Is there a setting to prioritize slowing all mobs in camp? The situation I'm currently in has me fighting mobs that my mezz spell is too low to target. When I pull extra my enchanter slows the MAs target and then stands there while my healer gets beat to death.

edit: I acknowledge this is a low level (59) problem that will resolve itself as I level. Just wanted to ask in cased I missed something in the settings.

thanks, was originally cause dbg naming error, but i didn't catch the update.

thanks dude!

So now it's loading the 105 Enticer's Unity ...lol these damn new roman numeral extensions..

Should be 130 Enticer's Unity IX
I'm not sure that i rebuilt after this was pushed, but whatever the case is, i updated it

Diff:
- "Enticer's Command",
+ "Enticer's Command XV",

cwtn and i were waiting till RG came back up to push a build off - i'll do that here in a minute

I am having trouble with my enchanter will not charm with Boltran's Agacerie. I made sure I had changes the Charm from charm to Command he just will not use the spell. If I drop back to Allure he still charms and recharms. Also on a side note no matter which MQ2 i am using it keeps mounting and dismounting until i deactivate clicky.

Howdy bobaye

That sounds frustrating. That spell is in your "command" charm group, so you'd need to be using that.

What does your plugin spells say it uses currently for command? Boltran's only goes up to 53 (which might be diff on a special ruleset server, but macroquest doesn't handle that)

Re: mount / dismount - some mounts aren't good candidates for add clicky because they don't work like more modern ones so.

You'd have to say which mount

I will say I am on Fangbreaker server Plugin is using the right spell and I am trying to use Verdant Hedgerow Leaf or the Bestowed mount from Character Boost both are doing it.

Please don't make me keep on having to delete your images with toon names in them.

People absolutely are losers who will report you and get you banned.

Anyhow, yep it says the correct spell, again, I'm not sure your that server has special mez/charm limits that differ from what eq tells mq. I opened an mq issue on this a while ago, unfortunately no work around for that.

Yah that is probably a mount that won't work with addclicky but I can take a look this evening

Yea it is weird if I use RGmercs it uses it just fine it just will not, or I am missing how to set it up to Tash before recharming.
Well we're not communicating super well here so let me be direct to help narrow it down.

What is the level limit of the spell on your server?
What level mobs are you fighting?
Did you check your charm ignores?

I'll try and replicate this evening

Upper limit of the spell is is level 53 Mobs I am fighting in Plane of Innovation and Plane of Nightmare mobs are 50 to 53. There are no names on my charm ignore list.
I am just thinking its something with Fandbreaker I switched to another enchanter on FV and everything works fine the Mount and spell.

Lvl 53 Enchanter charm spell "Boltran's Agacerie" does not appear to charm. Checked on mobs in multiple zones (all below level 53). BYOS "Allure" did in fact charm.

Ignore, I scrolled up. I didn't even know there were options on which charm to use.

yeah it is weird - there's nothing special we're doing with boltran's agacerie that we're not doing elsewhere, so i don't know yet

ok i think i have it resolved

so, not only was this my mistake, but it was back in November, using Demand or Command charm types didn't work at all - it didn't have anything specifically to do with that spell itself

thanks for the info and sorry for the troubles @BOBAYE24 and @Gambler

@Gambler @BOBAYE24 i made the updates and fired off a new build - can ya'll let me know it works as expected when you get a chance

thanks again <3

Nevermind still can't get it to work. What determines if the enchanter mezzes a mob versus charming it? I seem to have a really hard time to get it to charm anything.

Use charm on
Charm type selected you want to use (charm, command, demand)
No pet up, including familiars
Mobs on xtarget (2 or more) not on charm ignore that match the level requirements, etc.

Ensure you're not using the new UI engine - we warn you about it, so don't ignore it if you are.

Thanks. I think my issue was not enough mobs on xtarget. It would be nice if there was an option for the situation where you always want to keep a specific pet and keep it charmed full time.

