Can i turn summoned hammer off? I just want to punch shit.
the summon a hammer if you don't have a weapon? have a weapon in your hand and you won't summon one.

if you mean the celestial hammer - if you're meleeing and you are meeting your burn condition, you will toss your celestial hammer

I dont want a hammer, I want to punch stuff to work on my h2h. I figured it out though so its ok.
 
Just did an update through the Launcher and when I logged in to EQ it said MQ2Cleric was out of date. I checked here to redownload it and the link above downloads MQ2BST.
 
how can I unload this plugin once it is loaded? I already unwatched the thread. And, when i try to do /plugin MQ2Cleric unload, it just says MQ2Cleric not found. I even deleted the .dll and two .ini files and it just keeps coming back

yet it's there, running, and I can't get rid of it.
all plugins get loaded/unloaded with /plugin name load / /plugin name unload

if you are having an issue where it says a plugin isn't found - this is a larger issue than mq2 cleric - you might have a windows compat issue with your windows registry, or an issue with some antivirus or somesuch
 
Having a bit of a problem.
My cleric has leveled from 111 to 115 over the past few weeks.
In that time I did not upgrade spells. Yesterday I decided to take a minute and get my spell book up to date. When I started the plugin after getting them all, A "/clr missing" returned nothing.
So, let's get back to killin things. Gathered the group up. Pulled one, tank takes over and we're all busy fighting when I notice the tank is getting lower and lower. I quickly switch to the cleric and she starts casting but very slow.. I see something like "you can't make a camp here, it's too steep". Made no sense, I planted a campfire when we arrived at the camp site and it was still there. She was spamming it pretty quick and it was messing up her casting.
A quick "/clr DoCampfire off" cured that. So off I go to pull another. Tank takes over and we're beating that mob down. I see the tanks health going down, up, down, up, not by much.. just 5% or so.
I switch to the cleric and she's casting Merciful and Sincere remedy every 3 to 5 seconds. Total casts are 14 to 16 in the 45 seconds it takes us to beat down one.. Mana is already at 75% and we've only taken on two mobs. The day before, using the old spells she was ALWAYS full mana even on the named. Either the EQ update buffed up the mobs or the new spells are sucky.

Thoughts?

welll your first issue is you had the plugin trying to set a campfire in a location that one wouldn't take hold - this is an eq thing about too steep - so you shouldn't do that probably. I don't think there's a way for us to say "is eq going to tell us we can't put a campfire on this pebble" - so you'll have to use your eyeballs

there's no issue with the 110-115 spell set and loadout - my clerics can go forever without mana problems.

did your cleric go f2p and lost its gear from no longer being gold and has a poopy small mana pool because of it?
 
It loaded MQ2Cleric just fine, and I'm running MQ2Monk, war, and rogue just fine. I just can't unload it, even when i delete the files manually, they come back. I can't get it removed from the RedGuides list of plugins either, which is hwy i think it keeps coming back.

it gets re-downloaded because of the launcher.

you could unload all of your characters, go into your macroquest2.ini and change MQ2Cleric=1 to MQ2Cleric=0 and it would no longer load when you login

I'm thinking that if you paid for mq2cleric, it's going to reinstall the .dll file when you update, even if you deleted it. If you don't want to use the plugin anymore, just /plugin mq2cleric unload and it will no longer run the plugin on your toons. It will still be in the list of plugins (I'm assuming you are referring to the plugin manager), but it will be in red text which means it isn't loaded and running.
 
i can't get it to unload is my problem, it says it's not found. I will, however, change teh mq2cleric=1 to mq2cleric=0 and see if that works tomorrow, thank you
 
Any known issues with the Cleric Auras? Cleric is constantly casting Aura of the Pious and getting message "You do not have sufficient focus to maintain that ability" removed all auras to check if that was issue, but still not working. Today was first day using this spell.

no - but double check you don't have a buff from another aura as well.

we auto detect what aa you have for if you can have 2 or not - it sounds like you have an extra aura buff on your aura window or your song window. I would double check both.
 
That did teh trick. In my macroquest2.ini file, i had teh following:
Mq2Cleric=0
/Mq2Cleric=1

I'm not sure how the 2nd entry was placed in with the /, but deleting it fixed my issues, thanks!
 
New to RedGuides and have a question on how this plugin would work if the cleric is run by a guy I play with who also has s RG level2 sub. He runs the cleric and dps at his place. I run the tank and dps at my place. We hve EQBC, NETBOTS both running and all are connected. Would this setup woth with MQ2cleric?

for buffing purposes we need the other toons to be local characters (same PC) that we can see their buff file from mq2cwtnbuffs

eqbc/netbots/dannet isn't going to cover that gap with how we do buffs.

it would heal and do everything other than buff just fine, however.

For example, my team does fine on Zlandicar's Reborn, but had a horrible wipe on the final boss (Narandi) in the Reckless Assault mission.

What settings are y'all running your MQ2Cleric on? (Say for a group geared team)

Oh, that's good to know. I couldn't find much in regards to guides on that mission. Thought it was just lack of healing or not enough DPS to win.

there is some good info in the comment section of eqresource for that mission > here <

but basically if you dps the wrong mob someone (usually? always? the tank) gets DT'd

the encounter is stupid. I treat that fight like the kael mission - everyone on manual mode and i call them to dps and clear target otherwise so i don't kill myself.

I am having issues with Holy Intervention. It is set to cast at 99 in the original settings. The problem is that the cleric casts it when the SK is out of camp pulling and it damages the mob and the mob starts summoning...usually the cleric since Charge for Power seems to cause little initial aggro. I have played with the heal value to use it, but I can not seem to find a happy medium. Either the tank does not get low enough to use or the cleric casts it before the tank is back in camp.

Does anyone have any settings that avoid these issues? In my opinion, Holy Intervention should not be cast until the mobs are in camp. Is this working as intended?

it is working as intended if you have mobs on xtarget, and your tank needs the heal from it - you will cast it.

you could go battlemode with usemelee on and use contraventions instead which nuke the mob and then heal your target's target

Does the autossistat setting determine when he will use contravention or is it determined by the tank's life somehow? Or is it cast at the first available time?

the contraventions are nukes - (for now) they will happen when you're in melee combat, so if you go battlemode you need usemelee on like i mentioned.

the assisting to melee combat would happen with your assistat value and campradius - you would still use your normal heals otherwise

keep in mind "default" is to cross as many circumstances as possible

I turn off usehand, useretort (unless i need retort for reverse DS), usesymbol, if i don't want consequence i turn it off

Currently, I've left these settings at default. I've come across a few bad pull scenarios where I could have probably avoided death by modifying these settings. Just not sure what to change though.

i mean if you're playing current game

you're quick healing at 99, prom heal at 98, intervention at 99 and dissi at 50 --- these are the spells that you have memorized in the loadout - there's not much more "tweaking" that can go.

if you are doing lower lvl or tlp stuff (which you mentioned before tov missions so i don't think you are) the majority of your heals are going to be healsheals so you would want to adjust that.

I would double check your tank isn't sub-optimal or you aren't missing spells or your 2.0 or other stuff like healing AAs etc or you aren't doing pulls that your group can't handle.

Didn't you ask last time when you were dying to death touches?
 
maybe if you can give us some context we can better help you - because i don't think it is a cleric setting issue.

what is your tank hp/ac?
how many mobs are you fighting?
are you using a shield?
are you letting mobs get behind you?
are you CCing?
- are the mobs even CC-able
