MQ2Druid

Plugin - MQ2Druid (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

I'm in Hybrid and Assist mode as level 116. I have a cleric in group, with SK tank.

Initial Feedback:
I think the insect DoTs should be cast earlier in the lineup. It does the cold dot/debuff early on, which is good, but insects is more dps. Fire DoT (Nature's fervid wrath) also seems to happen early in the rotation, which is good.
I also am casting Sundew Blessing (Nuke and twincast heals), but I'm not casting heals very often so its not utilizing the full effect. (HealsHealsMA set to 95 currently)
I'm not a fan of the wind/stun nuke line. Over the years I found the stuns don't work on very many mobs. (I have "UseNuke" off and its still in the slot but not casting it).
I have UseSwarmPet on and it doesn't not have the hyperbaids mushroom pet loaded as a gem. I would think this should be in hybrid mode.


Suggestions:
Have toggles/options for damage type priority (cold, fire, magic), because its better to use the same damage type you are debuffing for. Often not enough time/mana to do cold and fire.
Option to use thorns DS. Casting the group thorns DS and prioritizes the Heal/Thorn (Vinespike Rush) line over other instant heals.
Add a toggle for "Enigmatic Ways" line of heal triggers. I think it stacks well and provides decent healing if you have melee dps.

pretty happy with the rotation and the order that things happen in at this time. if you haven't parsed it or compared to guides and such i'd recommend giving it a try compared to what you're used to.

usenuke isn't going to change your loadout, just allows you some flexibility in what you're doing

I mentioned how to get the mushroom loaded in the vid - if that is no longer the case i'll take a look at it.

we're not going to have a toggle for damage priority - maybe to turn off certain damage types, but no plan to do that at this time.

you can byos/byoscustom vinespike if you want to do that, it isn't an option because of the very short duration - but we'll use it on your MA - i'll add this to FAQ

rush happend before promised or vida line but after survival (emergency/tier'd) or revitalization and adrenaline - happy with this setup

ways is available in byos - i'll add this to FAQ

I wanted to add some feedback even though I don't have any suggestions.

My testing was done using the test version of mq2druid on the healer loadout. The group was level 85, all 6 boxed using the RG offerings on one PC. They are a mixture of SOF/SOD/UF geared. I was doing Underfoot group missions at the highest tier, so some of the hardest content available to me at this level.

Pre-testing: I have been using my Druid with a purely healer-focused Kissassist Ini, no DoT's or debuffs. My Kissassist druid could not keep up in these UF group missions when things went wrong. Possibly a bi-product of my ini, but the logic she used was never, in my experience, capable of handling chaos. With slow, low count pulls, sure, she could heal a tank. I never brought her as the sole healer to these group missions she was incapable of it.

For my testing of mq2druid I used a cc-less group with MQ2Druid as the only healer and frequently put myself in bad situations on purpose. Big pulls of 5-8 mobs (in UF group missions no less, these things hit very hard). Smaller pulls where I was purposefully letting my dps or support characters get hit by enemies to see how the druid handled frantic healing of target swapping etc. After 4 hours, I did not have a single death and completed every mission with, what I perceive is efficiency that comes at least close to that of a cleric at this point of the game.

I did notice that when I had Use NatureAA's checked, the druid would OOM herself very fast weaving them in. The damage was nice, but if you are reading this and having issues with your MQ2Druid's mana, check this. It was solved for me when I turned it off.

I am very impressed by MQ2Druid. I consider myself to be a person who is at least somewhat experienced and I have been writing ini's for my characters for 7 years, between live and emulated servers. across many forms of automation MQ2Druid is lightyears better than anything I could come up with for my druid.

To the plugin overall..
The load out still contains 3 healing spells in "DPS".
It also contains 3 big dots and ecliptic (excluding Sunpyre).
Uses both elements but not Wildbrume.
My druid could be a wash up, but without thresholds for the big 3 dots, she puts herself out of the fight after 5 trash mobs(oom).
Finally, does UseGrowth mean Bolstered Growth (any tier)? That spell fires away regardless of toggle.

