re: #2 - I may have poorly communicated this issue. It's not that I was confused by which version of haste was being memed. This issue is that the spell that is being memed isn't then getting cast. AT ALL. I'm currently manually recasting it every 90 mins. The plugin isn't making any attempt to recast haste of ANY kind. I've also seen this behavior at lower levels when the best haste I have is only single target. The group versions seem to work just fine when they are best. But, there seems to be a small logic bug on these mid-level versions when the single target version is superior to my best group haste.

no, i understood and I explained - we wouldn't memorize it if we hadn't already determined we can use it.

so if it isn't memorizing it - its because we don't think we can use it --- if it is memorizing it it is because we think we can. the single target haste we only use on melee classes

Well I'm still unsure if you're saying a or b is happening because i clarified that we don't memorize it if we haven't verified we're going to cast it.
so is it a or b?
a: we memorize the spell but don't cast it
b: we just don't memorize it or cast it

for all buffing you need the relevant options turned on, usehaste (for hasting), usextargetbuffing - and the person on your xtarget/tar (for xtarget buffing), all the toons would need to be local characters running mq2cwtnbuffs on your local pc and macroquest install directory

Here is me memorizing and casting Speed of Novak lvl 86 single target haste on a melee character without any hiccups, delays, or fuss - being both in group, and just on xtarget with xtarget buffing turned on.
so I'm not sure where the issue is or what to check - other than i'd check for conflicting buffs, ensure everyone is running mq2cwtnbuffs locally on your local pc and mq2 directory.


tho we didn't change anything around our group needs buff check for single haste - like i've mentioned a few times we have quite a few updates coming for mq2enchanter for next update

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but my enchanter will no longer mez mobs. I'm on Riz and I'm hunting in Crypt of Decay. I pull 3 or 4 mobs and my chanter just will not mez. He will tash, nuke, and dot, but not mez the adds. My tank is listed as the MA. There aren't extra entries on my chanter's xtar list and he's in Assist mode. UseMez is turned on as is InterruptForMez. AutoMezImmune is off and there is nothing in his mezimmune list for this zone. I have updated via the RG launcher app and reinstalled my Mq2Enchanter plugin. I've loaded and unloaded the plugin and unloaded MQ2 and reloaded it. It's probably something simple I'm missing. Any help troubleshooting this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Chanter wont do his work. I need to manualy target mobs for him to tash at least. He will not mez at all no matter what I try.

It's possible they have an animation that we don't know for unmezzed. Can you tell me the mob names in particular? "all mobs" is less helpful than "definitely xyz mob".
Also did you check mezz ignores and auto mezz immune

Now allow me to describe each issue:

#1 - Night's Dark Terror
This spell doesn't not even get mem'd when the selector is checked. I manually paused the plugin, then forced the spell into gem 12 and tried casting it on my 88 Zerker. The spell lands np. Whatever logic you have in place to determine if/when this should get mem'd is not working correctly in all situations.

#2 - Haste (Speed of Novak)
This spell IS getting mem'd (gem slot 10). However, it never gets cast on any of the melee chars (I have 3 in group obviously). In fact, I just now did a manual check of all the characters and the last haste I cast on them manually an hour and a half ago had dropped. I manually recast it on each of the 3 and it landed just fine. Here, your logic is just not casting the spell when it should. And, as I mentioned before, I've seen this behavior at other times and level ranges as I leveled these toons up. I BELIEVE it has something to do with the single target versions of haste. From level 80 -85 I had Hastening of Erradien and it seemed to get cast w/o issue. As soon as I hit level 86 and scribed Novak into my spellbook, the problem returned.

Other details:
This group has been running for well over 24 hours now. So, this is in steady-state operation and not a start up condition. Additionally, this character does not have a complete spellbook for his level. All the spells available to him in PoK are scribed (up to level 75). So there's a gap from 75 up to 80 on some spells.


On a personal note, I'm a software developer too man. Been in the industry just over 24 years now. So I understand the nature of alpha/beta software and the arm wrestling that occurs when you have an untrained and (most of the time) non-technical public reporting bugs/issues.

I've already mentioned and addressed the things that you posted.
I've said multiple times that there are multiple updates coming.

I have some low/midlvl gem adjustments coming next update

with the updates i already have sent it should fix

1. as i previous mentioned "I have some low/midlvl gem adjustments coming next update ", I redid some gem load-outs for the mid/lower levels... but we memorize it in gem 6 if you don't have vsynergy, and you're not memorizing slow with useslow turned on and not having slowing helix aa. we will also memorize it in gem 7 if you don't have any of your synergy spells, and it isn't otherwise memorized.
2. We check stacking and haste speed - if eq is telling us that you can have a haste, we cast haste - for single target haste (like if your single target is greater level than group) we check only melee toons, for grouphaste we check anyone. since it is memorizing your single target haste, it is either a: because your single target haste is higher than your group haste, or b: it is specifically checking against a pet - but it is only going to memorize the spell if it if going to use it.
3 - Yes, we don't care if you have usedot on or not, you still memorize them
you can change your spell loadout with byos if you want to bring your own loadout (as mentioned in a few places, you would still need to memorize the spells that the plugin outputs that it recognizes and wants to use when the plugin loads up)
4 - I think the singlestun was a remnant that cwtn put in there - we don't actually cast it, so in the meantime, i'm going to remove it completely -

