Is it possible to specify what ability to pull with? this seems useful at low levels (me) where I want to pull w a ranged ability instead of with melee

howdy mergatroid, there's no way to specify, we already use an ability to pull with starting when you get your first lifetap at 8

from the FAQ:

Q. What do we use to Pull?
A. from 8 - 32 we use Lifetap, 33-72 we use Terror, 72+ we use Power

We don't bother with anything lower than lvl 8 for a pull ability, because take spike of disease at lvl 1 for example, its a 45s recast, so you would likely end up melee pulling anyhow

looked but didnt see this issue.

started recently, even through i have Use Beza set in options, it still tries to cast azia ALOT. as in it will stop in middle of combat and try to cast azia.

another thing that started about 3 or 4 days ago. if you die while plugin is paused, i have to exit came and come back in to get eskay to buff and go again. even if its unpaused

this is because you have CheckForStuckGems turned on, and you are manually casting something - or your gems are actually getting stuck.

tried that and get this error, copy past, tried using caps, event went to commands section here and copy and past into game. this is the error it gives.

and why does it keep tryin to cast Azia instead of Beza since Beza is selected.

it has an S - sorry for typo. its in the commands tab

/shd CheckForStuckGems true/false/on/off/0/1 - Sets if you want to try and "unstick" your spell gems - this will happen in every mode other than manual, and we use the Dark Lord's

Curious, when the mq2eskay is pulling and stops to let group members get mana it doesn't output the mage's mana % (sorry if this should be in the SK thread)

sounds like you have your groupwatch for Crowd Control and Healer (and we always spit out ourselves). Since mages, or wizards, or necros, aren't healers or crowd controls, it doesn't spit them out. if you set your groupwatch to all, it will say all classes.

and i'm going to move this mq2eskay question to the mq2eskay thread. mq2eskay doesn't care if your mage is afk or running mq2mage.
 
Does anyone have any docs on how "Hunter" mode works? I have enabled it and nothing ever happens, I am not exactly sure what needs to be done to set it up.

It's not really that complicated, should be easy to get situated

Huntertank goes to mobs and fights them their instead of pulling mobs back to a camp.

Runs around in your blue circle, your radius, and goes to a mob and kills it on location.

So you still need to set your pull settings. Radius, zradius, etc.

You would put your sk in huntertank, and the rest of your toons in chase mode.

The Faq explains how to find out why you're not pulling something.

Q. Why am I Not Pulling XYZ mob?
A. Not pulling a mob is almost always an issue either with your Navmesh or your pull settings. If you do a /shd debugpull on once and it will cycle 1 time and spit out in your mq2 window all the mobs and why you are not pulling them. Compare the output with the mobs you think you should be pulling and it will tell you why. This will notify you if you have no nav path, or out of zradius, or regular radius, or on ignore, etc.

Many Thanks! I will try that next HA I do. Last time my SK just stood around doing nothing(everyone else was on chase and FM).

First off love the plugin. I got 1 tiny issue.

Upon death, my character is trying to camp. I know this is a feature of kissassist, but I am not running KA with the plugin, and was wondering if there was perhaps something in your vid that I missed.

we abbbbbsolutely 100% do not camp sounds like you *are* running kissassist, or another macro or some other plugin that is doing that - perhaps mq2autocamp?

but no, 100% we don't camp.

Kissassist isn't loaded, but upon further inspection in plugin manager, it does appear autocamp was loaded.

Well found something on my little bitty Shadow Knight. Bash is messed up.. I am level 6 sk. I got a wooden shield off an orc so thought I would use it. Seems that 1. Keep getting message saying I need to use a shield for bash. (this just continues to spam the shd wnd.) I have tried a different shield still same thing tries to bash something but falls back to don't have a shield. 2. Also since it spams shield bash nothing else happens. No spells cast. Justs gets beatup a lot.

so you have a shield but it isn't a shield? or it is a shield?

is the shield unusuable by you but you can equip it?

we check "do i have and is it ready "Bash" and "do i have a shield and/or something that would allow me to bash without a shield like using Innoruuk's curse, or two-handed bash AA for warriors.