Edit: Doesn't seem to be it either. Have only gotten my enchanter to charm a few times. All the times only after reloading the plugin. On Fangbreaker and my current charm spells is Beguile, but had the same issue when it was "Charm"
We attempt to recharm your previous pet - yep

If nothing is left except the pet though does it start mezzing it instead of recharming?

Also I completely restarted EQ on the Enchanter and things seem to be working now so not sure what was going on.

Is there a way to clear the locked/re-charm pet? I think my issue is basically I'm running around in chase mode. Sometimes a pet gets mezzed and abandoned and the enchanter refuses to charm anything else because the old pet is still alive.

no, not atm

It would be really helpful if there was a keep pet option that would keep a charm pet even if there is nothing else on xtarget. Right now if you keep a pet in camp and want to keep that pet it just stays mezzed until the next pull. Also if possible it would be nice if a stun could be used for recharm instead of long duration mez that puts the pet out of commission.

Sorry about that, it sounds frustrating.

I updated so you don't require 2+ xtargets to charm, and we will try and recharm your pet as long as it is not out of range, so make sure you're updated.

Unfortunately, we're not gonna start nuking stuff to break mez (that isn't our ma's target), feel free to attack it so it is not mezzed and we'll recharm it. It is a more complicated scenario than it sounds, and the enchanter just went around blasting any and everything it could easily turn into very unexpected results

Just updated. Thanks. This is so much better it's re-charming now without me having to get another target aggroed. One issue I noticed though I have "TashThenCharm" turned on, but it's not tashing the charm target. Also is there any way to get it to use PBAE stun like Color Skew when it does a re-charm?

i'll give that a thought - we'd still have all the same checks to ensure that we don't aggro *additional mobs*, i'm inclined to be a no, but i'll give it some more considersation

the tash then charm seems to be correct and working correct - i guess if this was your previous tashed target, it might not check it again - but would mean tash would have had to have worn off (or still be tashed), let me have a look/test

i'll see if there's changes we'll make and update if so

thanks

I think I was mistaken on the Tash before charm not working. It seems to be working for me now. Thanks again for making the xtarget update.

When you get a chance can you check the tash before charm setting. After more testing it doesn't seem to tash before charm so I often end up with a charm pet with no tash that keeps breaking and then it keeps recharming without tashing first.

Well. I mentioned a scenario, is that the scenario it is happening under?

I am having issues with my MQ2Enchanter, I think...For background info: I am catching him up to my main group. For this discussion, he was added to the group at level 109. The group I joined him to has a 116 Shadow Knight tank as the highest level. I am running MQ2Grind Gnome Memorial Mountain instances to catch the enchanter up. At level 109, the enchanter never once cast a mez (single target or AoE) and there are a ton of 2-4 pulls in this MQ2Grind instance.

Important info:
  1. Single target mez that he has loaded is Chaotic Delusion (level 108 spell that mezes up to level 113). This was never cast on any pull of 2-4 mobs in multiple instances (probably 15-16 runs).
  2. His AoE mez at level 109 is the level 108 AoE mez called Anodine Stare. It makes sense that he never cast this as its max level is 108.
  3. In his ignores tab there are nothing listed in any of the categories.
  4. He has single target mez and aoe mez options selected in settings of MQ2Enchanter.
  5. All mobs in the instance are level 109-111.
  6. Once he leveled to 110 and got the new AoE mez: Transfixing Stare (max level 113 AoE mez) he DID use this mez on pulls of 3 or more.
  7. Once he leveled to 110, he still never once used the Chaotic Delusion single target mez on pulls with 2 mobs in it.
Is this working as intended?

hi jalerian,

you have UseChaotic turned on, which probably means it is getting used to attack your ma's target for the twincast and then is on cooldown and timing just coincidentally doesn't work in your favor

if you want to use your "regular" single mez, you will want to turn off usechaotic
Q. Why does it cast Chaotic on the mob we're fighting?
A. We use Chaotic for purposes of the twincast it gives.
If you don't want it to use Chaotic you can /enc UseChaotic off

Q. Why am i not memorizing my Single Target Mez?
A. You probably have usechaotic turned on, in which case we use chaotic mez. If you want to memorize your single target mez, you would want to turn that off.