Rock Solid straight outta the box.

I did 3 raids tonight and was really impressed - Tried DPS mode and Hybrid Mode and both were great - Parsing mid raid - Exactly where I want the druid to parse.

I haven't tweaked anything - so it looks like most of the settings are spot on.

no, i went over this in the dru vid - if you skipped that please dont. we're not going to have a toggle to use the mana bear
bear is the bear, growth is the growth line - fervent growth, frenzied growth etc.

Dru are ultimately still priests, they're going to have a mix of stuff in any loadout - there isn't a "im a wizard, larry" loadout, because they're not wizards. you can always byos / byos custom if you would like it to be something different.

Please help make sure i can help you - take a look at "how to ask for help" vid and please try and do that. saying "wildbrume" isn't as helpful as "i have winter's wildbrume for the spell group 'wintershock' but i am not memorizing it" or something like that - yep we don't currently memorize it, the plugin does use it if you byos / byos customed.

hey szazor, thanks for the kind words - druids are pretty cool, wish they got a litlte more dbg love

would recommend adjusting mana mins and such - the out-of-the-box settings are often made with trying to be the "least conflicty, most broadly applicable" possible - so dont be shy

Ran a 120 DRU, WAR, MNK and MAG in ME last night. Other than shitty gear on the DRU and running out of Mana it did just fine in healer mode. I'll try DPS mode later today.
 
Something I noticed, there's not a use composite/progressive option like the other class plugins. If that's how you want it, cool, I can BYOS it off.

Also, do you currently have it set to refresh nightchill aura when it drops, even when its combat? In a group with a bunch of casters, and you have the spell mem'd, it would be nice if it refreshed. I haven't seen it refresh recently during a fight, but i know in KA, it will spam try to cast the aura if you don't have it working correctly (which i hadnt figured out how to yet). I know these programs arent based around raids specifically, but it would be helpful for longer raids if it refreshed when it expires.

Correct, there isn't an option.

I'll consider the aura if you have it mem'd (like chanter debuff aura)

Sorry for not being specific. This is the same issue I am having. My Druid is not curing Column of Ro. It just slows down mana regen and hasn't really been a massive issue. Just something I noticed and felt needed mentioning.

That debuff in specific doesn't have a dot counter or charges, or match any of the usually things to cure, but I'll check for spa, and then add it to cure.
 
next update notice / build should have the fix for the darn spell loadout spam in hybrid

test appears to have some queue'd builds, so let test shake loose itself before being too up-in-arms about it
Works amazing in DPS mode, "burn always" is tough but that's because druid mana management is garbage, but that's an EQ issue 😋
 
Level 65 druid in House of Thule expansion. Don't know if intended, but when listing missing portal spells, it looks like level is not taken into consideration.

Almost no classes should "burn always" in under just about any circumstances, but it exists

It isn't at this time. As I mentioned in the vid some enhancements I plan on doing.

But also to be fair - you are missing them - just also need levels / expansions.

They won't display in the UI if you don't have the expansion, but missing is going to say you're missing them (because you are).

It'll probably get removed later

I've been checking it out and I found 2 important things missing. It's not self buffing Mask of the Duskage Tender for mana regen, and it's not memorizing and using Skin to Lichen proving ~10% extra fire damage for group. that's huge for a caster group. I have a druid for that spell.

Edit: Wrath of the Wild is also a badass DS that can be stacked on the MT, but the plugin is not leveraging it

You can actually see mask usage in the video.

We don't currently use skin to lichen, but I can take a look (I have notes in it that we don't use)
 
Burn always is intended for when you're group has no problem with the existing content and and the goal is to kill as much as possible as fast as possible with no need to retain burns for named or emergencies.
Outside of that there isn't a good reason to use burnalways on any class.

BurnAlways will
- Consume all the stamina / mana
- Not make efficient use of the burns available
- cause your character to not be prepared in the event of an emergency
- make you be sad that your "burns" aren't topping the DPS charts
- etc etc etc
- etc
