Release MQ2Grind 3.1.52471.11

So DelayAtStaging only affects the area when we first zone in. I think having a pause at each step to allow for rebuffs could have some value, especially because KissAssist is extremely slow at doing anything.

DelayAfterRez is completely bypassed as I run the Aaryonar mission, there's no difference as to whether I die mid-combat and am ressed before end of combat, or not die at all; there is no such delay happening, I turned mine up to 120 and there's no difference. However if I die and combat ends and then I take a ress, the plugin completely stalls out and never goes again, even when all timers have passed, 6 hours goes by and folks are ejected out of the mission, and we're all standing there outside in the static zone. It would be a boon to change that behavior.

The WaitForLoot is something I toggled on, because, I don't know if it was due to server lag, we kicked the mission while loot was still rolling. I'd rather wait the extra 30 seconds and avoid that from happening. ;)

I toggled the Aary mission to stop at step 12, because having my guys fall into the triplets pool, or having my team run past a set of spawns and then dying as we move to the next cubby, was something I watched happen numerous times and wanted to avoid in the future. I mapped out where steps 10, 11, 12 all were so that I could find the best stop for ending without problems there. lastCoVToVLoc=12

Thank you for the response hytiek. I know you're still working on refining a lot of this, but it's pretty awesome so far.

I need to figure out something. I die at step 12 on the Call as well. Almost fully Raid geared and 4 / 6 toons using CWTN. Just keep getting smoked with 4 add's jumping me.

Hi there, first time using this plugin, It seemed to do the 1st mob in mission fine, but after that, it just moves to next location and doesnt do anything else
this is doing the
Sleeper tomb misson
i have to manually pull ( i think ive sorted this via using /grind resettank shd)
But seems My bard isnt following the Sk/Sham

Thanks

Is there a way to add a mana/endurance check and /grind pause and then add a /grind resume when they are past a certain %?

Thanks for reporting the issues you're facing. I have a bit of feedback for you:

  • DelayAtStaging: yes only when you are at the Staging location.
  • DelayAfterRez: I've reviewed this code and can see where it might be able to be skipped. Definitely a bug which I'm going to look into tomorrow. The stalling out might be an affect of a double pausing bug that I found and resolved tonight. Once I have fixed/tested the DelayAfterRez I'll publish an update which has the double-pause defect already fixed.
  • WaitForLoot: this routine looks at the advanced loot window, if an item is there, it won't recycle the mission. The way you've described this I'm not entirely sure where you used this setting? If you were in any COV zone, I force the WaitForLoot feature as the COV zones are mostly about the collectibles, but also yield some nice XP. I'll double check that the "rolling" of an item is being caught by the same look up of a non-rolling item.

I'll have a look at Aaryonar mission to see if there's another way of handling that area you've mentioned. Before I publish these Grinds, I test them with single healer (SHM) and dual healing (CLR+SHM) to determine the risk of the mission so that I either depict it has "hard" or "very hard" respectfully. I also recycle the mission at least 15 times in order to determine if there's any funny scenario that I need to cater for, like roamers, or different models spawning in different locations which might have larger social agro (like wurms in GD/Restless Assault); also to help me fine tune the pulling angle and locations we position in.

The SafeMode was specifically put in so that you (and myself) can choose our destiny. By no means does the plugin provide extra capability to win a battle that you normally wouldn't. The plugin relies on your groups ability to actually be capable of the grind that you are in. The INI file provides the ability to fine tune how you pull and how each of your classes are self-managed (ka vs rgmercs vs cwtn plugins).

I really do appreciate all the feedback and it's very welcome! Without these kinds of discussions, I can't find all the "gotchas" that others fall into and make the plugin that much better for the community.

Thanks for taking the time to help me understand what issues are happening for you.

I need to figure out something. I die at step 12 on the Call as well. Almost fully Raid geared and 4 / 6 toons using CWTN. Just keep getting smoked with 4 add's jumping me.

BlankStare was talking about loc 12 in Aaryonar not in The Call - coincidence definitely!

