Plugin - MQ2Eskay (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

I've look and looked. I'm not seeing anything that answers my question specifically. What I'm trying to do is set my pull range. On I run my SK on Puller Tank and she wont pull mobs, even if there's a mob directly in front of her line of sight. I've tried setting the pull radius to max and camp radius down so that way she'll run back to the group but nothing seems to be working. I'm not very tech savvy so if anyone has a solution to this problem I'd be much appreciative. Or if this question has been answered already, point me in the right direction. Thanks all.

Did you ever find the answer to this? I have been trying to find the answer myself and falling short to.
 
Sometimes you need to adjust zradius a bit too.
Do you have mq2nav loaded?

Pulling & Camp Related:
/shd CampRadius ## - Sets the campradius to the value provided. If no value is provided it outputs the current value.
/shd Radius ## - This is your pull radius
/shd zRadius ## - This is your vertical pull radius
/shd CampOverlapBuffer - is the distance out of Camp to help group members (assigned puller excluded).
/shd DoCampfire - Turns on dropping a campfire
/shd CampfireDistance ## - Create a new campfire if campfire is more than this distance from camp.
/shd Ignore - adds your target to the pullignores.ini file in your release folder - will skip this mob in the pull routine.
/shd Unignore - removes your target or typed name from your pullignores.ini file in your release folder.
/shd ShowIgnore - Outputs a list of NPC's being ignored. May show the previous zone if you haven't gone into puller mode in your current zone.
/shd Groupwatch - 1|2|3|4 - Everyone, CC&Healer, Healer, Self
/shd HpMedStart # - percentage of health you want to start waiting at.
/shd HpMedEnd # - percentage of health you want to stop waiting at.
/shd ManaMedStart # - percentage of mana you want to start waiting at.
/shd ManaMedEnd # - percentage of mana you want to stop waiting at.
/shd EndMedStart # - percentage of endurance you want to start waiting at.
/shd EndMedEnd # - percentage of endurance you want to stop waiting at.
/shd LevelMin # - Where # is the lowest level NPC you want to pull.
/shd LevelMax # - Where # is the maximum level NPC you want to pull.
/shd PullArc # - Sets an arc in the direction of your camp heading to the degress provided. Shows the Arc on the map displaying that area.
/shd GoToCamp - runs back to your camp (like if you were in sictank mode)

hey sic, I assume you meant, do I target the person I expect it to assist? Do I do that before loading plugin or something?

You assign who is main assist in your group window.

Shd mode 1, will put your sk in assist mode, and will assist whomever is assigned as main assist.

Typically most folks have their sks as their tank, so they would be assigned as main tank and main assist in the group window, and in a tanking mode (not an assist mode)

Ok so I clicked on Vorpal and boom he went to fight.. but when I just click regular assist.. he sits there riding the bench lol

Is your sk the tank?

If he is, put him in a tank mode, like 4.

If he is not, mode 1 will assist whomever is assigned as mainassist once the mob enters your camp radius
 
I would definitely check out the cwtn videos in my signature. The mq2war video goes over tanking modes, the how i move my toons vid will be good too

i have watched most of your videos lol my dilemma is that i dont necessarily use him for the tank,, i have him assist my mage. my main in a chanter so I lead with chanter, I just need the sk to step in and do his thing

Well if he is assigned as assist, he will assist the main assist when the mob is in your camp near the ma, you might just want a larger campradius and mode 2 or something if u are going to have your assist be the mage. Even as assist if he's assigned as main tank in the group window, he will do taunting and tank abilities

Every time I login to Everquest the settings on MQ2Eskay revert to the default ones, how can I make sure they stay as I set them? IE auto dismount is very annoying to have to uncheck every time I log in...
 
If you use the checkbox, it will only last during your playing session.
If you want the change to be permanent, you have to use the commands.
Like: /shd autodismount off

Use the commands on each setting you want to change.

