MQ2BerZerker

Plugin - MQ2BerZerker (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

For test and emu u dont manually download anything. They are included with VV.. the redguides launcher even tells you that you dont manage plugins for them manually.

The .dll u manually downloaded is for live, you wont be able to run that on test.

Once vv test is patched just /plugin mq2berzerker load

Ok. Thanks for the replies. When your a knot head like me these things happen. Your right Sic I did notice that after the fact and I downloaded and installed into the folder. I actually used the plugin on Live and worked like a charm. /thumbs up!!

General box group question but figured I'd get the expert opinion of the zerks.

I quit originally back in RoF and at that time what I considered an optimal group did not double classes. Now with alliance that seems to have changed.

So at this point whats the general rule for optimal group?

Like.. would a 2nd zerk > a bard for a standard group? or is double zerk (or monk/bst/rogue/etc/etc) better than a bard at this point? Or is a bard still the single best class you can slot into every group. If bard is still the best (so assuming at this point tank, healer, bard) is doubling one dps always better than having a variety? such as is double lowest_dps still better than lowest_dps + highest_dps (not sure where all the dps currently lineup.. this is also assuming all dps classes have a alliance that procs dmg).

Been bugging me for a while as I consider potentially adding to group down the road.

when you get to EoKish era you get a bunch of really awesome things - like Alliances, Synergy procs, focus, and the way classes work with one another changes a bit

I personally pair a bard with 3 melee oriented dps, and an enchanter with casters, but plenty of folks are successful mixing matching.

For the group game, alliance isn't a deal breaker, because fight times are relatively short anyhow.

you *can* proc zerker alliance with 2 zerkers with your little doppleganger dudes and lots of haste - I run 2 and keep force alliance turned on
rogue alliance reportedly can proc with 1 rogue if you give poison to the rest of your team that is banging on the mobs melee style (i say reported because i haven't actually tested it myself yet to confirm).

I personally do real tank (sk, war, pal), real healer (cleric or shm), real CC (bard, ench) then melee with bard and casters with ench --- but I can't stress this enough - you can definitely be very successful with all sorts of group setups and what is most important is that you enjoy your group.

Since this is the mq2berzerker thread give the zerker video a watch > MQ2Berzerker Vid < I talk a bit about how zerkers are mainly "takers" and you want to have a good balance of givers and takers --- I use my bard as a giver, and my bst as both a giver and taker

Thanks for the feedback. As a dru main I never really want to 6 box cause cleric merc (I mean I could make a cleric... but thats just unnecessary for 99% of applications) so if I were to expand to the full 5 I was thinking dru/sk/brd/bst/zerk as the final config and wasn't sure if a 2nd bst would > zerk or not due to alliance.

mercs are higher lvl are pretty lackluster (viable depending on your goals, but can definitely lead to frustrations especially with berzerkers due to their health limiters - even a f2p cleric is better in my experience

but the good news is that with mq2 it is really easy to adjust your group if it doesn't meet your needs or you want to change stuff later on. So definitely do your thing and enjoy your team 100%

Alliances are targeted at the raid scene. It's nearly irrelevant in the group game. IMO, planning for alliances in the group game is not worth the time and effort to make it work.

Maybe this question has already been asked, but is there a way to wait for and unsuspend my merc if he dies?

Potential new bug following patch this week.

When in chase mode, if the zerker is lagging behind the rest of the group and the group engages a mob, then the zerker tries to attack even though he is too far away and this seems to interfere with his pathing to group. He pretty much stops until the mob(s) are dead before continuing to path to the group.

Sounds like it could be an issue with UseFrenzied being on and it being triggered before they are in range of the mob. I'll take a look at that and see if that's the case.

Honestly though it's worth mentioning that while in chase mode it's typical to turn off UseFrenzied since the ability roots you in place, it's not really a good option for a chase situation because you'll "randomly" get rooted in place.

Frenzied was definitely not on, I’m used to that sometimes and click it off manually, the zerk would always patch back to the group. What i haven’t noticed before is autoattack being on so far away from the mob

I don't experience that same reaction. The berzerker will use nav until he's within about 20 units of the mob, before using stick, but only uses stick at that point if he's gained line of sight. Presumably you're not using it with a macro on as well?

Let me try again today, I only noticed it yesterday. I didn't have any mac's running on the zerkers, MT was using MQ2WAR and other characters using Kiss.

