check under you, just noticed that i guess it only allows us to upload a certain amount of files per post - just unzip the zip into your release folder and GG. Sorry about that - would have guessed the forums would be like "yo bro don't upload any more things" instead of "hell yeah bro keep uploading (idiot doesn't know that i just wont show them)"
 
Eh you would figure a highly valued member such as yourself, would be able to beat the forums mechanics anyway haha. But much love bud.
 
Just downloaded the zip and worked perfectly on two installs (2 diff pcs). Sincerely thank you Sic. Only been back on VV for a few weeks and was going through withdrawls. Knocked out bard, shaman, and cleric epics from scratch this week on new alts.
 
Also just tried mq2mybuttons and saw same thing (but was loading it for first time).

Edit: when I loaded it I got an error on the DLL. Funny thing s I hit cancel it froze the instance. I logged back in and the extra hotbar is there. But I did receive the error when loading.

These should be the ones missing - let me know if there are others.

just unload mq2 on all your toons /bcaa //unload if you are using eqbc, for example.

place all these files in your MQ2 -> Release folder

then go to your mq2 icon
right click
and left click on "Reload MQ2"

thanks for the quick fix sic.. much appreciated :)

looks like most of the non-core plugins are in need of recompiling.. spawnmaster, feedme, twist, all blew up.

Still getting errors on a few dll's MQ2Twist, MQ2Feedme, and MQ2autoforage

re: the dbg thing - nah some changes cause some other issues, and it looks like stuff needed to have another full rebuild, but only a few things got rebuilt.

this will all be "back to normal" likely later on today.

@eqmule is the real MVP here - he's been bustin ass for several days trying to get us all back

@eqmule is the real MVP here - he's been bustin ass for several days trying to get us all back

yeah this was a big one.. i cant remember the last time the compile took more than 24-36 hours... i can only imagine how much work it was.

so, did these changes break alot of stuff downstream, TLO changes etc?

nah nothing like that.

dbg updated their compiler - so it required a bunch of manual stuff for us to find what "everything looks like now".

so no "chicken licken sky is falling" or anything like that - they just updated THEIR stuff lol

so presumably once the test compile is all smoothed out and we all run it thru its paces, should be smooth sailing for the live patch update when it hits? (unless they sneak stuff in between then and now!)

well, assuming they don't do anything else unexpected - I wouldn't expect it to be more or less like usual, but mule would be able to speak to that much more directly than my guess
 
just logged in all my toons, that last batch seems to have fixed it ( for me at least ) Thanks so much for all the effort getting us back in game :)
 
So everything seems to be working fine found a weird bug or something I've never experienced before with VV. It seems the mq2 window header is ghosting in a diff spot as seen in screenshot if you touch it it moves the window and completely changes your window placement to the default size and settings. The bigger window is default MQ window but you can see the header hovering in the middle.

Thanks for getting those DLLs out. I was able to load up with no problem after replacing the files!

- Fixed a backwards compatability problem with CPageWnd::GetTabText and CStmlWnd::GetSTMLText for TEST
If you already changed your plugins to use STMLText.Ptr instead of just STMLText you can change it back.
Sorry for the inconvenience, it was a difficult patch which took several days to fix,
I did not have time to think that change through until I had a good nights sleep.

So not sure if it's just me but found a big with the guild hall portal ease of travel. Doesn't turn on at all - just the normal guild hall portal now when you click. Not game stopping but thought I'd point it out before next live patch.

it works ok for me.. Are you sure the plugin associated with it (mq2portalsetter) is loaded?

So funny enough I Had to load and unload mq2events earlier to get it to work also. I wonder if me downloading those files earlier messed with it?

hmm maybe an unload and load of that one may fix it again? I did reinstall the test compile again after redbot put it up.. not the original one from last night with the recompiled dll's that sic gave us..

if you were already in game and THEN loaded any plugin like portalsetter, pluginmanager or others that have their own ui window - you need to /reloadui

Yep and that one I did do and fixed the issue. I will say I had to unload and reload mq2event to get the events to work. But never been through a patch with events before either.
 
VV MQ2 was just reported as ransomware and quarantined by my AV software after the 1/31/2021 update. Any thing change between the latest version and the current one as the previous ones did not have that warning.

false positives happen frequently - you should report back to them

test was patched and mq2 isn't updated yet

once that's updated then VV will be rebuilt - its nothing you can do at this time.

on the top right hand side of this thread there is a "watch" button

and you can get notified when its updated if that makes your life easier

alternate way if you want a more easier way to check things, Hook upto discord :-), you can see on the discord ive got it on my mobile so when expected Test patchs, i just look out for redbot posts, or the forum reply :)
Unfourtantly sometimes the patches can take a bit, depends on what needs changing, a bit of redguides and we cant play EQ the classic way haha, 4boxed my main chars and after a hour i was like i still forgot to how box efficiectly haha

I’m just running an epic while I wait. I was trying to do the shaman pre-quest but it is turning out to be faster to actually do the 1.0. I guess it will depend what fear looks like but I think I can get an AoC so there will be no issues.
