Release MQ2AutoLoot

Playing around with Next tonight...

Autoloot is giving me troubles.

First found the Old path issue, fixed that.

Now its not looting... at all.

Screenshots to validate ive read the FAQ
Screenshots purposfully keeping my toon name out of view, I assure you, all from the same Toon.

What am I missing here?
Did you ever get this figured out? I am having the very same issue. I have found that if I have apply filters CHECKED, it does start passing out the loot. If I uncheck it, it does exactly what you show in the above pictures. I does nothing if apply filters is NOT checked....which goes against what everyone has said.

Hi,

This plugin is amazing. I understand that the ini manages the items without loot ingame loot settings.

Is there a way to force the plugin to ONLY manage the items that are flagged as keep inside the ini?

I have tried this out but I'm scared it could take all the loot on my next shei run.

Ideally I am looking for a setting so that loot unknown to the ini stays in the loot window until its been added to the ini or dealt with manually.

Thanks ;)

I personally recommend using lootly over autoloot these days, but autoloot does have something that might help you

/AutoLoot nodropdefault [quest|keep|ignore] -> Will set new no drop items to this value

you can set your nodropdefault to just ignore, so if it is no drop, and you don't have it definied in your ini, it will just ignore it

or you can increase your distributedelay, or you can just /autoloot off for when you do a named

Thanks for the quick reply.

The issue with "ignore" to nodropdefault is that it "leaves it on the ground" instead of ignoring it.

I will look into Lootly I guess

Also where is this lootly plugin?

lootly is a Lua script > Lootly <

and yeah, ignore ignores it =p if you don't want autoloot doing autoloot stuff you can /autoloot off i used to do that when i was fighting a new named

Gonna push my luck here. Is there an option in Lootly to allow me to do what I want to do? (Leave items sitting in adv loot window)

Ok, is there a way to make it so when a Rogue poison vial "Vial of the Shissar 5" drops it will automatically go to my rogue instead of my master looter who is my pullertank?

You will have to set that in your eq userfiles. So I would add the item to the AN file. Once everyone. Has it on their loot file have everyone open the ADVL settings and search for that item and select NVR while on your rogue have him select AN and then have everyone click NVR. So if the item drops your rogue will just be the only one to loot it.

Using this plugin you'd edit your loot.ini file and insert a line in the "V" section like this:

Vial of the Shissar 5=Gear|Classes|ROG|NumberToLoot|100|

Then if your characters were already loaded you'd want to reset the plugin and/or the assignment would be active the next time you restart mq2autoloot.

Latest build on Test and I get the following that crashes the whole team (6 in the party):

Was not a problem in the prior test build.

Every time I try to deposit items in the guild bank with '/autoloot deposit' I crash -- anybody else having this issue? I GPF and have to reload EQ.

Hey guys, I am having trouble with /autoloot barter. It works on all my characters except the rogues and the clerics? For some reason it opens the barter window then immediately closes it. in the MQ window it just says opening barter window, then it says finished bartering and closes the window. These guys are all running the same loot.ini, and have items to barter all set to sell at prices far lower than what people are buying for. I am not sure what I am missing.

For some reason it has stopped working all together. It wont loot anything. When I check the status, it is ON but it doesn't loot anything at all. Is there a setting I might be overlooking?

This doesn't address your question, but I strongly recommend lootly - there are some inherent problems with mq2autoloot that are likely never going to be fixed

I definitely give it a shot. It was so weird how it literally just stopped working out of nowhere. I didn't change any settings at all and it had worked.

But, it may be Innoruk sending me a message that its time to switch to lootly! lol

The one major thing I love about MQ2AutoLoot is that it plays within the boundry of the advloot window. If something it set, autoloot ignores it. If something is unset by the master looter, mq2autoloot steps in.
Lootly has severe problems with advloot running (such as an item being flagged as Never), so the suggestion is to disable advloot while Lootly is being run, but then the customization dies down a bit and Lootly fails to handle Lore items appropriately, unless I set literally everything in the EQ universe to only loot 1 of this item if it's Lore.

I don't even want the selling function, /mac sellstuff has me covered there. I just want something to properly handle looting items (such as chase loot) that I don't have set. I think I am going to move back to MQ2AutoLoot, despite the occasional crash problems when a raid chest is opened.

I know i am Doing something wrong here I can Autoloot Coins though my Character will not Autoloot Items, TS Stuff etc etc

You need lootly or mq2autoloot or mq2lootmanager

I suggest lootly

Autolooting coins is just base eq

I am using MQ2 Autoloot it will just not loot the Items Auto just coins
ah, you didn't post in the mq2autoloot thread - i merged your post into there

did you check the mq2autoloot > FAQ <

Q. Halp! I still am not auto looting and I don't know why?
A. There are a few "common" reasons why you're not autolooting:
- Double-Check in your /advloot window that you do NOT have "Apply Filters" checked, if you DO have this checked you're saying "I would rather use my in-game eq loot filters and not autoloot".
-- Double-Check that you have autoloot turned on with a /autoloot turn on
-- you can also /autoloot status and check your settings.
- Do you have the person you want to autoloot and distribute loot, set as master looter? Right-click in your group window on that person, and set them as master looter.

Trying this in my loot.ini file...

Modified recently to do more augs and to correct a few mistakes....

So I can have filters on and mq2autoloot? If it comes across a chase item that I don’t have in the ini it will loot automatically right? The only thing I have done is start it which created the ini.

I also added all of the bloodsoaked items to the ini just to be safe.

So I tried to start MQ2AutoLoot today for the first time and got this error. Any idea of what's causing it?

Yeah, I'm on a private server so I chose the Emu settings since it didn't like Live settings for most things lol

By any chance have you looked at the Lua Lootly and it's GUI companion Lootier?

I have never had any issues with either of them on Live or Test. I have not tried them on Emu.

Be well. Happy looting.

Thanks I just got it hooked up with the RG launcher so I'll check it out tonight or tomorrow :D

So I think my AutoLoot in VeryVanilla is just... Not there? I tried Lootly and it spit out this
image_2023-04-01_181117137.png

When I check the MQ2 folder it shows me MQ2AutoLoot.dll in the plugins folder but when I check the config folder there's no MQ2AutoLoot.ini; whenever I try to run AutoLoot it spits out that it's not a valid win32 process.

Yes it is updated.

why is it trying to pull from emu folder settings, but our launcher shows live? not saying thats a issue, just wondering if your on emu or live.

under general loot.ini settings (field 7) it discusses how no drops are handled.

I usually set important things to Ignore so that eventually I'll realize there is loot laying on a corpse and look into it further.

Or an alternative is use the GEAR or QUEST options to try to automatically distribute them.

YALM.Lua is pretty customizable. Best loot system I have used yet with MQ. Right off the start you can import your loot.ini or your advanced loot from in game.
