Plugin - MQ2Eskay 3.1.52471.11

Pullertank still not working for me, the mq2berzerker pullerassist works in the same zone so I don’t believe it’s a nav issue. I did go ahead and update my spells so that /shd missing says there’s nothing else.

I did install the update, exited the game completely, updated everything, logged back in.
Not sure what else I can check?
 
make the MQ2 window take up the screen from top to bottom and about the width of half the screen. (Not the plugin window. The MQ2 Window)

turn on puller tank

then type /shd debugpull on

this is going to spam your MQ2 window (Not the shadow knight plugin window) with information about what the plugin thinks is the reason it cannot pull. This text is going to go by VERY fast. Press Shift + Windows Key + S

this will darken your screen and freeze frame it. Click the top left of the MQ2 window and drag it to the bottom right and then let go of the mouse.

Send me a PM with the screenshot by opening a PM with me, and then hitting CTRL + V

then hit send. We shall see what the plugin thinks the problem is.
 
Nothing. I don’t think the problem is in the pulling. The pullertank mode is not activating.

it says it’s inPuller Tank mode but the map doesn’t change to give the pullradius circle

im not getting any messages telling me it’s dropping back to a different mode, though
 
I haven't got any feedback yet on the PullArc or LevelMin/LevelMax options yet for those of you who were asking about it.

You can also now set minimum and maximum levels to pull using /shd LevelMin 30 or /shd LevelMax 35, so keep your puller from grabbing those nasty overpowered mobs.

I have a question on the connection between AoECount and UseAOE toggle. The way read it, my SK should not be using any AoE abilities unless UseAoE is enabled. However, I have found that as soon as the number of mobs exceeds AoECount he starts using AoE aggro abilities and spells regardless of the UseAoE toggle. This got me into a bit of trouble during the Darkness Howls the other day when I accidentally pulled the entire platform onto myself, including the non-KOS mobs.

Is this how it is supposed to work? What does UseAoE actually control, if not the AoE aggro spells/abilities?

the use aoe is for aoe damaging abilites. the aoe threat abilities are still going to fire based on your aoe count - that is indended. you will only fire them if the number of mobs on your xtarget match the mobs in the range of your aoe threat and that number is equal to or greater than your aoe count


So id u also dont want to do aoe threat, turn your aoecount to like 99 or something

Yes it should cast origin when that eq bug happens
it uses azia to break the stuck gem. I specifically do not use origin - because the idea of maybe possibly origining out makes me shudder

/shd checkforstuckgems on --- it is defaulted on, but possibly you turned it off?

I have this same problem with assist as well. He just sits there. If I target a mob and auto attack he kicks into gear and attacks then goes afk agian once the mob is dead.

I would double check that you have group ma/mt assigned correctly.

I have seen an issue recently where eq/mq2 doesn't think you are assigned when you are - so try reforming your group and set your group settings.

if he is not assisting the tank, it *usually* means either a: the mob isn't inside your camp radius, b: your tank isn't set as tank/ma, c: the weird eq/mq2 issue i mentioned before, or d: you don't have a valid mesh and you're getting kicked into manual mode.

nurd's personal issue ended up being an issue related to how we were checking for voice of thule and how we were casting it (at lower lvl) - which has been corrected

Is there a way to set a certain mob to ignore. There are unattackable NPCs near my camp and all he wants to do is pull him. Thanks again. Love this and well worth $20.

you can target the mobs and /shd ignore or add them by name with /shd ignore sic

you can see what mobs you have ignored in a particular zone by /shd showignore

you can remove mobs you have ignored by /shd unignore

You can find all (nearly) the commands on the mq2eskay resource Commands page > HERE <
I also demonstrate it in the mq2eskay video > HERE < (definitely check it out if you haven't as it explains some of the options and toggles and such)
 
Hey All. Is there a Loot Function associated with this? I know in KA I can set it to loot everything. Unfortunately my SK has all the big bags since this group is new and of a different server, so I cant make the assists Masterlooters in my INI...
 
for some reason mq2eskay is ignoring some named in sathir's tomb, i've checked the pullstoignore list an they are not in it, but are still being ignored even tho the tank is being hit by them. Any idea's ?

so by ignore do you mean "not pulling them", or since you said being hit by them, by ignore do you mean "is not fighting them"? The pull ignores just skips them when you're pulling, it doesn't make you not fight them if you're fighting them.

I would double check the size of your campradius - if they are outside your campradius you're not going to fight them, even if they are hitting you.

the named get pulled as add's but are ignored in camp, so the tank just sits an takes hits without attacking / defending, hmm they are like spectral's so maybe they hover lol. you know what i did reduce the size of my camp radius recently butit hasnt had any problems until now so let me check an see if thats what happened, i set camp to 10 instead of the default, to keep em from aggroing outside assisting range of the melee.

