MQ2AFNuke

Release MQ2AFNuke

I can help test it. I'm a C/C++ developer as well if you need to shed some work. Just offering since the sources aren't public.

I use this for my wizard, but I plan to bring up 2 more. i noticed that the plugin doesn't utilize Frostbound Conjunction. Hate to add more onto your plate, but that would be nice to fire if its in the spell set.
So, it's not difficult to add, but it might be difficult to time if you have multiple wizards. If they all started at the exact same time, they might try to cast at the same time, instead of on a "rotation." Also, I don't raid with my wizard any more, so honest question... Is it worth casting in the current expansion?

It wouldn't help between the time the first wizard starts casting til it lands on the mob, but I think the CWTN plugins check for the debuff so you could try that.

It feels a little hacky, but if I were to try to code this up, I think I'd try to find 3-4 spots in the spell rotation you have that it could fit, then build an array of the wizards in my group/raid and alphasort that array, then assign one of the spots in the rotation for each spot in the array and if the mob already has the debuff just skip to the next spell. Of course this is coming from me with no plugin development experience so it might not be possible or be overengineered, but maybe it'll help.

two+ wiz can trigger it, its not worth the cast time in LS (mana cost/dmg done is out of date), however, people can be self inefficient all they want, so maybe have it as toggle?

And yes, it puts a debuff on the mob, and you would have to check that before casting, though even then its risky, cause it will bounce (block by other wiz), still uses mana, GCD timer and mana :ohdear:

In my previous experience, two wizards could only trigger if twincasting and using quick cast spells (most of which aren't worth casting - as in they lower DPS to use them instead of slower casting spells). Otherwise, you need 3 or more for it to be useful.

Yeah, my plugin also checks for debuffs before casting spells like these (and has for several years). As far as "rotation" is considered, there's no concept in my plugins. It casts spells on refresh like you would with a keybind. The order of spells depends on factors like burns, twincast, twincast procs, ADPS, etc. I'll add it as an option in the next release, but the default will be off. It will not synchronize across the raid, but assume that timing isn't going to be perfect, and some wizard's spell will land first. It may cost time, but really, I would just never turn it on.

If you want to test, you can use these plugins. I welcome any feedback in these recent changes. This is AFNuke and Heals in the .zip.

you sound like you're asking about the cwtn plugis yet still - you posted in general "plugin" section, not the cwtn section - and as mentioned, there is a release schedule posted in the sticky for mq2wizard and mq2bard - which are currently not released.

an alternative plugin that works for wizards is mq2afnuke - which is not a cwtn class plugin, so no, would not have cwtn class plugin stuff (but likely their own version of similar automation functionality you will find across different suites)
Well damn. I thought for sure there would be a plugin you could buy for wizards.

Yeah, sorry... AFNuke is free. If you send me money for it, I will take it though...
If you have a wizard, give it a try. It has been around for many years, and is quite capable, and highly customizable. It'll also play a few other classes listed on the MQ2AFNuke resource (and probably a few I haven't taken the time to add to the resource page).

Hell I can't even figure how to turn it on so my wizard starts nuking that would be a start

Load the Plugin:
/plugin afnuke

Start the plugin:
/nuke resume
Refer to snips above to open GUI settings for burns, etc... I'd suggest not messing with puller on wizard... Might not go over so well for your wizard's health. That was meant for SK/Warrior (I don't have a paladin, but might make one to add support).

Edit: If you open the settings (EQ Button -> MacroQuest -> Settings -> Plugins -> AFNuke), and it looks like this, it's enabled and running... Set a Group MT and MA, and pull something.

Awesome thanks. I'm very new to all of this.

It's all good. There are a ton of options, so mess around with them and find what works for you. It'll also play your Mage, Druid, Ranger, Enchanter, and I am working on SK, Rogue, Warrior... But, I don't have tight release schedules... It's sorta when I have time after work. If you need heals, I got a plugin for that too (also free).

I just did a lot of refactoring, so some things may be buggy. There are some fixes coming for current known issues. There's a test version you can play with in the MQ2AFNuke thread if you're brave.

Nothing has changed on my end, only thing I use on my wiz. I keep getting ' You don't have that ability' , he won't cast or do anything in combat.

He is 125 max aa, max everything.
When I switch to /rgstart he works, but nothing like my nuke on :)

Took out the aanukes and singleforce, fixed it, will narrow to one or the other..
Hm, I'll test them. Single force should only use one AA nuke per GCD, where it will try to use as many as it can w/o that checked... But will only cast them if AAnukes is also checked.

When I turned them both off and then turned them on one at a time, I haven't had the same issues. It is working fine now. No idea..

Hmm, back to doing it. I toggle MQAfnukes off, go to kissassist or rgmercs and np's..
Do you have MA/MT set in group? How are their assists setup? I have been using wiz for the last couple years and havent had this issue

As you can see we're nuking just fine, I have assists set to default right assisting my mage or main tank.

I have been rocking the same way for years now. Haven't changed any settings until it started spamming the not having the ability. Then I tried the turning forces and other stuff to see what could be causing, then resetting it back to stock.
But when I use KA or RG it doesn't spam anything except the spells it's supposed to..

Can try turning on debug when it happens to see what spell/AA it's trying to spam.

Thanks sir
You're welcome! Let me know if this shows the problem. If you're using KA on other toons, it could be unloading MQ2Cast, which would cause wonkiness, failure. I've gotten rid of most of the MQ2Cast dependencies, but not sure I got rid of them all on AFNuke yet.

It seems to be something with glyphs, when I uncheck it, seems to work fine. I tried the debug option. I did not see anything happening. I have maxxed aa's and I burn glyph's , nothing to buy except them. Even when I have them all purchased it will do it. I will just manually use glyphs hehe.

Loving this plugin, thank you! Only bit of feedback I'd give is maybe doBuffs should be enabled by default? I've been using the plugin for a week or so and only just realized my wizards weren't using their familiars. Turning that on did the trick and they went from awesome to awesomer!

Oh, I am also running into the issue posted above with /nuke memorize. I'm able to workaround it since you've posted your spell lineups at various levels (my wizards are 115 f2p), but when I try to run that command it will either do nothing or briefly open the spell book and then close it right back. I tried running it with debug on, but nothing got output sorry.

Yeah, sorry about that. I've been focused on fixing/enhancing other parts of the code, but it's on my todo list. The buffs are disabled by default because they're not 100% working for all classes yet. Wiz buffs are simple, so they work fine.

Nothing to apologize for, was just adding data points for ya. That makes sense about the buffs.

/nuke doburn on -> toggles teh automatic burn on, doesnt it?
and then i would set mobburnthreshold # as to when it does that burn right?

is there a way to trigger it manually like /nuke doburn now ?

/blush

If you set threshold to 0 it would have the same effect... Unless you're trying to pre-burn for a raid or named. I'd have to check if I ever made a click all burns now option.

my apologies for returning to this late. I'd kill to test alliance with both of my raid wizards. I'd love to have mq2wizard but at this point I think Sic and CWTN have given up on it =(

Well, you're always welcome to use Afnuke. It works exceptionally well for wizard DPS in group and raid settings.
