Plugin - MQ2Enchanter 3.1.52471.11

I might be having an issue. I am not sure when this started because I don't use the enc much now that I fixed the bard, but my enc will continuously cast Throttling grip. i am not able to make it stop even with a pause. he targets my group members and keeps casting it like he is trying to buff them.

Can you show an image of mq2enchanter paused yet it saying it is casting throttling grip

Very strange. It was doing it earlier. I would camp off, pause on, double invis (pally and enc) look at invis display see all were invis, auto follow then the enc would keep trying to spam throttling grip on my clr. I was totally confused since it is a DoT and not a buff, but his spam then of course dropped invis and he would die, i'd drag to a safe spot and rez. he did this at least 3 times so i camped him and loaded bard.

Ok I am doing it right now. linking the picture after i cover the names.




I am not sure which spell he is trying to cast right now but he is getting the doesn't have a target error. When it happened earlier it was definitely that DoT spell

If the plugin is paused, it's not going to do anything. Your screenshot is mostly useless because you're not showing the plugin output.
You appear to have a macro or Lua or something running based on the output in normal mq window. Type /end

it is the same account as bard so that might be the issue?
i'll make sure I /end and see if that is my issue. I am not trying to blame the plugin because i love it, just first time this has happened to me and i want to have resolution. Haha she apparently landed a DoT on self while i was tabbed out :p rezzed her.

It appears you were right once again. I hit /end on that account and she is acting normal again. I guess this is further evidence of the need for MQ2bard :p

CWTN fixed the issue it was still running kissassist from the bard, i didn't /end before changing to the enc.

Just got back to EQ and found your amazing plugins. Still getting to grips with how best to set them all up in tandem but I have one question. Is it by necessity that the Enchanter will Mez every mob? Specifically when the pull is only one mob it will mez it the moment it gets inside campradius. Even when it is more than one mob it will often (always?!) mez the Main Assist's target.


Edit: Trying to debug it myself I turned on reportassist and showtargeting. The tank is set to MA but reportassist isn't generating any output. However I think I know why it was mez-ing everything. In order for my non-tanks to reach mobs that the tank intercepts at his max campradius I have to set theirs a little higher. So because I'm using a puller that isn't the tank and the plugin automatically makes the tank the MA (I tried changing it and it changed right back) a mob comes into the ENC's radius without being the tank's target. Ergo, mez.

Edit2: Lowering the ENC's range doesn't help. If the tank hasn't actively engaged the mob before the ENC detects it the Mez still gets cast. If the tank pulls it's fine. But I want the monk to pull.

Can anyone offer some config settings I could try to prevent this happening?

Sounds like you skipped this.

please check the mq2enchanter FAQ. There is a "mez" we use for the twincast buff.

if it isn't that, it means the mob isn't the target of your MA, as (outside of chaotic) we dontez your MAs target

The new design for the class plugin windows is excellent. Well done. However, the fact that they persistent to the screen front and do not relinquish priority to EQ windows is a step backwards. When I decide to open items just as bags, raid windows, etc, that share similar space, they should background. This aspect is a step backwards compared to the previous versions, not an improvement imo.

But this isn't that. I'm not high enough level for Chaotic use. My group's just mid 40's.

When the group MA = Tank Puller the ENC never casts, in my case, Entrance on the MA's target.
When the group MA = Tank and someone else = Puller the ENC will cast Entrance on the first mob to enter their range regardless of whether it is the target of the MA or not. The ENC and PAL can be sat in the exact same spot with the PAL at campradius=100 and the ENC at campradius=60 and the ENC will cast Entrance because the mob gets to 60 range before the PAL can hit it, even if the PAL has already targeted it.

Is there a way I can produce logs from the characters to show you? I've reproduced this over 500 times this morning alone. There's clearly a delay between the time the tank targets the mob and that information propogates to the enchanter. My latest test: If I sit on the tank and manually target the mob before it gets to camp the ENC has enough time to register this and then won't Mez.
How can I minimise that latency or increase the polling rate so I don't have to micro-manage that?

We do it as soon as eq/mq sees that.

I'd ensure you're using frame limiter and not overtaxing your pc

well, imgui is an overlay, that is overlaying eq - I have no idea if future eq ui would allow mq to put an overlay under/between other pieces in the future, but i'd suspect not

i am not sure if this has been answered yet, but is there a list of what spells/abilities are used during burns (i sadly don't know enchanters as well as my other toons)? i am trying to squeeze out little spurts of damage with my team by making different burn buttons for different phase bosses in Heroes are Forged mission, rather than completely blowing their loads all at once. i've watched Sic's video on the mission and i just don't have the coordination that he does, but i have found my own methods of getting past each boss. Now, it is just refining my strategy so i can get this mission on farm with no issues.

Please check the "how to ask for help", so i know if you expect your slow spell, and aa, etc what other buffs/debuffs are on the mob etc. I know you know to check there, because we've talked about it a rather disproportionate amount of times since you started using the cwtn class plugins. because otherwise i'd just say "it does.

we check for slowing helix if you have it, then we check for slow stick if you have it, then we check for your slow spell if you have it. but we check what slows the mob already has

Which one character is it? If it's your enchanter (using my plugin) then ensure you're in manual mode if you're wanting to manually do things (or have something else do the movement)

My enchanter seems to run towards adds until on top of the mobs and then begins to mez. The enchanter then runs back to the starting position. Enchanter is on assist. Its driving me nuts. In Hero's my enchanter was running around the walls and upstairs to mez mobs which weren't even on extended target.

Thanks. No the mobs were not on extended target. My enchanter would run around the corner, up a flight of stairs, aggro the mobs up there and mez them. They were most likely in the camp radius but not an extended target.

we just simply don't do anything to stuff not on xtarget, so not sure about that - it sounds like maybe your camp was set upstairs and it was running back to where you set it

I've been experiencing a problem recently where the Enchanter does not use any mez spells, single target or AE, and I am not sure why. I haven't changed anything, and I've double checked that UseMez, InterruptForMez, TashThenMez are all toggled on. Also, made sure the mobs are not mez immune. Not sure what I am doing wrong!

This plugin is great, there's often times where a pull goes awry and im about to evac out but the chanter holds down everything with ease.

I've gotten to the point where my chanter is max AA so I'd like to add a different char to the group. I know I can have him buff from outside of the group using xtarget, but is there a setup I could use so that he'd still mez adds?
