Hey on my MQ2eskay my puller tank is not working i set it and it just does nothing he just sits there casting beza and stuff i dont know whats going on
probably need meshes so it switched to manual, check your mq2 window and see what it says

sorry to hear you're having issues, but nope, nothing changed.

both these items are addressed and specifically mentioned in the FAQ:

Q. I appear to be chain casting Azia/Beza?
A. Do you have any enchanter buffs on you? you likely have an issue that MacroQuest is reporting to mq2eskay that, despite having voice of sagacity, that you still need covenant. You should decide which one you want and add the other one to your blocked buffs.

There are a few of these buffs that eq/mq2 reports stack that do not or will chain overwrite other buffs and you get into a buffing contest with another toon. You either have this situation or some other issues. I would suggest checking for the red error text that eq gives you to tell you WHY it didn't successfully take hold and then go from there. You can block anything you don't want cast. This is a built-in EverQuest feature - right-click on the buff and "add this spell to list of blocked spells" or go through the eq menu -> character -> blocked buffs


EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Buffs
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)

A. You probably have auto remove illusion turned on, but don't actually have the illusion from this spell added to your blocked buffs. This will make you want to recast the spell. If you don't want to re-cast the spell to get the illusion, you will want to add it to your blocked buffs. This is typically Icebone Skeletal Form.

Same issue here as this person posted with Livios' Covenant casting over and over. I have Voice of Perception from the chanter and that is the one I prefer. It was giving me the red error saying blocked by Voice of Perception, but when I added Livio's covenant to the blocked spells, the red error went away, but the persistent casting did not. I logged out and back in and I also did /shd reload. Any idea what I am missing cuz I know it's not the plugin.

Yes, the thing that you quoted. the thing that i already asnwered.

decide which one you want and add the other to blocked buffs, you probably didn't also block the illusion portion of the spell. you'll need to block that too. That is also in the thing you quoted me on.

which is almost always a mesh problem or a settings problem.

The ini wouldn't have any temporary settings made to the UI, so that could be chasing something that isn't true, AND since the debug tells us specifically what/where/how and why, this is the most a -> b answer for determining why you are not pulling something.

Hello All,

I'm running MQ Next and I'm starting to find that when my SK is in Sic Mode 7 he isn't automatically engaging the mob when it's brought into camp. I have to click attack to get him started. I've never had this issue before and would appreciate knowing how I can fix this.

Second question, related to MQ Next, when I right click the MQ icon, when I was in Live Mode I would click Start EQBC server. With MQ Next, I see that MQ2EQBC is greyed out. Do I no longer have to click Start EQBC server?

2. you probably don't have meshes for the new zone (or you need to just simply reset your camp) if you need to reset your camp /shd resetcamp

Thanks guys sorry for posting in the wrong area i will post in proper area next time sorry im still just learning everything plan to learn how to write an ini file and write up a hopefully really good druid ini everyone will love that does not drain ur mana but does decent dps while also keeping heals going and useing aas and abilities and clickies such as breast plate improved twin cast all that good stuff will be awhile before i learn condition and stuff but im hopeing to make one everyone will love and you guys rock u guys do an amazing job with this stuff i apologize again for wrong posting

I merged your mq2eskay question into the MQ2Eskay thread.

CWTN Plugins also have an entire section dedicated to specifically CWTN stuff. >>> CWTN Forum Section <<<


To answer your question - no, you wouldn't be able to continue to use it.

EverQuest patches at least once every month.

When a patch happens the plugin gets re-compiled against the macroquest build that matches the everquest build.

you couldn't use mq2eskay from February in the June EverQuest build, for example.

So no, a 12 month license can't be used for 69420 months
 
My SK keeps pulling even though he is at 20% endurance. I have the EndMedStart at 25 and EndMedEnd at 95 but he never stops to med up his endurance, he just keeps on pulling. So when named pop, he doesn't have enough endurance for his discs. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Level = 120, have all spells and abilities.

He can get one defensive disc off on a named pull, but then he's pushing 5-10% endurance and still runs out and pulls mobs.

I just thought the whole point of the EndMedStart would be that he would stop and med his endurance up to full after hitting 25%. I agree, it takes him awhile to get to that 25% mark, but again, he never stops to med it back up once he hits that threshold.

With breather, there really isn't much need to go higher than that. you can reuse that thing every like minute 30, and it keeps you rockin pretty handily.

It is pretty unusual that you turn off using lifetaps at 120, and are saying that you have issues with endurance.

no plans to change it at this time. if there was i would have said so. it isn't a "fat finger" or "typo" it was specifically designed this way when it was created, so there are more considerations than just changing one line or one check.

Yeah, fair enough. My goal is to be as efficient as possible, quantity over quality. I have a Cleric and a Shaman in the group so heals are never an issue. I noticed when I turned lifetaps on with the SK he would quickly run out of mana, he would have to stop too often for my taste and med, which effected the efficiency. When I turned off lifetap, I had no issues with dps or health and he really never had mana issues and could continue to pull over and over without stopping. So the bottle neck ended up being his endurance. That is the only resource he now has a problem with, which I thought would have been handled with the EndMedStart option. If you are saying that function is not operational that is fine, that is then the answer to my issue.

Also, similar to mana. Endurance isn't an issue.

But for the sake of clarity, breather is 90 second recast time, not 30 minutes. So it's much much better than originally stated. I believe the older lines were like 30 mins and could be used anytime. Which is why we opt to use breather.
4k mana per tick up to 25% endurance. 1.5 min to reuse, keeps you in the endurance.

It's possible my group makeup is jammin when it comes to end/mana or something, but just curious what your whole grp makeup is that lets you run out often enough for it to be an issue?
Shd/Shm/Brd/Zerk/Zerk/Bst and zerkers/Sk are full Endurance almost 100% of the time.

I have an odd bug that pops up. When the SK is mode 5, sometimes his skelly pet will spam attacking, sorry master calming down, attacking, sorry master calming down etc etc. If I switch him to mode 7, the pet stops the attack on/attack off and just attacks.

*edited to add - he is the main tank, main assist, main puller. The pet attacking/stopping/attacking is while in camp after a pull.

likely pathing, he is probably getting of out range of where he needs to be, so we back him off thinking he is free-wild not doing what he is supposed to

That is possible. The pathing in this expansion kinda sucks. :(
But why would the pathing issue only be in mode 5?
When it happens, I can make it stop by switching to mode 7 (not moving, still fighting the mob in camp) but if I switch back to mode 5, the bug returns.

because 5 is a pulling mode.

and we back our pet off in pulling modes if it isn't where it needs to be