We would need to determine why eq simultaneous says you have a shield, but also that you need a shield to bash, implying that you dont.

have you tried relogging?

Can't replicate here. Have a shield equipped in my secondary slot, I bash as expected. no eq error about must have a shield.

I wonder if your item says it is a shield, but it isn't really a shield?

God I hate mowing the yard!!!!!!!! Well its done so now I can check. I thought it was a shield it looked like a shield and name said it was a wooden shield, but I will check and let you know....

yeah we're actually checking what the item type is - so it wouldn't be *your* fault that it was a shield --- but if you have the shield equipped and you can't bash because eq is saying you don't have one equipped - then i dunno what the answer is.

try paushing mq2eskay. and go and see if you can hit your bash button on a mob with that shield equipped. if eq says that you can't bash without a shield - then something with eq is acting up

they really should just not let you equip it imo lol. but at least it is what, red? showing that it isn't giving you any benefit?

I use a caster to pull and control my team. Everyone else is on auto-control, including my SK.

So far I own everything in the game, except doing the Avatar of War mission. My Sk does way too much damage and makes a mess of things.
If I go from Kissassit to this, what mode will I be using to be able to slow things down and have him keep agro and off-tank the Avatar?

How do people do this event with the tank being botted, with an SK that does too much damage?

you need to turn off burnallnamed, otherwise you're going to fire burns.

for missiosn ESPECIALLY this one, I would drive with your SK.

if you don't want it to do anything but stay on avatar, you can just leave him in any mode - tanking mode he'll stay on the boss unless you swap. manual mode you would have to target yourself and turn on attack.

I have a video of doing this video, i have the entire team in manual mode, and i manually select targets and call my dps to assist on adds, add by add
 
Noticed something with my SK, If I fight in first person my SK will look up while fighting Almost like it is uw. Not a big thing most of the time I play in sic mode and pull back to the camp but when he goes to hit he looks up and can't change the screen view till the fighting is over.

scroll your mouse out so you're not in 1st person, otherwise you're going to do the uw looking with stick

I pause all DPS automation during Phase 1 and only fight with my tank. Keep healers automated. I manually auto-attack with melee dps on the adds only, but only the tank ever hits AoW.

well. if you have the skeleton portion blocked, you won't recast to get the skeleton form (i recommend blocking the illusion if you're using autoremoveillusion)

you might be triggering azia by having your "checkforstuckgems" turned on - you can turn this off if you want to try and potentially unstick gems --- if you're manually casting anything not in manual mode and/or not in byos - you will cast azia and then cancel to try and un-stick potentially stuck gems.

if you would rather use beza OVER azia you can /shd usebeza on

but no, no way to turn of usage of the Azia/Beza. byos won't stop it either because its an AA, so we can check it without having to memorize a spell.

Anything you don't want recast from the line you can just add to your blocked spells - but outside of the illusion portion I don't know why you would do that (unless you run an enchanter and don't want to fight about mana regen). but yeah, we're going to cast the things that you need to do sk stuff

well "casting it on cooldown" is very different than your described "casting it when a buff drops"

and are you sure there isn't a conflicting spell? like getting in a battle with enchanter regen?

i'll look into it.

edit: multiple sk's logged in - not casting azia on cooldown

what rank is your azia? anything special about your group or your aa? did you read the link to the FAQ about enchanter regen?

Now that were on Ldon on Rizlona I'm noticing my SK isn't using the quick nuke undead line, Scythe of Death/Darkness/Innoruuk. Any chance of adding a setting for this line of spells?

you can byos and memorize it, it will use DDUndead, always has. there won't be a toggle or loadout option to memorize it (we actually do memorize it as a spell filler when you get gem 9 at 55 in OoW before you get powerjolt at 72, but we're not doing a toggle or loadout specifically to load it) - same way we don't memorize all the dots and such
