IRL - What you play when EQ is down?

Gaming time is so limited now, it's tough keeping multiple hobbies: Sports, Games, TV, MtG

Baldur's Gate 1 & 3
Various Final Fantasy games, trying to beat as many as I can
Witcher 3

Mostly single player games I can pick up and put down at any time.

Ultima Online
Enshrouded
Dune:Awakening

Those have been the recent ones. I dont play EQ on live servers anymore but I still play on some of the EMU servers.
UO live or one of the private shards? I had an itch for oldschool UO (pre-trammel) that included new stuff a few years ago and gave Outlands a shot. It was fun for awhile, but does end up getting grind-ish, and getting ganked by other players does get old when trying to do so. I didn't complain about it though, I knew what I signed up for :)

I played on Outlands for quite a while, I still have a nice house there i maintain ... but it's too toxic to play there full time lol. I hang out on UOAlive when i get the itch, PVE only server. Ive tried some of the others but they are either dead or too much p2w.
I actually hop around in a ton of different games ..GW2, DAOC, 7D2D etc ... one of the advantages of being retired :)

You gonna try GW3? And did you try Aion2?

I sort of ye old bags, restock the traders, plan the next TS mule, and plan what items to put on what toon... while telling bad jokes in game =P

Whats the best xmas gift to give kids?

A broken drum set... can't beat it!

I take a lot of breaks from EQ and up playing a variety of stuff.

I've been playing Factorio lately.
I also like to play keep up with D4 every couple months.
I accidentally spent about 500 hours playing Rogue Trader (Steam contests that number, but I swear it was only 500).
Rimworld ends up in my playlist a lot.
I'm also eyeing this new final fantasy that just released. The FF7 remakes are cool for nostalgia, but I'm not a huge fan of the gameplay. This new one is more like the old school games we all grew up with.

how many actual "new" players EQ gains annually.
Yeah. I have to think it's close to zero. The couple people I know that have tried it (having never played it at all) were immediately turned off by the UI and default window setup. It might be the worst new player experience in all of gaming.

I must confess I am slightly surprised to see people being into starcraft/brood war.
My wrists of fucked from too many years of development and gaming, so I don't play it anymore, but I watch the pro casters on YT all the time. Such a cool game.