1. already addressed. - We don't memorize it to "only" cast it because of the long gem timer, we memorize it because it is as part of the loadout - which i've mentioned. - it should be memorized normally which are part of the updates i've mentioned several times

3. you should go and get your spells. saying xyz isn't happening when you're missing spells the plugins tells you that it wants/needs - if you have them available you should go and get them.

ok cool - i check them out - its possible their animation is something we think is mezzed - but that helps give a case to narrow it down to, i'll take a peak-a-rino, thanks krause

upon further look it might be because we're not directly handling these as nameds / not nameds for this zone in the plugin, and it likely thinks they're named.

cwtn and i will take a look and see what we can do --- are you around a bit today?

My solution was to move on to Plane of Fire. it is in next update - i mentioned this over this weekend.

for pets we always use the single target version of something - because we don't know if someone else's pet has the AA to unlock the ability that group spells land on them - mq2enchanter was missing the pet specific single target haste if the group haste was a higher level - but that'll be fixed.

there are a very large amount of updates going out this patch for enchanter. I would wait for that and revisit.

As always if you want to bring your own spells, byos is the route you would take.

from the 6/13 update we changed breathing dot line to not use it like a nuke if the chromanuke dmg is higher, instead of just using it like that fulltime - this was to accomodate lower levels

- Enchanter will now opt to use Chromanuke instead of spamming Breathing DoT if the dmg from the nuke
    -- of ChromaNuke is higher than the Breathing DoT. We will still cast the Breathing DoT line
    -- to put the DoT on the target.

Q. My enchanter is chain casting Breathing Dot?
A. The BreathingDot line is used as a nuke (still respects UseDot). At higher levels, the front-loaded damage is very strong.

        - Updated named check fixes issue not mezzing mobs in PoP Crypt of Decay thinking they were named.
        - Fixed issue with UseChaotic but we don't have UseChaotic memorized.
        - AutoAssistAt 100 now works as intended.
        - SumAzureAt + SumSanguine at will now greater than OR equal to your sum value.
        - Fixed issue where we would recast Bite of Tashani where we didn't need to.

We don't use Rapture and Ancient Rapture because of long recast time (24s) compared to (almost all) other SingleMez mezzes with a 1s reuse. (i added that to the FAQ since it comes up occasionally and i had to check our notes to remember myself).

Plane of Storms, and other T1b zones in Planes of Power, were all meant to be level 61-65 content. What Sic said makes sense with the appropriate mezz spell you would have in that range.

FYI - I was having a convo with Sic on Discord about an issue where on Emu (rof2 client, peq standard database), the enc will chain cast and remove Beguiler's aura. I suspect it's because the string that appears in the Aura window is missing the apostrophe, but I couldn't find that string in the database. The game seems to not want to let you delete that one out of the spellbook, so I had to delete it out of the database. He mentioned that you had workarounds in other class plugins for this, so just a heads up about this one.

Here's the SQL I used. No rights reserved, never ever backup your database before doing something sketchy, YOLO, etc.

gem 13 is for alliance with usealliance or nights terror with usenightsterror turned on

they don't have a single target AA tash - we always keep the spell up unless you have "usetash" turned off, and then we memorize chromanuke in that spot

To Clarify, the AA Task - Bite of Tashani is a PBAE with a range of 50, it also has a 7 second cooldown before it can be casted again.

Reasons not to use the AA Tash
UseTashAOE is off.
It's on cooldown.
Mobs are out of range of the PBAE.

Reasons to use Spell Tash
The mob isn't tashed already. This is checked after the AA is checked.

what mobs are you fighting?

might be worth turning off TashThenMez, and see if that fixes you up - you might have "lost" a mob somewhere in there and it still thinks it is waiting for a mob to tash then mez

It's not tied to the mob type - as it happens with every mob. I already have TashThenMez off and all the xtarget slots are set to auto hater.

On a seperate crew on Riz (Pal/Dru/enc/mag/mag/mag) the enchanter works great - so I'm trying to figure out what the difference is.

i asked what mobs you were fighting for a specific reason - could you provide the what mobs you are fighting, please?

for example, if it is "every single mob you are fighting" you could say "one of those mobs is xyz"

does the issue go away if you turn off usemez?

i asked what mobs you were fighting for a specific reason - could you provide the what mobs you are fighting, please?

for example, if it is "every single mob you are fighting" you could say "one of those mobs is xyz"

does the issue go away if you turn off usemez?

At this moment, I'm fighting Gnolls in The Steppes. I turned off usemez and the behavior did not change. Below is a shot of the current settings:

Well this is interesting... I moved to Goru'kar Mesa (where the mobs are easier so I could mess around easier) and started fighting the snakes, spiders and giants. I started to turn stuff off to see if there was any combinations that worked. When I turn on UseNuke, the enchanter nukes first and then starts to tash, slow and so on. I turn off UseNuke and he goes back to doing nothing.

pretty sure i've gotten to the bottom of it - which is why i had those questions. enchanter has a more than a little complicated setup, so being able to pinpoint the area shaves off an incredible amount of time.
