Release MQ2AAspend

The fix stopped working after a few rounds of aa purchase. Back to it not purchasing General or focus aa's. I'll figure it out and repost later.

I am having issues with getting this one to buy focus AA.
It has worked completely fine for all AA so far up to 4, it seems to skip all the focus aa and goes straight to Divine Arbitration. Am i doing something wrong?

Would it be possible to add a command that would list the last 10 or 20 AA's bought?
Keep a log for each character then read back the log?

9:48:06 Bought Level 6 of Focus: Spiritual Remedy for 100 pts
9:42:08 Bought Level 7of Focus: Spiritual Remedy for 100 pts

The purchases kind of get lost in the spam, and I really enjoy seeing my characters progress.

@ctaylor22
using a trick on sham once maxed to only buy glyph and forget these enabled/disabled aas, /aaspend order 44444
so brute will only buy aas in special tab.
Would something like this work if I only wanted to spend in tabs 3 & 2 initially, and only after 50 AAs have been banked (for example):
[CODE lang="ini" title="MQ2AA Spend Settings"][MQ2AASpend_Settings]
AutoSpend=0
BruteForce=1
BruteForceBonusFirst=0
BankPoints=50
SpendOrder=32
MercAutoSpend=0
MercBruteForce=0
MercSpendOrder=32514
MercOrderAuto=0[/CODE]

Cna you use /aaspend add "AA Name" level to prevent this app from buying Languid Bite shaman aa? It keeps turning the stupid thing back on when I don't want it on.

hello top the community!

as returning player i would like to know, if there are some aaspend inis out there which you can use?
(shm, ber, enc, cle preferred).

thanks a lot for your help!

many folks, myself included, find making an entire list of all of the AAs not so fun, so we juse use brute.

otherwise you'd need to list out "Erry thing"

this is how i normally do it:

INI:
/plugin mq2aaspend load
/aaspend bank 200
/aaspend order 53214
/aaspend brute on
/aaspend save

you can turn on the option to skip autogranted stuff - which goes up to EoK (105) and sometime maybe (dbg hasn't confirmed when yet) RoS and 110.

does that help you at all? this would allow you to only spend points on stuff you don't get for free

what is your level that you're at?

soon 115 and heading to 120 then - autogrant is enabled.... (want to do all the cool griklor etc stuff;-) ) - still time to get those aa-lists up - thx a lot!

Question on merc AA. Assuming mercbrute is on: Does it bank (like normal AA) to a certain threshold or spend it as soon as it sees there's something it can buy? If it banks, what's the threshold?

I was using aaspend fine until the last patch, now "/aaspend bouns on" will not buy anything even if there are aas to buy. I get he "I couldn't find any AA's to purchase, maybe you have them all?" error message with 100+ aa's and bank set to 0.

/aaspend order 53214
/aaspend brute on
/aaspend save

this ignores the spend order and just buys from cheapest to most expensive. I am running brute at the moment and it is buying TS aa's when there are a ton of other more useful aas still available.

Maybe you already have all non autogranted AA's. Bonus on is for non autogranted aas.

I thought of that, which is why I swapped to brute mode. But regardless of the spend order I use it is buying first available at lowest cost and ignoring the spend order set.

also noticed, and am not sure if it means anything, that on the /aaspend status that the merc order will list out General, Melee DPS, etc when you change the order, but the other aa list it just says 53214 or what ever.

bank=0 is your problem. Once the bank threshold is met, the plugin will purchase the cheapest AA it can find. It will check tabs in the order that you have set, but it will go to each tab until it finds something to buy. If you want the plugin to live in only 1 tab and buy all AAs in that tab until it's full, you need a bank value that is higher than the most expensive AA in that tab.

Not sure if this has been said before but the concept is still the same, using Dannet I run the same on my 6 bots after I get to 110, ymmv.

Code:
/dgga /plugin mq2aaspend load
/dgga /aaspend bank 200
/dgga /aaspend order 53214
/dgga /aaspend brute on
/dgga /aaspend save

Works great for me.