I have discovered something recently. If my SK, that is running MQ2Eskay in Sic Mode dies on the pull, when he gets rezed, he will instantly reset the camp to his current location of his death, puts down a camp fire, and if the mob that killed him is still close he will pull it and path to it, and start fighting it. Why is he resetting camp after getting rezed? Is it because he is doing that as a 1st action after reengaging Sic Mode?

Redbot updated MQ2Eskay with a new update entry:

- Corrected an issue where the memorized spell "Voice of Thule" would cause issues.
- VoiceOfThule option now only does the AA again.
- Resist/Endure Cold/Disease lines now don't require you have a target before they try to cast if memorized.
-- It is still only being used on yourself. This is by design.

Sic tank doesn't pull.
I never said it did, I only said I was in Sic Tank mode, maybe I should have said, while driving the character around maunally using the Sic Tank mode, and pulling manually with it, on my way back to the camp, I got killed, and then the actions I explained earlier took place, lol I hope that is a bit clearer.

To further clarify here are events in order of execution.

1. SK dies.
2. SK is close enough to the cleric to get a rez.
3. Gets rez and auto accepts.
4. SK moves camp to rez location, and puts down a new campfire.
5. Mob is detected.
6. Pathing to mob starts.
7. Mob is engaged.
8. Driver frantically trying to get nav off, unstuck from mob, and get SK back to camp so it does not die again.

I got the latest build of eskay and my /shd show window seems bugged. I have reloaded, reinstalled it. Not sure if its isolated to me.

Did u ever copy the ui filer out of the mq2 release uifiles default folder to elsewhere?
I believe @ChatWithThisName sent red the updated file to go with this last update.

So will have to see why it didnt go through

yup just checked. the files are correct in the update (i just did a fresh install on another PC and everything is loading acorrectly)

Sounds like you and others must be copying the file to your everquest ui or default folder (you don't need to do that and you will break yourself if/when changes happen). delete those files from anywhere else, and just let the plugin load it from the MQ2->Release->Uifiles->Default folder
 
Pulling Arc = Math is hard.

I discussed it briefly with sic about doing pulling using arcs. I've not managed to look into it because I haven't had a desire to math lately. I can agree that it's not something I've ever used and I'm sure that is the case for others as well. But something I learned pretty quickly writing this plugin is that not all people want to do the same thing, or have the same play style and providing options has been a non-stop part of development of all of my plugins.

With that said, a lot of features that were "easy" to add, have already been added or are on deck to be added. If I'm doing pulling arcs I want to create the logic to show the arc on the map the same as I do the circles for radius, camp, pull ability range.

So while it's not immediately planned to be added. Eventually it will get it's day in development. That doesn't mean that it will be prior to release of the current 3 plugins we have in development (Eskay, Bst, Cleric) but might find itself integrated later on down the road. Most of the development time for the latest three has been spent handling buffs, castings, pets, healing, and making windows available to all classes without rewriting the book.


I just noticed that this feature has been added, I wanted to come by and thank you for this!

This sounds right. I made a different folder to point mq2 too, because all my ini files would get wiped when reinstalling so I don’t use mq2/release. But since I don’t use kissassist anymore this shouldn’t be an issue.

Is it possible to have the pulling arc shown on the map before you turn on pull mode? Maybe in a different color to avoid confusion? My SK goes into skeleton form and sits and I can’t determine his facing so I have to stand up, set the arc, turn pull mode on, then off again to check the arc, adjust as necessary.
 
You can set the LevelMin to a high number to prevent pulling while you setup.
/shd levelMin 200

you can then readjust using
/shd resetcamp

to alter your facing direction, and of course alter your pullarc
/shd pullarc 90
 
Nah, only the pull mode is going to display the pull ring.

Couple things tho

You could shrink your radius before u turn on mode 5, and then increase it once set.

You could use your in game compass

You could look at your arrow on your map

You could add the skeleton illusion to blocked buffs (i do this, i hate being a pile on the floor)

I didn't copy the file anywhere, and I double checked that it wasn't located anywhere else. So I just reinstalled from RedGuides Launcher and it's working fine now. chalking it up to just a glitch in the matrix or some shit. thanks for the response.
 
I've DL'd the latest VeryVanilla as of a few mins ago. Latest MQ2Eskay as well. Everything loads fine. Dashboard is there, all the settings look normal. Literally nothing changed on my end except new files today. I've shut everything down(EQ included), restarted PC and started fresh. Same thing.

He works fine in Puller mode. Runs off and retrieves things to kill. Does his normal routines. But in Tank mode, where I could normal drag a mob over him and he'd jump up and grab it.... now he couldn't care less and just sits there.

Possibly related.... it also no longer pops up on screen after kill showing DPS, Exp, etc. I used to get a mini-report kinda after every kill. No more.

Help?
working as per usual here on a couple of PCs.

I would double check you are in the correct mode and assigned as group main tank/MA in the group window