I run CoV crafted armor group, primarily I use a Warrior and Shaman healer. These CoV missions, I feel that dual healer is a more safe option and called them out as "very hard" for that reason. Having the CWTN plugins is one thing, having them tuned for your group is another. Sic and Chat do an amazing job with their plugin suite, but we as users need to fine tune the settings to match our crew. I suffered for days if not a week at failing a lot of these CoV Hero missions simply because I ran MQ2Shaman as "out of the box" and never updated the settings. This was me assuming that watching sic's videos and how easy he makes most things look, that it would automagically work for my crew. Unfortunately, I was very wrong. I spoke with Sic about what I was dealing with and he pointed me to a post he made on the MQ2Shaman forum where he shared his settings (which were different from out of the box) and guess what? Instantly I beat the mission with those settings. I camped out, logged in the next day and died. Oh yeah ... changing settings in the window of MQ2Shaman don't persist! Oops! =)

After tweaking, testing, and winning a lot, here's my settings on the MQ2Shaman:

1612516085645.png

Now please understand and appreciate that I was paused at the moment I took this, but I run my Shaman in either Vorpal mode or Chase mode, depending on the scenario I'm working on. When I use MQ2Grind I run in Vorpal. When I do Aary hero mission I run my toons on Chase mode. These settings are not a 1 time set and forget. These are levers which should be adjusted as you need for what you are facing.

I'm rambling ... it's 4am. Sorry!

I guess what I'm trying to say is be sure to tune your settings, for the encounter you are doing.

Hey there remix

So when you use MQ2Grind to do The Call (Sleeper's Tomb) you were probably misconfigured (defaults to Warrior with bow and arrow) and eventually reconfigured to SK (as you said by command). I imagine at the 1st location, you were within melee range and thus ran in and beat the NPC. This is a common problem. I think we are all very spoiled by CWTN Plugins and how they pick up and go as they are class based whereas MQ2Grind was built to support different tank types and different support classes, and in such, there's an elaborate INI to be edited to suit your needs. Be sure that you edit it to reflect how you manage and control your crew.

As the plugin navigates the group around the zone if a toon becomes too far from the tank, the plugin will "tether" all players to the tanks location. If the Bard is not adhering to this instruction over Dannet I'm not sure how the bard got into the instance. Usually Dannet works or doesn't work, but intermitted functionality sounds more like something else is at play here.

For interest sake, you could /chaseon with the Bard in order to better follow the tank. I run a bard on kissassist (sl968's ini) and I have never seen the bard not follow. If you could do a bit more testing with it and let me know what you find? I'm very intrigued by this.

Is there a way to add a mana/endurance check and /grind pause and then add a /grind resume when they are past a certain %?

I've had this ask a few times and I've thought about it a lot... I really don't want to build it into the plugin because I think it's better suited to be handled with MQ2React to interact with the plugin, instead of yet another layer of configuration buried into a plugin. In saying this, in order to enable this use case, I need to extend some data of the plugin to a TLO (for instance: ${Grind.Active} - this way, a MQ2React could be configured to check end/mana and if a grind is active, and then instruct the plugin to pause as soon as its safe (my thought is /grind safepause). What this would do is ensure that there's no mobs on xtarget and nothing around us to surprise kill us while we paused. Then a second MQ2React which picks up that our end/mana is better and we're ready to continue.

In typing this out, I'm really on the fence because I can see the configuration being built into MQ2Grind and it watching the group stats and such.... and I can see MQ2React working but then getting complicated by support classes asking the tank to safepause. Another option is by introducing a delay at each location that is user defined. Something like "PauseAtLoc=20" would pause for 20 seconds before continuing. This would give your crew the ability to self-manage their end/mana accordingly by sitting or canni or mod rod as their controlling plugin/macro has defined.

I'll sleep on it and give it more thought.

With this information, I'd love to see your opinions on the matter. Help influence me. =)

Yeah a pause at loc would work for me.

I had a look at this and it's working as expected:

While loot exists in the AdvLootWnd:

Then when loot was all handled:

I do not see a bug/defect/issue here.

i noticed something in the Ini,
you use /mac ka12,
I use /mac kissassist for bard , does it make a difference?
guessing changing it to kissassist would sort out the problem?

The mac name is local to whatever you named it. The default mac name for Kissassist is "kissassist"... but a lot of folks tested KA12 for a while and they had that copy named something else and never changed it... On my system the mac is named Kassist12, but it could just as easy be fluffybabybumpercars.mac. :)

The INI is meant to be configured to match your macros, plugins, and style of play. I couldn't fix that ka12 oopsie after it went out to everyone for the open beta. If you bard isn't working, you are going to want to name the macro which runs your bard to be what you have in the macro folder. For me, I use ka12.mac =)

Today has been a day of Power Leveling a new Rogue of mine. The ROG is seriously wearing 8 pieces of ToV visible and doing about 80k DPS. I'm running my B Team (SK, CLR, BER, BRD, BST, ROG).

