I'm a new MQ2 user and I play on test.

Is it typical to have such frequent long downtimes? This is at least the third lengthy downtime in recent weeks. That's totally fine, I'm not trying to complain, but I might re evaluate what server I play on, or how I play the game, if this is routine.

test has been having increasingly more patches and changes over the past couple of months so its tough to say.

nah definitely a valid question.

test has its perks and its drawbacks - drawbacks have been a little excessive last couple months so i hear ya.

dbg keeps patching test, then live, then patches test to the live patch - so test has been getting 2+ patches instead of 1. and with the recent compiler changes, test takes longer than live for the first round

its definitely understandable your curiosity

Test is best when you’re on a budget though. As many gold-Ish accounts as you want! I still plan to get a couple krono so I can testcopy some heroics from miragul though. Beastlord was ok but I wasn’t too impressed.

RedGuides now has to compile Very Vanilla and we will get the update button on the launcher. Usually doesn't take very long for these guys to get it out for us.

The attention is appreciated, but at the end of the day, we're lucky to get to use these tools half of the time on the test server. You guys make great products, unequaled, but if the updates from DBG or whoever runs this clowncar these days is going to be this frequent, your tools either keep up or become obsolete. I like what you do but it appears anyone getting in now is doing so a few months too late.

30min-1hr prior is all the notice they give now ... thats freakin GREAT service!

Test updates ebb and flow, so I think saying "getting in now" is a weird assumption. They happen when they happen.

There were times in the past where an update to EQ would take weeks for MQ to start working again. eqmule does a good job trying to keep Test up to date and it's usually up within a couple hours. These last few are anomalies more than indicators.

Not sure if it is EQ, MQ2 or RG related but today I was locking up while zoning and then getting error 1017 when trying to get back in. I could log in no problem on live with nothing running but Test server was a bungle of issues.

there was a lot of complaints about not being able to log in as well and few other issues so who knows. I have not been able to log into test for over an hour

your best bet is to "watch" the resource, because even once mq2 is updated, VeryVanilla has to be rebuilt

Hello!

A little over a month ago I started playing on Test. I haven't experienced any issues with MQ2 until I took a few days off. Now, when loading the game, I receive two (2) popup messages, both with the title, "Either MQ2 or eqgame is out of date" but with different dates. Also, the MQ2 Launcher displays "Patch Day - Unavailable" when the Test server is selected. Please see the attached picture.

I am uncertain of what's going on. I have reinstalled MQ2 several times (and hopefully I haven't messed up something by changing the directory), but it still will not load. However, MQ2 does seem to load when attempting to enter a Live server. Is there something going on with Test? Please advise. Thank you!