It won't purchase until your bank is met. And that tab is the tab it is on

I do 53214 for order, 200-220 for bank, and brute

Tried it but sais this.
Real quick I'd like to clarify for you that adding something is used for auto, not brute. Brute will buy things based on the order (default 35214), (In Sic's example 53214, where the numbers relate to which tab. 5 is the 5th tab in the AA window for example) and it will depend on bank amount. So if your bank is 0 and you gain an AA, brute will attempt to buy any AA that costs 1 AA checking the tabs in the order presented until it finds one. This usually results in "unexpected" but intended AA purchases. So for brute you need to set the bank to a value high enough that before looking to spend AA's you'll have enough AA points to buy an AA in the tab of your preference. If you are wanting to work on any AA that costs less than or equal to 100 AAs, then you would set your bank to 100. Then when your character has 100 AA's it will check the tabs in the order you presented and buy the first AA it finds that cost less than or equal to 100 AA's, it will then wait until you have 100 AA's to try again. So if your bank was 100, and you bought an AA that costed 28 AA points, you would then have 72 remaining AA's, you would wait until you gained those 28 AA's back before trying to make another automatic AA purchase.

With Auto it uses the list where you add an AA to a list, and then it will ONLY buy from the list. Assuming no bank amount is provided, it will attempt to purchase an AA every time you earn one, and it will buy the cheapest one in the list. If there are AA's with matching costs, it will buy the first one it encounters as it scans through them. If you've purchased all the AA's up to the limit specified for the AA added to the list, and there are no more additional entries in the list, auto will not then purchase anymore AA's until you add another entry to the list that can be purchased.

I've just realized that a lot of this information (and other information) is missing from the overview/commands list/and wiki. I've edited the commands tab of this resource to hopefully help with some future questions. I tried to edit the wiki, but I don't speak wiki and it didn't look great so I opted not to save it.

Your specific situation sounds like it was /aaspend debug on being used. and your fix was likely /aaspend debug off

amazing cheers

If the character doesn't have Essence of the Dragon Merc AA completed brute will keep attempting to purchase it and won't purchase other AA. Every time I force it using now it attempts to purchase Essence and nothing else. Resulted in one of my characters capping at 60 banked for a while before I noticed.

I realize that inputting every other AA into the auto list is a workaround but it seems sub optimal.

Have you tried setting an order that puts the special tab last?
Merc AA aren't by tab, they're by category, Essence is part of the General category, as are Health, Mana, Melee Defense, and Spell Resistance, some of which are required for other AA, which would bring us back around to the only real option of inputting every other AA into the auto list manually, again sub optimal.

Ah apologies I don't often deal with merc AA I thought you were talking about the one in the special tab for the character.

/aaspend mercbrute now or on, toon tries to claim general Essence of the Dragon 0/1 but its not an option as it is locked. Then fizzles out collecting any other General stuff. Is there a way to skip Essence of the Dragon in claiming merc aa's?

Update: I just decided to improvise with trying to edit and get 30 plus toons working. Hoping after running this on all toons it will set up the ini file to spend away on merc aa.
Code:
sub main
/echo starting new macro
/aaspend mercadd "Improved Health" maxlevel
/delay 5s
/aaspend mercadd "Improved Mana" maxlevel
/delay 5s
/aaspend mercadd "Improved Melee Defense" maxlevel
/delay 5s
/aaspend mercadd "Improved Spell Resistance" maxlevel
/delay 5s
/aaspend mercadd "Healing Acumen" maxlevel

/aaspend mercadd "Subtle Magic" maxlevel
/delay 5s
/aaspend mercadd "Furious Wrath" maxlevel

/aaspend mercadd "Steadfast Resolve" maxlevel
/delay 5s
/aaspend mercadd "Rising Fury" maxlevel
/delay 5s
/aaspend mercadd "Subtle Strikes" maxlevel
/delay 5s
/aaspend mercadd "Mystic Destruction" maxlevel
/delay 5s
/aaspend mercadd "Silent Arcanum" maxlevel
/delay 5s
/aaspend mercbrute off
/delay 5s
/aaspend mercauto on
/delay 5s
/aaspend save

Any chance someone has made some ini files for each character for a good priority? Fairly new to the site, so still digging around.

nah, that is a fool's errand really - you get so much with autogrant now, and then just brute the rest is what most folks do - otherwise that is a huge amount of writing up.

once you have your AAs, it is like 5-10 per new expac, so there isn't a lot of value to come up with a list for all 16 classes

this is more or less what i do (220 bank on some classes like nec/shm)
I often cherry pick some as i go depending on the class
INI:
/aaspend brute on
/aaspend order 53214
/aaspend bank 200
/aaspend save

Like Sic mentioned. Usually you max out AA so fast that it's really not worth prioritizing. If you set your bank at like 200 plus you can always jump in and buy something if you feel like you need it before the autospend kicks in.
