@hytiek , possible to put a force restart timer option in this? Maybe a checkbox in the gui that will opt to force a grind end, then automatically force a run once the group has zoned out? I'm having fun farming in ToL Shei Vinitras, and not having any issues with deaths, but I do find I'm unable to clear the adventure within the 6 hour window. It would be nice if I could enable that function so that it will let me happily grind away for, say, 5 hours, then dump it and start over.
Replying to myself in case someone else scours the historical data on mq2grind to seek the same thing. I suppose I could just as easily set this instance to run in safe mode and have it leave after #/23, where # = how many steps I can generally advance through in 5 hours. I asked my initial question before I even finished the first cup of coffee.

All good and that's a good idea.

Another is you could look into using `/grind custom` and write a small script to do what you're wanting to do in a Lua or macro.

Thank you for that. I haven't worked with Lua in some time, but I think I will play around with some scripting.
 
I got a message today telling me to please tell Hytiek that there is/was a problem with the the zone ins from the inn, in this case the group ended up in three different zones, it hasn't happened since but just doing as requested!

Unfortunately, it's difficult for me to understand without a screen shot or copy of the text. At this moment, I do wish there was only 1 of these errors in the code.
 
Just happened to me; one char spawned in a different pick when exiting the instance. I've not seen it before, but I guess when the stars align and all that. Any chance you could look into changing picks when this happens? Guessing it won't be high on the priority list, but nevertheless, a nice QoL :)

Thank you, but the errors I shared, are the only ones like that. There's not one which is like "zone entrances are too close together".

Thanks for the Brells Rest grind, seems to be working quite well!

Noting that HoT is about to drop in a couple weeks will there be any grind instances available on release?

I'm just curious if it's possible to use MQ2grind with mercs filling a few slots on a group?

As an example. Could you have your SK/Druid/BST + 1 heal merc, 2 x rogue mers?

Msg me please, getting a weird stall :)

This issue was simply that person ran to the quest giver which was in the kitchen / hallway and out of the designated geofence that I created for where to grab a quest from. Assuming folks would use the `/grind go` command or push the button to navigate to the quest givers. His driver toon then got stuck (stalled) being out of the geofence while still in the correct range for requesting the instance.

I was able to instantly appreciate and understand the issue.

For those who run into this issue, I'm fixing it now. For those who run into other issues, please provide such details when you report an issue so I can quickly understand and replicate in order to fix.

good morning guys,
I grabbed the new GMM mesh the other day that you posted but find I'm still getting stuck in a couple of locations.
Now, I have no idea how to edit a mesh file so I have attached my map file where I have added the locations using the in-game map editor *last couple of entries with "Stuck here".
If someone could be so nice as to update the mesh file I'd love to give it a try.
They don't get stuck here every time, it just seems to be when I'm not actually watching the grind in progress.

In hind sight, might be worth asking how many mobs can you handle at once which are lvl 85-90 ?

on a tlp, and only 3 box sadly wish i could help -- any clue's on which zone it may be so i can make sure i have pre-req's done on boxes before it launches? :D

The instances I'm looking at are HoT related. There's a lot of requirements for most of them.

Most of them have at least 3 and upwards of 5 adds at a time. I just am not sure how groups at ~ lvl 87-92 fair with those odds.
 
with a full group HoT really wasn't all that hard i played it my current tlp not to long ago. as a sk i was easily able to solo most the missions(little time consuming), and i wasn't raid geared at the time, (redguides didn't work previously there) - i imagine having a group would of been a cake walk threw them, tbh. but yeah i only 3 box so can't test it sadly for you.

no Selos and usually no other speed buffs either so I can't stop using them.
I get stuck on those two locations... REGULARLY. That's why I went so far as to mark their locations on the map.
I change all my support toons (not MT) to gnomes mainly because the taller ones seemed to get stuck on everything possible.
 
When WaitForGroupFullMana is activated, is it possible to drop charmed pets before pausing combatplugins/macros? My enchanter seems to die a whole lot while the group is medding.

Is this a bug or some thing I need to adjust so that it keeps navigating even though stuff is fare away?

If I manually move the tank closer to the mob it has targeted, everything starts up again.

I changed navDistance and groupGap to max, and now everything is working it seams like.

Hmm, even with navDistance maxed (75), it still stops allot and refuses to move to the mob it targets (distances over 100) in: https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=4919

hi hytiek! Im interested ;) im running a 6box with a 101SK, 4 90's, and an 85 or 90 clr, of that wprks for you!

sk cn handle at least 4-5 mobs like that
 
not sure why, the crew were just sitting around not going into GMM for the last 4 hours.

Debug mode tells me...

Steps taken: unload and fully close RG Launcher etc, reload and update then re-launch. Result = same
About to re-boot PC, will update if that works...

Update:
Worked ok for a while after reboot but when I got home from work they're all standing around again having another wee sanity check...

Hi guys,

What can i do to alleviate the "automatically pausing plugin due to group member death/corpse" event to pause my grind. I can see the corpse a few steps from the group with my dead group member already ressed to a no exp combat rez.

Is there a setting I am missing that will make my tank not rush to the next point and allow for the dead guy to get his exp rez ?
 
I even have a rogue in group and hes not pulling the coprse back to the group. Maybe the corpse is too close not outside 100 units

Did you download the Brells Rest navmesh from earlier in the thread? I was having all kinds of nav/engage issues in there as well before downloading the updated mesh for Grind

I hadn't downloaded that mesh (did now), then again I was not getting stuck on geometry. I think the problem may have to do with the war not having a bow and arrow and just using the discs (with limited range) to pull. So it got stuck trying to pull mobs that was out of range of the abilities it was trying to pull with. That made the war just stand there, not moving close enough to the mob to actually pull it with the pull abilities it was trying to use.

Best ten minutes is spent configuring the plugin to work with the toons you have :)
 
Yea, I did try allot of different configurations, but from what I can gather, the "camp spots" and the mobs it tries to pull are out of range of the max settings unless you have a bow and arrow on the war.

MQ2Grind performs a spawn count look up for pc corpses and if it finds one it pauses. When that corpse is gone it goes into a waiting period which you can configure by adjusting the DelayAfterRez value.

You must tweak this setting to be in line with how your toons operate and to what spells they have access to.

I'm very curious to understand by which toon you saw the corpse? Was it on the driver toon or the one which died? Assuming that you saw it on your rezzed toon and not your driver I would suggest revisiting your `/hidecorpse` setting. If the driver toon cannot see PC corpses it won't wait.

I hope that this helps. If it doesn't and I've misunderstood or badly comprehended what you've shared, please elaborate and help me address the issue you're facing.

The group spread (groupGap) is set too low in my opinion. I continue to see this and I'm going to adjust the smallest value possible to 50.

What you've described sounds more like that your bard is set to chase correctly.

The following KissAssist settings should be reviewed and configured by you:

/chase [on|off] | [charname]ON will abandon camp and have your group follow the MA - good for manual pulling, or Hunter mode. CharcterName is optional, and can be used to change who you want to chase. The chase(WhoToChase) no longer has to be the MA.

/chasedistance <#>Sets/resets ChaseDistance to the specified number.
.ini section: [General]
/chaseoffTurns Chase off. Updates ChaseAssist=0 in .ini file.
/chaseonTurns Chase on. Updates ChaseAssist=1 in .ini file.