Here's the configuration I use (minus all the classes)

INI:
[General]
pulseSkip=10
;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
;- SafeMode will exit based on defined Location #
;- values are 1, on, yes, true, 0, off, no, false
;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SafeMode=1
lastToVRALoc=25
lastToVIALoc=0
lastTBLGMMLoc=0
lastCoVTCLoc=0
lastCoVToVLoc=0

;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
;- Delay options
;- values are in seconds
;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DelayAfterRez=30
DelayAtStaging=10
;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
;- Exit mode values are: taskquit, campfire
;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WaitForLoot=0
ExitMode=taskquit
[Tank]

; WAR|SK|PAL: GTDistPullCmd=/docommand ${If[${Target.Distance} > 50,/ranged,/multiline ; /nav target log=off; /timed 5 /attack on]}
; CWTN WAR  : GTDistPullCmd=/squelch /range
;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Start=/multiline ; /docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName.Lower} pause on; /docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName.Lower} mode 7

LTDistPullCmd=/squelch /nav target log=off; /timed 10 /attack on
GTDistPullCmd=/multiline ; /cast Protest for Power; /face; /timed 20 /nav target log=off; /timed 25 /attack on

At the time that I recycle the mission (meaning that I'm back in front of Zrelik asking for a new task, everyone is full health, full mana, full endurance, This could go on indefinitely, which requires that tweaking of the INI, tweaking of support controls (cwtn plugin vs ka), and proper gearing.

Just thought I'd share some personal outcomes to help gauge your experience.

Most importantly have fun!

Ahh dang, looking for a way to farm the CoV ores since theyve nerfed the drop rate on trash + Nameds
Which would you say is the easyiest CoV mission using your mq2grind?

Are you doing the mission or farming trash and fliping instnaces? If you are doing the actual mission (grind plug won’t help) this isn’t for you and yes Zlandi is by far the easiest mission

MQ2Grind only farms stuff, I don't complete the missions as to not affect "game play". Everything on the list, I do. =) Each part of the list has it's purpose. My favorite is Restless Assault for pure PL capabilities. I'm busy PLing a rogue for my B-Team:

This will be interupted at some point later tonight as I actually want to get some coins from COV missions for more augs and do some aug hunting for my A-Crew.

hytiek updated MQ2Grind with a new update entry:

Quicker entry, safer exits, and a few fixes

2/9/2021
---
Enhancements
- Refactored instance entry to use Dynamic Zone information instead of timers
- Added additional location to GMM grind to ensure safe exit
- Custom exit messages based on type (taskquit vs. campfire)

Resolved defects
- Fixed a crash in Sleeper's Tomb and Kael (thx Morisato for using a crowbar!)
- Fixed an edge case where the plugin would not be able to resume after multiple pauses

Caveats (known issues)
- /multiline issue with /rgstart in MQ2Grind.ini (work around...

Is there a way to modify the INI so that the ranger once called to a location can then be no longer called and allowed to auto move back to 50 so it can head shot. I ask because GMM is a headshottable instance and I have my ranger INI setup for Autofire only , no melee for when I exp grind. Otherwise its calling it constantly and keeping it at 20 range so my autofire gets turned off.

That's a great point. Not running a RNG I didn't consider this at all. I'll add it to my things TODO, thanks for bringing it up!

And if yah are gonna do the crusaders Probably aught to have 2 healers hahah its ruff! But fun

I do this with SHM only healer with a group of COV crafted toons, running a War, Bst, Brd, Ber, Ber, and the SHM. Have you updated your SHM's heal settings? Here's what I use:

Hey Faazed, I've just added the configuration to alter the distance in the group to avoid the constant tethering that you were facing. I also added the ability to configure the distance during a navigation. These will be available in the next release.

Ok-funky issue. Computer crashed. Got a new one. Everything works perfectly, all CWTN plug-ins and such.... except Grind. Won’t recognize plug-in if I try and load it. Doesn’t auto recognize a zone with a bring like before.
everything else is working well.
any ideas??
thanks
Dave

This doesn't make any sense to me. Try to manually unload and load it? (/plugin mq2grind unload then /plugin mq2grind load)
