again, those can go in offensive

there is no way for someone to add a "fire when condition is ${some shit}" and has the potential to conflict trying to do something *else* with it (react, lem, etc --- which is why we have built-in ways to do things)

addclicky usage for things like skull of null or terror's juju have been in the plugins for like 4 years at this point

the lower level songs that bard has to do the same thing as a skull of null, for example, has a 3 second cast time, vs the clicky with instant usage.

would strongly recommend the clicky

Unfortunately that's a persistent EQ bug going back several years, at least recently, you could force it by trying to use a spell upgrade (lesser, median, greater, etc) while a song was being sung.

Unfortunately, not so ethig mq2 bard is intentionally doing, and "stuck gems" fixes, at least recently don't work for bards
 
Leveling my bard and using it as a puller it has only ever ran up and smacked mobs and then run back, is that normal or should I be pulling with a dot or nuke? Sorry bards aren’t my strong class. This is using the plugin btw
 
Not sure what level the bard is, but i would get a staff of viral flux and under add clicky set that as your pulling item.

Yes that is correct until you get the aa we use for pulling.

Unless you had a ranged item/ammo, or a pull addclicky

you get sonic disturbance at 63.

since you're levling up and such, i'd recommend utilizing a huntertank mode on your tank, and letting everyone else be in chase-mode. "old timey" pulling back to a static camp is, under a majority of circumstances, less efficient
 
Anybody else having issues with their bard not mezzing? Mine seems to have stopped mezzing. I have UseMezAoE checked and UseMezST checked none of the mobs I'm pulling are on the mez immune list. I have broadcastmez turned on but not getting any messages about Mez and mobs are not getting mezed

Hrm, haven't seen that, nor heard any reports. I'll check with specificity tomorrow.

Make sure you're not byos and don't have them memorized - or the mobs aren't too high level, or in a zone that needs special "named" handling

Byos is off and I have Slumber of the Mindshear Rk II and Wave of Slumber Rk II both memorized. Both mez to 88 the mobs were are all dark blue or even con and I was in an instance of the foundation doing underfoot progession quest.

if you're on a "special server" that has different max levels for spells - that's an mq issue but both of those spells should be 88.

I'm gonna guess that MQ thinks the mobs are named - I'll see if i can replicate and handle the mobs in that/those zones

Thanks Sic I was doing The Search for Saunk progession quest. I did run into Plane of Fire and pulled a bunch of mobs and my bard is working perfectly again so I agree with you it must be something with that zone. Thanks for the help

For clarity, you mention they are dark blue or even, but don't give your level, or the level of the mobs. So some assumptions are being made that they are less than, or equal to level 88. So if the information we've deduced from your statement isn't correct then please let us know.
Without the proper information it's difficult to assist in verifying something is or is not an issue. Moving forward there are details we need to assist with verifying an issue you're having is something on your end or our end or a mixture of both. Please be as detailed as you can be.

Hey folks,
I’m trying to have my bard use the highest-damage insults: Yaran's Disdain and Eoreg's Insult (at level 125).

  • Yaran's Disdain has no push.
  • Eoreg's Insult has a push.
With both loaded:

  • If UsePushInsult is off, only Yaran's Disdain is used (expected behavior).
  • If UsePushInsult is on, only Eoreg's Insult is used.
Is it intentional that enabling UsePushInsult excludes non-push insults entirely? Shouldn’t it still use Yaran's Disdain alongside Eoreg's if both are available?

