low and waited for the issue to reproduce, then increased the groupGap to 150 while the char was stuck and the party immediately moved on to engaging the next mob (with stuck chars becoming unstuck). So the problem seems to be related to how it's trying to call the group together when the tether limit (groupGap) has been exceeded.

My party makeup with this run was PAL, CLR, NEC, ROG, RNG, BRD; with all but the bard using CWTN plugins (bard is using Kiss). Also, the stuck char is not always the same and my bard is not running Selo's in her twist.

I updated several times and im still getting it

It's not in the source code... The only thing I can imagine is that you have more than one MQ installation and you are updating one of them but running from a different install. Please check the RG Launcher settings and where you are running your MQ from.

What will fix it, is to be configured correctly :) If you run a warrior and no bow and arrow ... /range is not going to help you. Change it to /attack on and you'll just face pull it.

This is due to default setting when value is empty or null. Simply change to something like `/makemevisible` or `/removelev` :)

Group tether being called is specific to when the group is not within groupGap distance. Group Tether being called, results in TETHER msg :) those two things go together. I should limit the amount of spam per second.


I'm struggling to keep working meshes in the public repo because people just over write with their own version instead of taking what was working and modifying. I've not found a viable solution for this yet beyond sharing the mesh when I can.

The plugin detects combat based on EQ knowledge. Being in combat unfortunately includes being debuffed. So if you were debuffed (red icon spell) EQ feels that you are in Combat.

Confirm that you weren't debuffed in some way please? I may have another way of checking for being in combat which I'll send to you once you confirm.

Hytiek its was the Fine Subdued Collar of Legacy Lost, soon as I read your comment i knew. Took it off the Sk and now Grind works. Something in the code is reading its state as combat?

EQ sees it as a debuff, I'll see if I can work around it a bit.
 
Same. Have a group of 90's here that could do some test runs as well. Didn't have access to HoT when you asked a couple weeks ago

Also have all the prereqs for progression missions in T1-T3 if you were looking to test any of those

That messaging has been in the plugin for a while. It's only shown if those DanNet settings were set to "on".
 
I had a great convo with the developer of this software. Since I support quality people I've decided to buy his software when I return fulltime. Supporting good folks is number 1 in my book

I have a problem:
My grind (UF lvl 85), keeps getting stuck.. I use cwtn plugins for shd/clr/shm/rog/ber and rgmercs for the bard.

when I type /grind debug, it keeps spamming the following 2 lines:
10:30:25 [MQ2Grind] DEBUG :: isTargetValidNPC - failed to get Target, retry
10:30:25 [MQ2Grind] DEBUG :: GET2LOC - updated to [GRINDING]

any idea or pointer in the right direction would be appreciated, thank you