I tried to replicate this yesterday and was unable to with multiple zerkers over a few hours.

could you step-by-step on recreating it?

Ok group makeup is as follows:

War - MQ2WAR
Enc - Kiss
Zerk - MQ2Berserker
Zerk - MQ2Berserker
Ranger - Kiss
Cleric - Kiss

War is in /war mode 0. Zerks on /zerk mode 2. Kiss characters on chase.

I can replicate any time in any zone doing the following;

- Put Zerks on Mode 0 and move the rest of the group to another location lets say 500 away
- Engage MT on mob and then switch zerks to Zerk Mode 2
- Zerks try and path to group as I can see the Nav path, but they move at a snail pace. Auto attack is switched on even when zerkers are far away

hrm - just tested this from 500+ away

mobs start navigating to the tank, hit a ritual scarification turn on autoattack when they get close, tossed battle leap to close the distance then went ham

Ok went through all my plugins one by one and found the culprit, looks like a clash with MQcombat. I have no idea why I had that plugin on but turned it off and everything works normally. Thanks for confirming it wasnt MQ2zerker.

I currently face a small annoyance while working on my epic 2.0, where my Berzerker gets stuck on some mobs while in Hunter Tank mode in MPG, trying to get the elusive Lightning Core. In most cases I use an actual tank for pulling with Kissassist where I can add mobs on the "Mobs to Ignore" list, but I'm not sure how to do the same with MQ2Berzerker. So now in MPG my berzerker will get stuck trying to kill mobs such as "Projection of Arcana" and "Pashia Clouddancer", while not actually being a killable mob! He justs stays in place, doing nothing. I expect there must be a way to have an ignore list like I have on Kissassist, but I have not yet figured out how to do it! Any help would be greatly appreciated. (I expect this may be more of a MQ2Nav topic than MQ2Berzerker issue per say, but I figured I'd start here.) Thank you.

yes, there is /zerk ignore

you can find the commands in the commands tab for the resource > HERE <

This plugin used to be pretty good dps, but both of my zerkers are getting trounced by a ranger and monk. They aren't burning, even with burnalways or burnallnamed on, they aren't burning.

gonna need some more information there. my zerkers are absolutely killin it. (and they burn as expected).

We haven't changed much in the zerker routine in a while (just the overall CWTN additions outside of the disarm and binding axe button)

What are you expecting to fire, and when - that isn't happening?

Nothing is firing, brutal, mangling, juggernaut, etc. I don't run a shaman, I heard that maybe the shaman epic causes them to burn? I'm not sure. They used to light up all my abilities, but they are doing like 250k dps and holding my group back. I expect stuff to fire on the very first mob I attack when I have burnalways selected and I expect them to fire burns on named when I have burnallnamed selected. That isn't happening. I made a hot key for them to /burnnow and that works but it's not optimal for me.

sounds like maybe your settings are borked up - and you mean /zerk burnnow, right?

and no, you don't need a shaman

This is what mine looks like and they burn as expected

Here is one of my new zerkers (not fully geared, but just about full t3 now, still sub 2k hdex, augs suck etc)

Was only running 1 in group at the time since i was PLing a toon - but as you can see, absolutely shitting on Bloodmaw

group was sk, sk, shm, bard, zerk, bst (sk was the PL, shm is getting AA PL'd too - like 22k aas)

this was yesterday

It might be worth deleting your MQ2BerZerker_toonname.ini in your release folder and letting the plugin recreate it.

I would also double check the outputs, like missing abilities, and axes, and that you didn't go silver so none of your gear works etc

I'll check that yeah, my settings look similar to yours. I'll re-install it. Definitely have axes and toon isn't missing any abilities and is Gold.

just a little strange i have bought this plugin now its asking me to buy a new copy and a new copy of eqwire whats going on here?

I have started using this a few days ago.. I have to say initially it was a bit of a learning curve for me. But after I submerged myself into it, it has been a fantastic plugin. Thank you for making this.

I know most people come on here to ask questions, request things or bitch bit I just wanted to take a moment to say Thank You CWTN and Sic for all your hard work. This plugin as well as your others rock!

zerker window not showing any plugin output, settings window just shows a bunch of check boxes and input boxes

Looks like you patched the zerker plugin but did you patch mq2 as well? it shows the last time you patched mq2VV was the last patch, the last live build should have had the .xml file in from redbot

here is the current .xml --- this goes in your MQ2 -> Release -> uifiles -> default folder
