I know that this is a simple question; However, I am a simple person
How do I stop the program from auto looting? I am spending a lot of time deleting items.
Thanks!

Does anyone have an example Loot.ini they can post for me that shows how to distribute loot to your groups.

6. GearDoes anyone have an example Loot.ini they can post for me that shows how to distribute loot to your groups.
For example at the moment my main character keeps hoarding all the "Amorphous Cohort's Breastplate" items but i want it set to once a character has the item, it will distribute it to the next character in the group, this so far i have no idea how to set.

is this where i edit the file? and if so how do i configure it to Loot 1 item of that type per character.. Eg, Sk, then CLR, then Mage and so on
Advice appreciated, many thanks
Is this a clean install of EQ? Did you turn off prompt to loot no drop items in the EQ Options? Or do you mean it doesn't even try to loot them?Have a small problem following clean install on Next. Characters don't automatically loot no drop items like they used to - they get stuck in the "personal loot" section. If I click manually then autoloot does manage the confirm box with no issues. Any ideas?
It was a fresh install of everything but i did backup my eq config files. I’m probably not using mq2loot in the way it was designed as I often manually assign loot from my MA. However what used to happen was that no drop items would normally be auto looted by my group once assigned, now they get stuck in the personal loot section of Advloot window. If I select the tick in the advloot window then autoloot correctly selects yes on the confirmation window. Is this a clean install of EQ? do you have "apply filters" selected? because if so you're telling autoloot that you would like to use the in-game advloot filters instead of autolootIt was a fresh install of everything but i did backup my eq config files. Socal button to completely reset the autoloot plugin

pretty slim chance that autoloot is going to get any update like that. autoloot has a lot of issues that are still unfixed to this day.Now that the advanced loot syntax generator site is down. Any chance someone could add functionality to hand items to specific toons? Say I’m farming items for 1 clerics epic and I need it to goto Sally and not Rachel which is also a cleric. Having an option for the ini to say =toonname:Sally or some such would be awesome. Then if your really feeling generous for the holidays. Having an option for quantity like Sally|5.
That functionality works in autoloot. If lootly had all the same functionality of the plugin I’d switch.pretty slim chance that autoloot is going to get any update like that. autoloot has a lot of issues that are still unfixed to this day.
I'd suggest using lootly, set it the keep|5 (or class|5|Clr and make sally the master looter
what functionality? tooname:sally? not that i'm aware ofThat functionality works in autoloot. If lootly had all the same functionality of the plugin I’d switch.
/hidecorpse none
/hidecorpse looted
i don't either.I don’t see the purpose of destroying loot. It’s not like a normal player is sitting there clicking destroy on all the advloot stuff. Most people just set their loot filters and forget about it.
Then if someone else wants the thing, they can still loot it.
And if you need something yourself because your loot filters were broken, just:
And go through them to find what you are looking for.Code:/hidecorpse none /hidecorpse looted
If someone with MQ who can see everything on the map zones in, they can see from across the zone a huge pile of green and rather than assuming at first glance the pile-maker may just be in the zone stationary or afk, it's a dead giveaway they are active and that will draw the attention of some...even if not everyone. When you see no corpses at all, you don't look at the map and see a ton of green immediately catching your attention. Beyond that, there are many people who will just loot everything and then destroy things or sell later on. I do understand your point that having ZERO corpses around an actively killing person may seem suspicious if you are standing next to them watching them kill in real-time (not a normal scenario for safe MQers), but - in my humble opinion - it doesn't set off nearly as many red flags as the huge pile of corpses sitting there flagging them both on the map and for those people who may be running by. People can also walk up and /con corpses to get an idea of how recently you were killing the most recent mobs near you...even if try to pretend to go AFK when they approach...or for those who have their tripwires set to do such a thing.I don’t see the purpose of destroying loot. I agree with the personal agency aspect as far as i mentioned from the author's perspective. I do not want to take responsibility for the possibility of anyone's items being deleted, so as an author of stuff, it is absolutely very unlikely i will personally ever implement something that deletes stuff. If someone with MQ who can see everything on the map zones in, they can see from across the zone a huge pile of green and rather than assuming at first glance the pile-maker may just be in the zone stationary or afk, it's a dead giveaway they are active and that will draw the attention of some...even if not everyone. Ultimately, it's obvious to see that there are people with arguments on both sides of this discussion and that's why it's a great thing to have a tool in place that allows each individual player to decide for themselves what will give them personally the greatest peace of mind. Having the option to do either, a person can make the choice to delete MOST corpses as they go, none, or all...and therefore feel safer which the approach they feel best for their own circumstances. Personally, if I ever see someone with no corpses around, I've always just assumed their EQ loot filters (part of the natural game) were handling looting for them. I've never stopped to wonder what type of "extra" looting mechanism might be in place to make happen what EQ will do automatically on it's own. People tend to play in groups (even if boxing) and that allows as many players as they have to be looting...more reason to not be suspicious if all their kills are actually being looted as well.
I don't personally see the value in intentionally littering the floor around your toons with corpses, but for those who think that will look more realistic for whatever their reasons, it's good they have the choice to delete whatever they'd like and then CHOOSE to leave certain loots on the mobs to create a few corpses and thus the impression they'd like to make on anyone else in the zone with them. Someone hiding corpses for themselves has really nothing to do with the safety aspect/concern. It's really a suggestion for those who just personally don't want to see corpses or need such a suggestion for lag/performance issues.
I think the best solution to this debate is always ensuring that each individual player always has a working tool in place to make these decisions for themselves and their own situation.
I have never had the experience of MQ2AutoLoot deleting anything that I didn't personally set for delete. If that happens to people and it just hasn't happened to me...then ok. But I don't think an author of a plugin should ever be held responsible for user-errors, which is what I think you are describing.I agree with the personal agency aspect as far as i mentioned from the author's perspective. /autoloot deposit and it gets to an item that is stackable and I have more than 1, it gets stuck with the window open to choose the quantity. If I click accept it puts the items in the bank and moves on, until the next stack with more than one item, rinse and repeat.probably need to use quotes "this item of cool stuff"Trying to exclude the Trademaster's Component Satchel in the empty slot checks. When is saves, it just states Trademaster's. Getting frustrated as the toon keeps looting when should not be...
I have read in another thread that this functionality is not working? Is that true? If it is working, can you change the order in which the classes appear to force mq2autoloot to distribute new loot in that order? For instance, if I change the classes to |SHD|PAL|WAR|BRD| will it check the shd first and if he has it move on to the paladin, etc? If not, how is the order to distribute loot determined?Amorphous Cohort's Breastplate|Classes|WAR|PAL|SHD|BRD|NumberToLoot|1|
