Hi All,

My Wizard seems to have excessivly low dps. He isn't maxx AA's yet but should be able to out dps a Shaman.

There's a bit of a conflict between what a wizard should do in their rotation and the way KA runs dps tags. Wiz should always cast vortex as soon as it refreshes and then rotate claw and best ready nuke. KA rotates all the way through the spells listed, in order. So in your example, you lead off with vortex at #10 , and run all the way through DPS22 before you might re-cast vortex.

You can take a look at the way i built my KA wiz here. I haven't updated it in a while, but you would want something like shown below to force KA to keep vortex up.

I would strongly recommend mq2afnuke for wiz at the moment though, until the happy day mq2wizard is out.

I'm a novice at this, but I'm surprised no one has said using lower 'lower element' AA as DPS1. So now I question myself. Every little bit helps, and it adds up I figure.

"Reduces cold and fire resistance by 95 points for 5 mins"
 
@zjessez is right when it comes to lower element. Here is what I use for my wiz on KA. It likely needs some tweaking for you, but it does 500k - 600k dps regularly.

I will go out on a limb and say that KA could very much be your problem as well.... KA doesnt switch between sections of the INI well for wizards. Like checking heals, dps, buffs, etc. It will stall out for seconds at a time and the last thing you want is your spell gems any color other than blacked out or grey. You want to streamline your KA as much as humanly possible by cutting out any unneccesary buffs, debuffs, conditions, etc. if not scrap KA all together. I begun using Mq2AFnuke for my wizard and Im getting in the top 5 dps in my guild. You wont get many condition controls, but if you want a wizard to just blast anything that moves, I recommend this route.

just for the record, you dont need to put ranks on spells. I used to run it on twincast cause there was an issue with twincast years and years ago, but i am not sure its still doing it.

You, thanks. I was made aware a while ago but have not had to edit the ini for a while. It's on the list to do on the next edit.
 
i dunno if others were running into the issue but what i did to fix my wizzy DPS on mangler was actually slowing down the DPSInterval=0 to DPS inverval 2 or 3 cause i found having it faster made her encounter more stuck spellgem issues which slowed down even more compared to just having her set at a slightly higher value mine is currently set at DPSInterval=3 and is pulling 100k DPS and still being mana efficient at level 110