Unless this is by design or a coding limitation.

it is designed to "use the push insults or not use push insults" not to combine them.

your point makes a lot of sense - it is more likely using push insults because "you dont care if mobs get pushed" rather than "i only want to push mobs with insults"

let me take a look/think about it

Hey Sic, I am playing on a special ruleset server you referenced and my bard isn't mezzing. Using Kiss I am able to get the bard to mez just fine since I can set the range. Am I just SOL on getting bard to mez using this plugin on this server or is there something I can do as a workaround? Thanks!

if it is related to information in spell data that differs from the not "special ruleset" then yes, unfortunately we're believing the information that mq is getting from eq and mq currently doesn't handle that.

but you're going to want to figure out if that is the reason. as in, check your immunes and other settings and if it is purely an issue with different information for the special ruleset, like mob level - then yes unfortunately
 
I am fairly certain it is a mob level issue unfortunately. Bummer! How would I go about getting a refund for this as I would only use the plugin at this time on the special ruleset server and being able to Mez is a pretty big requirement for me.

When I tried this out during the beta there was a significant pause between each song pulse (I'm guessing to try to prevent the stuck song bug), and it lead to way less uptime, especially compared to the new native /queuemelody built in. Is this any better now? Are there any plans to use dynamically generated /queuemelody's for situations where it makes sense (like just running songs between mezes, interrupt it to mez, etc) to get better uptime on songs?

You should try it. They're all included on the test server with your lvl 2.

The FAQ explains we use our own system and not melody or queuemelody or mq2 twist or mq2medley.

Because we're able to check and track things we maintain a very good uptime.
 
Just set up a 4 box on a new laptop , fresh install of EQ and only using very vanilla and CWTN plugins. What ive noticed is that when i sit my tank , the Bard wants to sit , but because of the twist she will sit/stand non stop like doing a canni dance . I have looked in the Bard CWTN ini and dont see any settings to set her to stand only. Would i need to set up a KissAssist ini to stop this?

No. Please don't run kiss with the cwtn plugins.

Your bard is going to copy the sit state of your tank in chase/vorpal etc.

You can turn off downtime songs if you don't want. /brd ActiveDowntime off Otherwise you're going to do those things on purpose so you can be ready to fight should fighting be coming your way
 
Yes i have been looking through the posts for a fix , and i did see you mention to try NOT to use any of the other plug ins as there might be conflicts. I will try the active downtime ,sadly i think i turned that to ON , on day 1 .

You can also just put it to manual mode if you want it to stand around and then swap mode or call it to attack your target when you're fighting.
 
May need to do that , just turned off the ActiveDowntime and she is still popping up and down with every song being re-cast. Will set up a EQBCS mac for that at a later date . Thanks Sic ..

Well. What songs are we popping up for. If it isnt mq2bard outputting it in the mq2bard window, then it isn't mq2bard doing it.

Without having more information it is starting to sound like *something else* is making you do stuff.
 
With ActiveDowntime turned off she only twists selos and the mana/regen catana. Both of which do output in the mq2bard info panel. The only setting I changed after doing a fresh install was the ActiveDowntime to On and set assist to 100. I even swapped over to a different server , loaded up a 114 bard and she does the same thing. The only reason I mentioned is that it looks odd seeing a bard dance like that while twisting songs , ( red arrow pointing towards the automated bard ). Was just curious if there was a setting I was needing to change .

Nope, it is gonna do that, as expected sitting when the ma sits, in the modes mentioned earlier.

Now this is a good example why cwtn and I have a "how to ask for help" sticky. The old timey selo should probably be added to the active downtime check, I'll have a look at that. Unless you say I'm not going to assume you're doing the content from 20 years ago AND worrying about what people think about what you're doing.

As far as "red arrow to automated toon"
- you should avoid being near other people automating, folks will report you whether you "look obvious" or not.
- endless amount of arguments about "what is obvious" and what isn't. As someone who's boxed in eq1/eq2/wow for 25 years, I can tell you that just about no one is as clever as they think they are. There are often tells for what is manual boxing vs kiss vs cwtn vs broadcasting hotkeys

You can:
- utilize manual mode
- pause automation if you don't want automation to automate
- use a mount (lol, don't do this)
- don't sit on your ma
- make a Lua script to /say with a bunch of things like "don't be jelly of my sweet dance moves", "you like this up and down? I learned it from your mum" (don't do that one, tis mean), "happy happy joy joy" - this one requires a gnome and a dwarf