A. This is intentional. The UI acts as a "hot swap" allowing you to adjust on the fly. If you want to "save" your settings, adjust it with the slash command.

You'll want to type nav ui and select the check box to render the mesh in game. I'm willing to bet there is a break in the mesh. Near the queen there are several breaks, including the part where you cross the water.

The area is littered with "web" which in the mesh gen appears as walls.

I don't know what these look like from the mesh updater, since I make all of my own meshes. I've attached a copy of my mesh if you'd like to give that a try.

nav ui is not popping anything up on the sk account, however it works on my chars running KA. thank you for the help
 
if /nav ui is not working, you should unload mq2 nav /plugin mq2nav unload and then load it again /plugin mq2nav load on the character it is not working for.

if you're looking for faster killing/farming style - you should consider trying mode 8 - hunter tank, with the rest of the group on chase so you run to the mobs instead of to the mobs and then back to camp
 
I'm looking and I guessed I missed it. I want to do a few things with my SK and this but I do not want it to tank or agro. We have another SK that will be doing that I want to just use my 2h and DPS and such. Is there a specific mode that works for that? Assist seems it would do that and then go into tank mode. Sorry if It's been answered before.

any tanking mode or assigned as main tank in group window = gonna do tank stuff including threat type things
assist mode and not assigned as main tank in group window = not gonna do tank stuff

from the FAQ:

Q. How do I make it not taunt?
A. You will use your tanking type stuff (including taunt) if you are in a tank mode (like 4, 5, 7, or 8), or you are assigned as Main Tank in your group window assignment. If you don't want to do tanking stuff (like taunt) put yourself in a non-tank mode (like 0 manual, 1 assist, etc) and don't be assigned as main tank in your group window. This will allow you to on-the-fly swap to doing tank stuff and non-tank stuff (like if you are off-tanking and need to swap with another tank). You can just quickly adjust your mode, or group assignment.


So if you want your sk to do assisting type stuff you can use an assist mode, and as long as they are also not assigned as main tank, they won't do hate increasing threat-related things

Loving MQ2EsKay so far and have been using it to great effect but i have a small issue. I'm usually grinding ghouls in the valley near the EW zone in and my tank just will not pull 4 ghouls to the north west of my normal camp spot. I've set /zradius to everything from 0 to 700 and ive checked the navmesh and that all seems fine. The Sk pulls mobs from higher and lower and further in all other directions just these 4 seem immune. If SK reports waiting for viable targets I can run her over and pull these mobs manually but they never get pulled in mode 5. I have been assuming that /zradius just refers to the z axis deflection from initial camp height (though im unsure how the word radius applies in that case)

yes, Zradius is vertical distance from where you are.

/shd Radius ## - This is your pull radius
/shd zRadius ## - This is your vertical pull radius

you can use your in game map with height filter and put it the same as your zradius and see if the mobs are still visible.

likely you either can't reach them based on mesh issue, or you don't have your Zradius set to an appropriate size.

have you done a /nav ui and then rendered navigation mesh to see if there are breaks getting to them? or if the mobs are standing on an unmeshed spot etc?
 
You can also do a

/shd debugpull on once

and it will spit out all the mobs and why it skipped them
 
out of order:
The nav mesh seems intact to, from, and around the mobs in question
All the mobs that are being pulled are called "a cold ghoul" and there are no other mobs being bypassed
the mobs appear with a map height set to anything above 40 and current zradius is 200
debugpull lists like 200 entries but from what i can see the only things on there labeled a cold ghoul have the reason "not within pullarc" or similar wording

I assume the pull arc is as shown on the map since that is applied by the addon not me. Mobs at the right edge, but not beyond, are pulled regularly and mobs further out and near the left edge are pulled specifically a single dire wolf/mammoth/griffin spawn only those 4 ghouls are immune

Additional:

Increased PullArc to 150 so left edge is now far beyond those 4 mobs and still they are ignored and SK runs straight past them to a further spawn every cycle
