Hi guys!

I made a goofy group, a Nec with 5 sk as "pets". Lvl 90ish
But there is one problem I cant find a way around.

/bcg //assist <mynec>
/pause 10
/bcg //attack

This dosent work.
Only way is to make the mob hit me once, then 3-4/5 of my "pets" gets of their asses and help me.

The SKs are on assist in MQ2Eskay
NEC is on Tank in Kissassist.ini, and MT,MA and puller in game
I dont want the SK to MT and taunt(then they'll die)

Anyone have an idea?

currently and for the time being - your "ma" toon need to be within melee range fighting the mob to get assisted - so you will need to have your necro up close to the mob for them to automagically assist you

if you just want a hotkey to make them start attacking your necro's target.

Best to have them in manual mode and issue something like my "AssMe" key. Its not particularly fancy, but it works exactly like i need it for.

Code:
/bcg //assist ${Group.MainTank}
/bcg //attack on
/bcg //nav target

and the sk's will only do taunting/tanking type stuff if set to a tank mode or assigned as such (so they won't do that stuff in the setup you describe)

Thank you, Sic

Thank you also for these programs. Im kinda grownup now, with wife, kids and other non-eq things.
Thanks to MQ2 I can play the game I love, but be able to leave computer a few mins now and then even when in a dungeon for familythings.

🙏

Edit:
/bcg //assist ${Group.MainTank}
/pause 10
/bcg //attack on
/pause 10
/bcg //nav id ${Target.ID}
Did the trick 👍

I have been seeing a lot (like 10-20 in a row) of 'Your ability failed. Timer has been reset.' messages when initiating burns on named (particularly notice on Zlandicar, but happens elsewhere). Seems to happen on Gift of the Quick Spear, Visage of Death (or at least these are the ones I noticed last round). Still interleaves combat abilities with the attempts, but some fights are over before Gift or Visage are successful.

These are being attempted while fighting (I just hit attack on Zland, not initiating burn manually), but I thought these were effectively insta-cast.

Anyone else seeing this?

I saw that too, i meant to see if i could figure out why. I know some of the effects the mobs do make you insta interrupt casts, not sure if it does that to insta cast aas or not. Ive only seem this happen on a couple of the new dragons.

Ill take a look when i get a chance.

Its actually likely full buffs. Ill see if i can confirm later.

For stuff we check stacking on, we check if ur buff slots are full, but we dont for things that stacking isnt an issue (or usually an issue).

Having issues pulling on SK in Dulak. Seems am outrunning pulls and loosing aggro. Thought it was tethered, but I can pull if in manual. Also will not pull from the Windscorn even though setup is within the Pull radius and arc and the zhigh and zlow. Am running CTWN. Is this just an area issue, i was able to pull from another vessel without issues in another area of Dulak.

so upon running back to camp the mob de-aggros you?

not really anything we can do with that. --- you could try using less run speed, or making your toon walk.

I would just suggest that you should try huntertank with your group on chase.

and you can /shd debugpull on once and it will tell you any it doesn't pull a mob - so that will tell you why that mob is not pulled. usually ends up being an issue with your mesh, out of radius/Zradius or you have it on ignore.

I'll try that debug to see if it shows anything, the pull is always erratic even pulling on sictank, huntertank for me in this area might prove dangerous especially if i go up on the Windscorn as last time the entire deck aggro'd on me and wiped.

Might be a while before i can check it out, curiosity killed the cats. Just had to attack on of the parading Midshipmate / Shipmates that went walking by non-aggoing on the group, it trigger everyone of them after that... they were +4 levels above the highest of group... made half way thru before mana ran out on crew. :f5: :f5: :f5: :f5:

When I go to use MQ2eskay plugin the plugin loads ok...sic tank works....but when I go to puller tank nothing happens and I get a message the mesh for the zone has to be added. I click the mesh updater in Very Vanilla and nothing is downloading or checking on the 510 zones...the screen to update doesn't even show anymore....I have totally deleted and reinstalled Very Vanilla....but still no luck....help please

You can run meshupdater.exe from VV's directory too. that's the same thing. (or if you're comfortable, you can try meshgenerator.exe)

Q. Trying to go mode 1 but says I need a mesh?
A. The plugins require mq2nav for movement. You will need to run the mesh updater in your RedGuide's Launcher. Please watch the video > HERE <

If this is where you clicked to update and its not working

1609431250852.png

If that's where you're running the mesh updater and you're still having issues then you can download the meshes directly > HERE <

The meshes go into your MQ2 -> Release - > MQ2Nav folder

Hey Sic, that worked with manually installing the mesh files in the MQ2Nav folder...but for some damn reason the updater doesn't work...I guess I'll just update manually every few days....thanks

So happy New Years all!!!
My sk is running cwtn plug-in eskay and while in ST piling my new zerker; I’ve noticed that when pulling named my sk stops auto attack and just stands there. Any idea what I can do to fix this?
The rest of the team beats the names down but he just takes it and if I don’t manually hit auto attack he acts like he is in pause mode. Idk not a big deal as I am not really afk but I’m nervous about it lol!

you probably need to adjust your campradius, likely the mob is outside your campradius, but is a large enough mob he can still hit you.

