/ooc, /shout or other public channels. This has been an unwritten rule that's kept casino scripts off the site for decades, but we're now compelled to make it clear: keep automated communication private./target over impossible distances when /nav spawn would passively accomplish the same thing, a spawn search that fires 20+ times per second, and other pointless actions that are likely annoying GMs./lua run
Nope.... ctaylor22 pushed an update the other day. Its just not had a MAJOR revision in a while.I've been away from the game for a few months and not really back, either. One thing I've noticed is there doesn't seem to be much going on with KA. Still at rev 12.002, very few questions here. Has all the action moved to CWTN plugins? That would be a shame if so.
Nope. I help folks with kiss daily, 7 days a week meaning plenty of folks use kiss.I've been away from the game for a few months and not really back, either. I think KA has matured quite considerably and is a very stable tool for the control come interaction of toons with the EQ world.
Yes please! I like Maui (though it produces ugly .ini files) but dislike mule; I’d love a polished similar gui for KA.What i wouldn't give for a LUA Kissassist

- For the brave, there is a half baked KA support squirreled away if you edit ma/globals.lua and set local schemas = {'ma', 'ka',}, because reasons.
if ImGui.Button('Mem Spells') then
if globals.CurrentSchema == 'ka' then
mq.cmdf('/memmyspells')
else
mq.cmdf('/memmyspells %s', globals.INIFile)
end
end
if not mq.TLO.Macro() or (mq.TLO.Macro.Name() ~= 'muleassist.mac' and mq.TLO.Macro.Name() ~= 'kissassist.mac') then
...
elseif mq.TLO.Macro.Name() == 'muleassist.mac' or mq.TLO.Macro.Name() == 'kissassist.mac' then
Well.Well, well, well
I knew I read about it:
from: MAUI update
A few things should be changed IMO:
start.lua (Line 919+):
Lua:if ImGui.Button('Mem Spells') then if globals.CurrentSchema == 'ka' then mq.cmdf('/memmyspells') else mq.cmdf('/memmyspells %s', globals.INIFile) end end
and, same file:
Lua:if not mq.TLO.Macro() or (mq.TLO.Macro.Name() ~= 'muleassist.mac' and mq.TLO.Macro.Name() ~= 'kissassist.mac') then ... elseif mq.TLO.Macro.Name() == 'muleassist.mac' or mq.TLO.Macro.Name() == 'kissassist.mac' then
Same, KA is amazing. I used both CWTN and KA, specially for casters/rangers/bardsI use CWTN plugins and Kiss Assist. Love them both.

the "plugins are inherently faster" thing is not a real thing - it is just a design differenceI am not sure about KA, but I do use RGMercs currently. (getting ready to go plugin). RGMercs still kind of works. Many functions are not completely functional, or are borderline functional. Seems from the responses, KA is doing well. I would venture to guess that the future is plugins. From the data I have collected it appears that Plugins are faster responding to the game, as well as more feature rich. Depending on your enjoyability of the game, you may or may not like the sub price. But if EQ still has a major impact on your enjoyment in life, I would say it's not a big deal. I mean c'mon we do pay a monthly sub to a game that was created before the millennium came around.![]()

Well @Doc James it depends. The only downside on my everyday play with KA is i can't run for example /mac overseer, and then run my /mac kissassist player 99 assist right? But that's not really a big deal anyways because it's every 6 hours. You can just pause or now I think you can even /Lua run overseer (haven't tried it yet). I think that where folks on the thread above are saying, some stuff is moving to Lua so you can for example have you mage running KA for dps assist and then you can /Lua run mm for the mana stuff or run overseer etc...I am not sure about KA, but I do use RGMercs currently. I mean at the end of the day everything works well, just sometimes not concurrently.
Agreed. Ive trying on hand on Lua and its still a steep hill for me!While this thread is being derailed -- I'd say lua is the future.
