Release MQ2EasyFind (2 Viewers)

I admit I did not read through 7 pages to see if this was answered already.

How do I stop in mid-travel? Sometimes the toon gets stuck and I would like an "abort" function. I am sure it is simple, but...

If you go to the MQ settings window in game and select the Nav tab you can select what you'd like to happen if you press any button the keyboard whilst a toon is navigating;

- Do nothing (default). As per comment above you can type /nav stop or /nav pause manually
- Stop navigation. This does the equivalent of a /nav stop
- Pause navigation. This does the equivalent of a /nav pause, you can unstick the character and then type /nav pause to continue the original navigation path. This is the option I use.

Is there a way to configure /travelto to accept partial names? eg "butcher" for "Butcherblock Mountains"

What would the travel to name be for Chardok in EOK = Chardok2 ?? : Kind of fun plugin to watch the little team run. Is there a way to invisi the group prior to the run. Secondly would the invisi drop after a zone in.

easyfind just does easyfinding type stuff, you'd want something else to handle your invis. (unless you edited your stuff to include a Lua script event to do that - but that wouldn't really be something built-in)

eok chardok is "chardoktwo"

if you need a shortzone reference there is a zones.ini file in your release->resources folder

is there a command to take you to the big guild hall and to sunrise hills, the little guild hall sometimes, or require you to type "/easyfind neighborhood guild hall"?

Pre-update I could select a destination from the find menu and would auto navigate to that selection.
This no longer works.
Can anyone suggest something that I can do to regain this functionality?
Thank you.

There are a couple of small, yet important changes with MacroQuest:
1. mq2map click is Control+Shift+Click
2. new easyfind self travel is Control+Click (reminder in find window title bar)
3. new easyfind group travel is Control+Shift+Click
4. If you selected a destination in your zone guide and want to activate it you /travelto activate
5. /yes and /no are now aliases
6. your ini configuation files (like for kissassist) now reside in your "Config" folder and not your "Macro" folder

I understand the new way to use /travelto activate when using the in game map Zone Guide to traverse multiple zones.
[BGCOLOR=initial]Currently I do Select Zone, Set End and Activate Path manually on each toon then hop on the 'driver' to issue /noparse /bcga //docommand /travelto activate and they all run there more or less together. It works, but i[/BGCOLOR][BGCOLOR=initial]s there a way to have my 'driver' issue the command to the group to Select the same zone, Set End and Activate Path?[/BGCOLOR]

/bcaa //travelto poknowledge

use any zone shortname or "The Plane of Knowledge" should work?

yes, you can /bcaa //travelto zonename or /travelto group zonename

Easyfind discussion time!
Easyfind is one of the best plugins with Macroquest. However, since the 64bit update, when I use the ingame find window and select, my characters get the old Everquest glowing route, but they don't move to the new destination. Other easyfind actions work like travelto, so I am thinking I must have a setting wrong. Any ideas?

not related to 64bit. it is related to the updates with MacroQuest.

here are some mental notes:

1. mq2map click is Control+Shift+Click
2. new easyfind self travel is Control+Click (reminder in find window title bar)
3. new easyfind group travel is Control+Shift+Click
4. If you selected a destination in your zone guide and want to activate it you /travelto activate
5. /yes and /no are now aliases !yes and !no if you don't have them
6. your ini configuation files (like for kissassist) now reside in your "Config" folder and not your "Macro" folder

I have 1 pc and 3 laptops - For some reason main PC when ctrl+shft+click only sends the group travel command to laptop A --- Laptop B sends it to all 4 computers, laptop C sends to all 4 computers, but Main pc and Laptop A only send to each other. Worked fine prior to 64.

thoughts?

yeah sounds like your main pc and laptop aren't communicating via dannet

> Guide < since you are using mutli PCs you don't want to use the loopback connection, you will want to actually designate an actual device

I never used dannet before, always eqbc - however; why would laptop C be able to communicate to PC, but not vice versa, if it was a dannet issue?

I'll look into the config from that guide you linked.

Update1 : seems like the opposite is true, PC and laptop are on dannet, but the laptop B and C are not. which is odd since C and B can communicate with easyfind to all the pc's; but pc and A cannot.

Update2 : PC and Laptop A were on dannet - Laptop B and C were not - Attempting to load dannet on PC and A resulted in a issue where all but laptop C was on the same interface ip, but laptop C is on wifi and other are wired - resulting in a different interface for laptop C. Unloading mq2dannet from all the machines made it so that all the machines received the easyfind command.

Problem resolved by unloading mq2dannet from all clients.

Ty for help Sic, you lead me towards the solution.

As we are on the topic of easyfind on test, I have a few weird things happening and was wondering if I'm alone. Unsure if it's my EQ or MQ.

*There are a few missing zone connections in the find menu (example, from PoK, the guild lobby and west freeport arent there)

*Clicking on Nexus in find takes me to field of bone.

Along with a few others.

Hello, did someone also have problem with the easyfind group travel in The Darkened Sea zones. It works only for the toon who click + Control+Shift, and not for the rest of the group ?
This feature of MQ is really awesome, and it's a pain to ctrl click each toon ( or use "come to me").

Thank you for this! The CTRL+Shift+Click to get the whole group going is fantastic!

What happened to just clicking it with mouse and taking off ?

The thing is , when I do Control+Shift+Click for group travel only the toon issuing the command is traveling, the other dudes stay still. I thought at first it was only in certain zones, but apparently it's not. Any idea ?
( my keyboard is ok)
Edit: if I do a /bcga //travelto poknowledge (for exemple), it works, except for my bard (who's on Kissassist). Weird...

make sure dannet is enabled

Where ?
I've checked the MQ2Dannet.ini, it is almost empty :

[General]
Command Echo=off
Full Names=off

As well for the MQ2EQBC.ini. I also checked the MQ setttings, I see nothing I could change . Could you point me in the right direction please.