OK, I got the Debug run and it seems most are a result of "NO MQ2Nav Path" this would be all on the vessel Windscorn. The 2 at the bottom of plank to vessel I can't seem to tell which ones they are. Shad does attempt to pull, they just do not follow back to camp, they chase for a second and run back to spawn loc. This is all under PullerTank setting.

yup, if you are getting a no mq2nav path - this means you have a break in your mesh somewhere and would need to clean up your mesh

I set my camp radius for the sk small like 15 or so; the rest were about 30 ish. The idea was to keep the sk from pullin up the wall.

when I goback to the pl group I’ll try and get a recording to show y’all what I’m talkin about.
Note though he only stops attacking on named he will attack any adds lol!

15 is a very very very small camp radius. a mob can and will punch you from outside that campradius and you won't engage because its not inside.

I don't need a recording. 15 is a small enough camp radius that the mob can be outside the camp and still hit you - in which case you won't engage because you have designated your campradius to be 15.

sounds like the named is sitting just outside your camp.

I would adjust your camp to something more appropriate

Yep, I confirmed that is correct.

I love this plugin very much. That said, I would love it more if I didn't HAVE to have my illusion icebone skeleton up. I've tried AutoRemoveIllusion, but then he just stands there recasting his covenant spell like an idiot. I've reviewed commands, but I see nothing on this. Is there a cheat code I don't know about that will fix this? If not, it seems silly to have AutoRemoveIllusion as an option when it effectively paralyzes your toon in a self-buffing loop.

well first of all - this is mq2status resource thread. I feel like you're asking about mq2eskay - so I'm going to move it to the mq2eskay thread - and in which case if you don't want icebone skeleton you should block the illusion and it won't recast to ensure you have that portion of the buff.

and it is in the FAQ

Q. I spam memorize my mana conversion / skeleton illusion spell?
A. You probably have auto remove illusion turned on, but don't actually have the illusion from this spell added to your blocked buffs. This will make you want to recast the spell. If you don't want to re-cast the spell to get the illusion, you will want to add it to your blocked buffs.

I do believe this belongs in the mq2eskay thread. Also have you tried blocking the illusion once it's on? I believe all the ctwn plugins check your blocked buffs before buffing.

Not sure about shaman but sk keeps chain casting Syl'Tor Covenant and chase hasn't been working very well.

I moved your mq2eskay post to the mq2eskay thread from the mq2shaman thread which is very much not about mq2eskay.

either A: you have this issue listed in the FAQ below - or B: you have something else overwriting your covenant which still "stacks" and you end up fighting with whoever else as they're overwriting your buff.

Ok, trying to setup a Dungeon Crawl Hotkey, using SHD as MT, Puller, MA. All others in Chaseassist mode. Current HotKey setup is... 3 running under CTWN's and 2 are Kiss

/bcga //returntocamp 0
/noparse /bcg //docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName} mode 2
/noparse /bcg //if (${Me.Class.ShortName.Equal[CLR]}) /dismount
/bcga //chaseon
/shd mode 8

It seems to be working mostly except Hunter mode is not the correct mode for this as it still automoves(pulls). It seems to be part of the Pull setting and goes random with no directional control. To small pull radius and i find myself fighting the Waiting for spawns and sitting. so guess am looking for hunter mode with a better control over direction movement.

Pretty much want to use this for moving from camp to camp in spots where difficult to invis to and meant to crawl... The Deep, and Sebilis zones for examples. Plus I like crawls for grinding and farming.

There is no automatic pulling mode that lets you pick what you fight next, that wouldn't be very automatic. If you want to pull yourself then go in manual mode, set yourself as MA and MT, then you can run around and pick whatever you want.

If you plan to pull back to a camp (just in case later you want to do this) you can use SicTank, which sets a camp at your current location but allows you free movement so long as nothing is currently in the campradius

Sic's "Moving Your Toons" Guide - CWTN Plugins etc

I have watch that a few times... and why I am asking if I missing something. I am at moment using the Sic Tank Mode (7). Tried Hunter and no control over where the gang goes. I think what I am asking for is something between Hunter and Sic a combination of the 2. Hunter will Auto anyting that is within the moving camp radius, Sic Tank has no camp radius so everyting is manual selection for targeting and attacking. Unless the Watch routine will take care of some of this as can set them to watch Healer and CC, which happen to be the 3 toons that draw the off aggro of other mobs. So what is needed is a moving camp radius with no pull radius ring and auto targets and attacks, just like the PullerTankmodes or hunterTank modes. I thought SicTank would do this but it's not. And i have bad habit of getting several at once and in the Deep and in Sebilis not everything is mezzable, I do know i need to set the Watch feature as right now is only set to healer but Tank doesn't switch targeting if Healer gets aggro, IK i do not fully understand this feature yet either and still learning it.

