This is a friendly reminder that you don't NEED to buy bard until you need to update MQ if you already have it.
If you jumped the gun and bought the plugin back in September, your licenses have been reset to start today along side the giveaway winners. In the case of @durango773 that means you have a 2 year license because you both bought a license in September and won in the giveaway.

i think it is. related to mq. but not sure i thought i remembered using /melody and it was getting stuck and i thought i used /melody stop then clicked a spell and it cleared up the spell bar and could continue without re logging.

it isn't.

you can manually get it stuck without mq/rg/magic-keyboard/eyeballs/fingers/anything.

they've "fixed" the stuckgems several times over the years, every time they fix other classes bards end up getting bugged

restart your computer -> don't start mq/rg/anything -> log in a bard -> sing a song -> while singing a song try and use an item like a spell rank 2 claim thing "greater etched rune of nokk" - congrats your gems are now stuck.

sometimes you can unstick them with AA, or just waiting - othertimes not so much.

bards actually have several outstanding bugs related to their singing/gems/songs that are 100% reproducible without mq

As soon as I got my next line of mez songs the bard did really well again. I have been using him a lot and he is a beast with the plugin. Naturally, I purchased it today. I think There are only a few I don't have (yet). These plugins really are amazing and they keep EQ enjoyable for me. I love them.

Showing up in your list of licenses. If you bought it with the launcher open you'll need to refresh the plugins list or reload the launcher.
 
I don't see this in the Info panel or /brd, but may be useful.
I was able to use it as I found it in the enchanter plugin.

/brd broadcastmez on

The output responded that it turned on.

EDIT: I did find it in the /brd ... scanned over it.

it is in the FAQ, and commands tab, but yep missing from in-game panel, i'll add
 
Should consider adding the Dirge of the Sleepwalker AA into the bard mez routines. No real reason not to use an instant-cast mez when there's only 1 thing to mez, or if you've got single target turned on to help lock things down a bit faster.

there are some - and this is one of them - where it is such a "high value" thing to use, that would really suck if you went to use it in a pinch (tabbed over, paused automation and jumped in to do-a-thing) and it was unavailable.

i disagree about the "no real reason" when this is a 5 minute reuse and requires "full concentration" meaning you can't swap songs (unless that somehow changed).

Dirge of the Sleepwalker XXVII, when activated, causes you to start singing a song that mesmerizes a level 129 or lower target for 72 seconds per pulse.
This song requires your full concentration to continue singing.

this isn't something we're going to use.
 
description is outdated, by years. Hit it, and swap target to do your thing as per normal. I don't think it even interrupts melody, but I'll have to test to double check that. I use it to pull sometimes if I really want one to stay behind, never had any issue like the description would imply.


Just tested, and it is just a quick cast single target mez that does not interrupt melody. It doesn't "pulse" anything and does not start a song of any sort. Fought another mob while the first one was mezzed, no issues, no melody breaks, etc etc. a.k.a. the description on how it works is total bupkiss.

Do you know how to stop this? it keeps using familiar item and won't stop. I can't only gate and teleport back through campfire.

You'd be using this if you have this addclicky activated (we add it automatically, so you'd want to disable it if you don't want to use it), and you were missing the buff from it.

You'll need to ensure you didn't do something *weird* like blocking the familiar buff, or for some reason, already have a familiar out (should stop you from using it).

I would double check that you didn't add this to another addclicky grouping also. We handle this in downtime, so if you manually added it to something else, you'll want to remove it
 
I'm having the issue of constantly trying to click epic.

I have the epic in the new Activate Items key ring.

well, you're 3 live builds behind current, I'd suggest starting there.

for our (cwtn ) usage, there's nothing *special* we're doing to use the item if it is or isn't in your addclicky keyring, but MQ was updated to address that a few days ago.

I'd start with that, if it is still happening you should take the item out of your keyring until whatever is broken is fixed

you didn't say how you expect that to happen - so broadly since i don't know your expectations "no"

you could put terror's juju in offensive (it wouldn't do incoming, but would when you engage in combat)

classes that have the dispelling AA "Eradicate Magic" we have set to use

bard's have some low level dispels which aren't very great, and certainly not something we'd intentionally waste a slot on