I go over this in the move your toons guide. If you're going to move around you will want to reset your camp when you get to a spot you want to have the plugin target around for you so you will react to mobs around you unless you want to target yourself.

"sictank has no camp raidus" - this is not true at all - you can even see your "red circle" on the map where the camp radius is set.

Or you can make a stupid sized camp radius - as you will react to mobs on xtarget entering your camp radius - I don't really recommend this, but it will achieve what you're trying to accomplish.

Group watch is for holding pulls depending on their mana/end etc. We react to mobs being on xtarget and being inside your camp.

I know you have this covered somewhere in the middle of the video, but I think i keep missing some of the actual details on it. I will rewatch again and see if I can pickup on what I am missing on, I know in the video you used single targeted areas in wide open maps. I am talking about closed in areas with lots of mobs and not singles. Move ahead a bit and have 3-4 mobs, kill and move more...

I agree as have tried this, works great for if I want to just seek and destroy a zone without rhyme or reason of direction. Works like Pullertank with an OTM group.

Group watch is for holding pulls.

So this will allow the tank to keep the aggro off cleric, bard, and enchanter if set to healer & CC?

these are the modes:
Code:
Mode:
/shd mode - Manual|Assist|Chase|Vorpal 0|1|2|3|4|5|6|7
Has access to all of the CWTN plugin "Modes"
Mode 0 - Manual --- Manual
Mode 1 - Assist --- assist your MA and returns to camp
Mode 2 - ChaseAssist --- chasses and assists your MA
Mode 3 - Vorpal Mode (Assist but no camp or chase)
Mode 4 - Tank --- tank stuff
Mode 5 - PullerTank --- pull and then tank
Mode 6 - Puller Assist pull and then assist MA
Mode 7 - SicTank Mode --- sets a camp, and does tank stuff, but doesn't return/sit down
Mode 8 - Hunter Tank mode --- runs around and kills stuff

if you want to huntertank - it will huntertank - if you are manually crawling around in sictank mode, you will want to reset your camp when you get to a spot you want to do camp related stuff on. Which is explained and demonstrated in that video guide i linked.

no. Group watch is for holding pulls depending on their mana/end etc while in a pull mode - pullertank, pullerassist, or huntertank.

We react to mobs being on xtarget and being inside your camp. so if you have moved to a new location away from your camp while in sictank mode and you want to automatically attack those mobs you either a: need to reset your camp since you are now no longer in your camp, and want this spot to be your new camp, or b: have your campradius large enough to cover all that area - which is what i already said in previous response :'(

OK, makes better sense and why I not fully understood as Pulls were being held for this without having to change who to watch (think still set to healer) as had the ManaStart/Ends set and pulls are held when any of the toons were low on mana, typically resulting in the SK.

So, if I now am fully understanding this, this is the part I missed, the HotKey to reset camp... I'll have to relook thru your list of hotkeys as I do not remember seeing this one, I have most in use or modified to my use. So when I am crawling along I would just hit "Campreset" everytime I move forward to next aggro point and each time I move the group forward.

yup, if i'm roaming around in sictank mode - anytime i get somewhere that i want to start autotanking around me, I will hit my /shd resetcamp button. Probably my most used button

When having auto-remove illusion on, my sk gets in a loop of perpetually casting venrils covenant. is there a way to stop that?

hi oogey
yup
as in the > FAQ <

Q. I spam memorize my mana conversion / skeleton illusion spell?
A. You probably have auto remove illusion turned on, but don't actually have the illusion from this spell added to your blocked buffs. This will make you want to recast the spell. If you don't want to re-cast the spell to get the illusion, you will want to add it to your blocked buffs.

tl;dr - block the illusion if you don't want the illusion otherwise we're going to recast it.

The illusion portion is in my blocked spells list. also tried it with blocking all of them and the same thing happens.

if you have the illusion blocked it doesn't recast it purely for the illusion - only if its not blocked.

you mentioned autoremove illusion as if the illusion portion of this was relevant to the question. if you had the skelly illusion blocked it wouldn't try and re-cast the spell - and it wouldn't have anything to remove.

I'd double check you have the correct illusion blocked " Illusion: Iksar Skeleton" or w/e
